“I know. I know. A liquor store? BUT you haven't tried their sandwiches. And honestly I don't think I have ever bought liquor there but they seem to have a good selection. But the sandwiches are REALLY the main event. And they have e non-alcoholic drinks like sodas, juices, etc. as well as snacks. And the staff is very nice and helpful. They have booths if you want to just chill and eat right away.”

“I first heard about this shop on an IG video and have wanted to come for a while. I live in Reno, about two hours away, so I am not in the area. I called and spoke to the owners on the phone a few days ago looking for a specific tequila, and they said they had it in stock! I decided to make the drive down there today to pick up some tequila for a tasting I am soon hosting. I would never have guessed that this small unassuming shop would have such an enormous variety of high-quality product. They have one of the best selections of additive-free tequila I have ever seen! I was not prepared for the decisions that had to be made in order to leave with only two bottles. I will most definitely be returning to add to my library. The owners were very friendly and incredibly helpful in answering any questions I had about Tequila or whiskey. I messaged a friend of mine to see if there was any whiskey that he wanted. I picked up two bottles of Eagle Rare 10 year bourbon for him.”
“I came into the store yesterday morning. The young lady in the store greeted me and was very polite. I told her that I was visiting from Texas and had heard they had a great selection of bourbon. I found my way further inside and was greeted by more bourbon and whiskey than I had seen in any stores in Texas. A wide variety of many of the most common bottles, plenty of store picks to choose from, and the top shelf allocated section. The staff was more than happy to help me satisfying my curiosity by finding prices for the hard to find unicorns. Putting away my impulse decision to take out a second mortgage and buy the entire stores selection, I found some store picks. Again, the staff was very helpful in finding another bottle for me in the back. After I started to combine a few bottles and inquire about some other prices, she called the manager. He was nearby and drove in to answer some questions. It was a good picture of what great customer service looks like. He helped me bundle a few bottles together including some store picks and bottles that you don't see on the shelves in Texas. The manager was very friendly and reasonable. This was an absolutely awesome experience. The team has built an impressive collection of bourbon and has something for everyone regardless of budget. Want to spend a couple thousand on a celebratory bottle for an anniversary or want a delicious store pick daily sipper for $50? This is your store. Every trip back from Texas to visit family, I will be stopping back by. Thanks for a great experience.”
“Great advice from the guy working but not too much advice to where it’s annoying, varied selection of beer. Two fridges of craft single can selection in addition the the many fridges of packed beers. Been looking for a local owned bottle shopped since moving to the area, glad we checked it out and will be back.”
“Just took the brewing class on saturday with Aaron and Ray and had a great time! Entire staffwas extremely friendly and helpful and ready and willing to answer any and all questions you have about brewing from beginning to end. We have never brewed before and were Nervous and concerned about the complexity of the chemistry and equipment involved with home brewing, but felt capable and confident to now begin trying to brew at home. We had a great time, Learned a lot and would encourage anyone thinking about starting home brewing to take this class.”
“I've been wanting to try one stop shop for a liquor store. By this I mean, a liquor store with drink bags to go! All you need is the bag and a cup of ice. Yassss! My friend found this liquor store one day and told me we had to go. There is a fridge with a variety of flavors. They even had party pack drinks! (drink bag for multiple people) The staff were friendly. Looking for a trendy liquor store, this is the place for you. They also have the norm for a liquor /convenient store.”

The price was very competitive; the sale price beat every other site I looked at. My order came packaged so there was almost no way the contents would be damaged! “With a doubt the best wood fired pizza in the area. If you have never had a wood fired pizza you have to try it, it's a game changer! Just don't be like the lady that wanted a refund because it was "burned", it's supposed to have charred parts, that's what sets it apart from "oven" pizzas and adds to the flavor. Staff is friendly and helpful, old town Newcastle charm at its best.”

“Bourbon fans rejoice. A liquor store with good to fair prices, employees who seem to know something about their product, and are friendly. Now, from my limited experience, no one will call this place refined, the employees clearly partake in what they sell (a plus for me), but when I am in their for 20 minutes browsing their selection, it is clear that they have many regulars and this is there go to spot. It is easy to see why. They have some hard to find bourbons and reasonable prices, Eagle Rare and Henry McKenna 10 year.”

“Can't say enough about the Newcastle Wine Shoppe and its owner Clay. The shop was recommended to me by a friend who imports wines because I was looking for a hard-to-find variety and he pointed me to Clay in Newcastle. This is a special place. We ended up joining their bi-monthly wine club and have such a great time when we visit. Tonight was no different. So many people stroll in because they too discovered this gem and have become "regulars". Clay recommended a couple of other bottles for us and we're so excited to pair them with upcoming dinners with friends. Truly a great place.”

“This has been my go to place for the 5 years I've lived here. **EDIT: 7 years now ☺️**The previous owners (husband and wife) were always so wonderful and super sweet, I was definitely bummed when they said they were selling. but the new owners (2 brothers) are just as awesome ?**there are 2 more guys that also work here now.**All of them are always super nice, very cool guys to chat with and deal with for sure.The selection of alcohol/beer/wines is crazy! I mean, it's called Mr. Liquor for a reason, right??? ? Nah, but really.. pretty much anything you're looking for, I'm gonna bank on them having it.. but on the off chance they don't, you could ask them to order it and usually they'll get some in for next time ?TL:DRMr. Liquor is THE BEST! Period. Over. Hands down. Can't be beat ?????”
