I was well over due, My Oil Change. So, I took it back to Trotter, and they changed my Oil, and set my Tire Pressure, and others Electronic Devices for me. This was done, over an Oil Change. WOW! I'm Impressed...

A guy called to confirm that I was going to come look at a car Saturday and I agreed. He said he would call me if something happened or it sold. I noticed it was taken down and never got a call saying it had been sold. Really unprofessional on their part.

*WARNING!!-LONG READ!!*I bought my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Trotter in El Dorado. When I originally bought the vehicle, they took my Cadillac for a test drive as a trade in. They ended up leaving my key fob sitting on top of the car, and when homeboy whipped it around going down the road, the key fob was lost. After me and, what seemed to be, the entire staff walking down the road in pouring down rain, my key fob was then found completely ran over. With that being said, they supplied legal tint on my Jeep as a "Sorry." Cool. But there's more.A couple years down the road. I haven't had a single problem with my Jeep. Until:*August 2022:Went to town one day and when I went to get in my vehicle to leave, it wouldn't start. (Push Start, mind you.) It would turn over, not crank, but then wouldn't shut off. It just stayed "running," but then eventually kick off. I get it towed to the dealership being that's where I bought it from.*September-ish 2022:They told me it was the ECM. Bought one. Didn't fix it. (Reimbursed.)*October-ish 2022:They told me it was the Starter. Bought one. Didn't fix it. (Not reimbursed.)*November-ish 2022:They told me it was a head gasket. Bought one. Didn't fix it. (Mostly reimbursed.)*December-ish 2022-February 2023:They then tell me my motor has a "bent rod."Want me to pay $5,400 for the motor that is on back order with no tracking or estimated shipping/delivery.Somewhere along the way, they also fixed my hydraulic control module, because my brake lights stayed on. This has a recall. But I can't seem to get Chrysler to claim it? Anyway. I never gave Trotter the indication to fix this. They fixed it anyway, thanks. So I thought? Nope. Bought it. (Not reimbursed.)They also let my batteries completely deplete while they had my vehicle. Bought them. (Not reimbursed.)Meanwhile, they've had my vehicle sitting outside. With the window down. With plastic taped around it.Went by to pay my ridiculous $1,500 for parts and labor that didn't fix a single thing, to find my carpet on the floorboards to be soaking wet from all the rain. (Thanks for the mildew now setting in, I appreciate that.)Trotter has had my vehicle 7 months. SEVEN. MONTHS. To go from something electrical to mechanical and it still not working. (Oh, did I mention that their technicians don't know what they're doing? They called in a "retired certified Chrysler expert" to work on my Jeep. Anddddd. Here we are.)Like I said. Long story long. We paid that outrageous $1,500 and I'm taking my vehicle to a local mechanic shop. And before they get on here in their defense, I have recorded every conversation I've had with the Service Manager (Jeremy) and General Manager (Kirk) the past two months pertaining to my Jeep. Conversations where they have given me the run around, conversations where they have contradicted each other, and conversations where "they lied to the owner (Trotter) on behalf of the loaner I was driving" before they demanded it back. (I got the loaner approximately THREE months AFTER them having my Jeep.) I've been paying a Jeep note for the last seven months, and now expected to pay for a rental on top of my Jeep note, because even though, and I quote, "it's completely their fault for misdiagnosing everything for months, I can't have the loaner forever." But having my Jeep forever seems to be okay..Here's the humor:Offered me $10,000 for my Jeep without the motor.Offered me $16,000 for my Jeep after I buy the motor.(Remember that $5,400 motor? Yeah. So basically still only $10,000 for my Jeep, right? They ain't slick. Only slick enough to get $1,500 in labor on nothing from me.)Take it for what you will. But I guarantee you, I'll have my Jeep up and running within the next month or two now that I'm getting away from this horrifying place.(Service Manager asked three times who I was taking my Jeep to. I never told him. Said he would have my Jeep put back together for

Promised the world till the paperwork was signed! Said they ordered new floor mats and would replace the broken cb player in the 2017 Jeep Patriot. Never happened! Said roaring noise was tires and I went to a tire shop later to see about replacing those new tires. Turns out the roar was bad wheel bearing ! Watch your back!

I went in to get an inspection done. I had failed the inspection close to the beginning of the list because of a crack in my windshield. Afterwards they continued on with the inspection without notice or asking me if I would’ve liked to continue. I was there for over two hours and paid over 130.00 to only be told I failed and now have to get something fixed and another inspection done. Also, left hood unlatched and gave no pricing beforehand. I will not be returning here and will not be recommending this for future business. A good place or mechanic would’ve noticed right away and notified me before continuing that I would’ve failed. Then ask if I still wanted to do the inspection. I’m literally disgusted. Two things were wasted, my money and my time.

Worst car place ever... sales person will do anything for a sale.. contract was not correct and the sale person text me and said " Not contractually My best suggestion is to sit with mom and see if you guys can split it somehow I see she's making a decent dollar at McDonald's so just give it a little time saving up and you guys should be able to cover it. You can also request a personal loan at the bank or credit union for the amount of the sales tax Paying that back will help raise your credit. What I can do for you is get you another temp tag so that it buys your more time and you can use the vehicle for work and stuff."

Great place. Very friendly and professional people. They were very informative and helpful in all aspects of buying a vehicle. The salesman didn't hound us with calls about vehicles for sale that wasn't for us. He LISTENED to what we wanted or close to it. Also, he didn't try to put us up side down in our financing. Our son has bought several vehicles from them too.

I absolutely love this place! More of a family setting than your "big city" dealerships! Staff is superb from management down! Ask for "Pops" (Kenneth Lowrey) and tell him I sent you! Tell Kirk I said hello! You will not be disappointed!!
