“Stayed at the Sofitel while a family member was being treated at nearby Cedar-Sinai. It's expensive, we stayed for 2 nights and with the $200 incidental hold they put on the account it's almost $900. The hold will be returned after the room is inspected and verified to be free of damage. They also have valet only parking and charge per night for that. The hotel itself was very nice. Everything was spotless in the room and they left chocolates at the bedside, the room includes a mini-bar but it's insanely expensive ($35 for a bulleit cocktail, $8 for a 8oz red bull, $9 for gummy bears, etc.) and the rainfall showerhead is really nice. The staff was very friendly and even on Monday night when there was a Jazz event downstairs at the venue I didn't really hear it. My only real complaint outside of the mini-bar prices is the comforter on the bed. They didn't provide a sheet just this really heavy comforter. It was stifling, I couldn't sleep with it over me because I started to sweat even when my room was 65 degrees and if I kicked it completely off I wasn't comfortable either. I really wish they had a lighter comforter and sheet. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, it's very pricy but it's in a great area with easy access to shopping, food, the hospital, etc. If we have someone at Cedar again we'll probably stay again, just steer clear of that mini-bar like I did and maybe bring your own sheets.”

“Cameo hotel is a small boutique hotel, which is very charming. They have a nice lobby area with a pool table and library with a few games. The rooms are much smaller than I expected given that it was in Beverly Hills area but the service is great! They have a bunch of old photographs along the hallway, which gives it that vintage Hollywood vibe. I enjoyed staying here and would stay again if I need to!”

“The Hoxton is the epitome of predatory capitalism. I booked a nonrefundable room but got too sick to be able to fly and had to cancel my trip. It's one thing to not give me a refund but they wouldn't even give me a credit for a future stay. They should accommodate when people have to cancel due to unexpected circumstances like extreme illness. I am doing them and the customers a service by not going there and spreading my sickness, but instead I was penalized and lost $500. I talked to their customer service, it was a joke. They were not helpful and just kept repeating that it's nonrefundable - yes I know it's nonrefundable but as a hotel you should accommodate people for these unexpected, severe circumstances. Will never book at this hotel because they steal your money and have no customer service for when things go wrong. Absolutely disgusting.”

“Absolutely beautiful property, I loved the room it was spacious (love love love that), loved the decor. And, the bed was really comfortable. To this hotels management team I'd say that they should look into putting a full length mirror in every room...it's always nice to look yourself over before going out. Also, 2 towels in the bathroom just doesn't cut it for me.”

“Super convenient location, great amenities all around it, very nice room serviceRooms: Needed a little more detailed cleaning, but definitely felt luxuryNearby activities: Staples center next door, decent restaurants all open late, and a Starbucks outside :)”

“Hotel location, service, cleanliness and overall service was excellent - no complaints. Just a few things - you will pay a resort fee of 28 dollars, but they give you a meal credit of 30 dollars per day ( I personally think both should not be there , and the resort fee should only be for folks who want it as only one is given per room). The restaurants in the hotel are outstanding - we used the cafe and the Preston's - great breakfast. Honestly , have breakfast in the hotel, rather than go somewhere else and paying more. The hotel breakfast as freshly made omelets, waffles, smoked salmon, lots of pastries as well as the regular breakfast items on the buffet - and they tasted great!”

“The room is very big. Comfortable bed. The shower had a hole in the front to turn on the shower prior to getting in, but it just allowed for water to spill out when you're showering. Not really smart when they put it in. Valet parking is $65 and doesn't offer self parking so that was annoying.”

“Food & drinks: Went to Cabana for lunch and we were the only ones there. The salad was refreshing and service was friendly. Weather was just right for a spot with some shade. Chic and elegant”

“Can we talk about Luxury for a moment? My fiancé's and I stay was just spectacular from the moment upon arrival. We have stay at numerous Omni's before, but the LA one is by far the most extravagant. Upon arrival the Valet guys were on their A game and extremely friendly. They even gave us pointers and tips on where to dine & drink locally. The font desk staff all deserve awards for their attentiveness, knowledge and efficiency. Staying literally in the heart of downtown LA was everything, I mean everything to us. We were not far from Silverlake, were we spent most of our time. The elegance, the upscale and personalized service @ the Omni is like non other. And please visit the pool, one if not the best Hotel pool ever. It was a spectacular and sexy weekend for us! Luv, Suzy”

“The hotel is cozy, beautiful and well located. The rooms are quite big and the beds comfortable. I wasn’t very pleased with the staff unfortunately. Apart from the guy that checked me in (who was incredibly nice and helpful), they all seem to be in a bad “I don’t want to be here” mood at all times… the maintenance man was super nice and so is house keeping but some of the room service people and almost all of the front desk people were not nice to the point of rude. It’s a shame because apart from that, it was all great but I am not sure if I’ll be returning because of the subpar service.”

“An extremely interesting boutique hotel. The attention to detail and focus on creating a unique and luxurious atmosphere will satisfy travellers looking for an alternative to the cookie cutter modern "luxury" hotel. The staff are extremely attentive and friendly; the courtyard is remarkably relaxing and private; the rooms are a delight for the eyes; the beds are very comfortable; and the location is fantastic. Highly recommended for trips to Hollywood.Rooms: Each room has been lovingly curated as an artistic homage to golden and silver age Hollywood actors.Nearby activities: Just a few minutes' walk from all the attractions of HollywoodSafety: The hotel is on a quiet side street off Hollywood Boulevard. There are some street people around the area, but it is generally safe.Walkability: It is within walking distance of the bars and attractions of Hollywood BoulevardFood & drinks: Cute little bar!Noteworthy details: This hotel is extremely unique. Highly recommended for those of a fanciful mindset”

“Not very good breakfast. The service was good but the water in the bathtub could not be stable it kept changing between hot and cold. There was also a lot of sound when I had to sleep. The staff was kind thoNearby activities: It was close to Hollywood Boulevard”

“Great staff, cool building, but it’s very very noisy. Sound insulation is much needed between, but more importantly the outside. Windows sound like they are open when shut, and there’s a lot of noise out there (it’s LA after all).Overall good value, could be made even better with window fixes”

“Location was great. Literally 20 min drive from almost everywhere in LA, plus so much around the hotel itself. I traveled with 2 teenage girls and myself and felt completely safe. The room was clean and the maid service tidied up our room everyday during our 3 day visit. Staff was very nice, decent grab and go continental style breakfast, nothing major but nice to have to grab on the go. Coffee was good. Free parking (a hard thing to come by in LA). The only reason I left off a star is the room we stayed in could use a little TLC/update/refresh. We were on the first floor so 2nd floor rooms might be better. I did like that our room had a decent amount of space though. I will probably stay here again when I come back to LA.”

“This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. The price is very reasonable especially considering proximity to Santa Monica and LA. There is street noise but it isn't horrible. I was simply amazed at the unique style of an older hotel. Clean, colorful, and cost conscious!”

“The Ritz Carlton in Los Angeles, where I stayed in late April, offered a luxurious urban retreat. Located in the vibrant heart of the city, the hotel provides easy access to LA's renowned attractions steps away from Crypto Arena formerly known as the Staple Center. The rooms offered panoramic views of the cityscape, and the rooftop pool was a serene escape from the urban bustle. The hotel's dining options were a highlight, featuring innovative cuisine and elegant settings.”

“Booked this place with Chase Hotels and it was such a lovely stay! Stayed 1 night for a concert and we enjoyed it so much. The design of the room was unique and beautifully decorated. We loved the wooden floors and the overall aesthetic. Staff was very friendly! The valet was very helpful, and I would recommend using them instead of worrying about self-parking. Wish we had the chance to try out the restaurants because they looked very aesthetic! A few downsides were that the speaker in the room didn't work and that the area around the hotel was a bit loud at night and felt unsafe. Overall, the hotel itself was a very cool, trendy place to stay at and the service was very good. If I had the opportunity to stay here again, I would!”

“The location was great. The room was a nice size for two people. I paid before i arrived. then when i arrived they still asked for a $400 deposit and it will be returned at checkout. Self parking was $49.00 a night plus $4.90 tax.(tax on each night) The signed agreement stated that it was $25 a night. The person said that it needed to be updated (not the custom fault) that’s what i agreed to pay. The room smelled like a dog stayed the night before and no one did a deep cleaning before the next quest. After checkout it was only $180 return to my card. So i paid 220 to park each night. The location was cool.”

“Great small motel in a really convenient location, plenty of food options are available walking distance from this motel, the rooms are quite small but I was staying by myself for a weekend in town so it was just perfect, pretty clean room, comfortable bed, quiet and drama-free even tho this is a budget motel it doesn't feel sketchy, the neighborhood is cool to walk around, and free parking was a great plus.”

“Francis at the front desk provided exceptional service. We arrived very late due to a late flight. We checked in online but requested a room on a higher floor and Francis gladly granted our request. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The water wasn't hot on the first night but was a good temp the next morning. Perfect location for Crypto Arena, LA Live and shopping - all within walking distance. The area is pretty safe, so no major concerns there. There is a $25 per day destination fee, but we were allowed to spend it the hotel. Overall, very pleased with my stay.”

“Nice cosy hotel with great customer service! No deposit required at check in! Rooms smell fresh and are fully equipped with microwave, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, flat screen TV, mirrored closet with flat iron, iron board and safe for locking valuables! The hotel features standard amenities like fitness center, laundry room, outdoor jacuzzi, ice and vending! There is complimentary breakfast served every morning as well! Only downsides here are you can hear other guests slamming their doors as they enter and leave their rooms. Also you can hear the stomping of feet from guests in the rooms above you!”

“This small, boutique hotel deserves every 5 star rating that it has!Check in was fantastic. I got a text the day prior to our arrival confirming details and providing check in instructions. The metro stops just a few blocks away, so it's easy to walk to if you don't want to bring a car (which there is free parking for as well). We booked the chapter 2 room, which I was worried might be kind of small and dark, but the room itself looked even better than the pictures and was very spacious and very light. The bed was very comfortable with a selection of pillows. The in room amenities were great, with a pour over coffee maker and delicious coffee and tea, really nice Le Labo toiletries, plates, utensils, bowls, cups and wine glasses at the mini bar and even a bottle of Dr. Bronner's to wash up with. There was also a record player with records which was fun and this old timey game which was also unique and fun.The location was great with being able to walk to the Covell Bar, tacos, sushi, Brazilian, coffee, pretty much any kind of food that you'd want. It was also a good workout to walk up the hill to the Griffith Observatory. Also amazing, no added resort fee. It's definitely out of the way and non-conspicuous, but if that's what you're looking for, this is an amazing hotel!”
