“Know nothing about the Land Company, but the building itself is smashingly beautiful. It was designed by the architect, Albert Farr, in the early 1900s in the Craftsman brown shingle style. Looks like something out of an idyllic English village. My Great Aunt lived across the street in one of the Farr cottages directly on San Francisco Bay, and looking out to the Golden Gate Bridge. At one time, her neighbour was the actress, Vivian Vance, who played "Ethel" on the " I Love Lucy " T.V. series. The yacht harbour is right next door.”
