Tailwaggers & Tailwashers Larchmont Village
147 N Larchmont Blvd, Los AngelesMy love dog is guaranteed to make a stop at tailwaggers first before any errands on our stroll. They are amazing. Her haircuts are better than ever. She brightens seeing those doors. The star treat seat is a must. She needs to be high up getting praise with a daily sample and a loving par from the very sincere staff. Their events are top notch and I would love to learn more and fortunately they offer plenty of events, samples, socials, trainings, dental, and adoptions on the weekend. If you are seeking the perfect new family member visit their lot on Sunday and you will fall in love.

The Urban Pet
4475 Santa Monica Blvd, Los AngelesI love this store!!! I came in today hoping that I could get my dog groomed but, unfortunately the grooms were done for the day. I was bummed, but an employee, Jack explained how the groomers finish at a certain time, and booking an appointment is what I should do instead. Jack showed me Urban Pet has self wash stations! Gave me a quick run down of how it works and let me know of a daily deal on Mondays for the self wash. Jack gave me some fresh towels! After his bath they gave my pup some treats! My boy has chicken allergy, but Jack made sure to ask before giving him any. They also helped me out with some food recommendations for my pup's sister. Jack hooked it up with some samples and a free membership! Definitely will be coming back, people here know their stuff!!!

Healthy Spot
6063 Melrose Ave, Los AngelesEveryone at this Healthy Spot location is amazing, but this review is especially for Esme, who bathes our sweetheart Buddy every 2 weeks. We've never had a long haired dog before, and he needs a lot of TLC! Esme noticed his dry, flaky skin and immediately had a solution - her oils have made a fantastic difference in his skin, especially during these cold winter months! I appreciate all of Esme's advice about how to manage his coat at home, too, between appointments. It's really wonderful to see how much Buddy trusts Esme, as you can see in this video. Esme is the best - and we're so lucky to have her caring for our handsome man. Anyone would be lucky to have such a thoughtful and kind person taking care of their fur baby!!!!

3101 Overland Ave D, Los AngelesPampered Tails always does a great job with my doodle puppy! I take her every 6 weeks. They are on time and send a text 15-20 minutes before she's for me to pick her up. My puppy is 7 months old and I've been taking her to Pampered Tails in Palms/West LA since her first haircut. Wish they gave a cute a little bow or bandana like other salons do, but their work is awesome and reasonably priced so no complaints! Update: Kat messaged me after seeing my review and put a note in to give Phoebe a bow at her next visit. Great customer service!

Dogs for Love Grooming - House Call Dog Grooming Service
1825 N Cahuenga Blvd, Los AngelesI found Darya during the pandemic. At first I was worried it wasn't going to be worth it but I decided to give her a try. I'm so glad I did! I was very pleased with the entire experience. The most amazing cut ever and it is consistent every time! I was most impressed with her skill and knowledge, attention to detail and the safety of my pup. I like that my dog is the only job during my appointment so my pup gets 100% attention until her groom is complete. Having home service grooming makes each groom stress free for my pup, convenient for me and I don't have to worry about my dog being exposed to unnecessary germs and diseases from other dogs. Darya is the dog whisperer of groomers! She's the only one I trust when it come to grooming my dog.

Brentwood Pet Clinic: Carvalho Kimberly DVM
11718 W Olympic Blvd, Los AngelesI've been going to VCA Brentwood Animal Hospital since I moved to LA, 25 years ago. Everything about the operation is first-rate, but the REAL reason I've been so loyal, despite moving further away from the Olympic Blvd. offices, is Dr. Carvalho!! She's a terrific vet - gets to the point, doesn't shy away from bad news, doesn't look for it, either! My Pepper had loved him when she was alive.Basil and Pickles adore him. He is so sweet to them. Pickles is an anxious girl and nervous at first with men. She only screeches with glee for me, grandpa, and her aunt. It was only the second time she met him when she immediately screeched louder than ever. He has a care that is truly wonderful. Basil gets excited for the vet with him and the wonderful staff. My cat, Juniper sees Dr. Kia. She is a spicy little brat. But for Dr. Kia Juniper immediately purrs and relaxes. I wish she would do that when I brush her!!!The staff especially the receptionists are so positive and kind and caring. Riley's Doggie Daycare
1427 Santee St, Los AngelesIt's been a long time coming...we should have written this years ago! We have been clients of Riley's for a few years now and realized as dog owners that it's so important for dog owners to know of the great options for daycare for their pups in LA. We have had our dog Theo for 9 years and we have lived in Seattle, New York, and LA can say without hesitation that this is the best daycare experience we have ever had! The team is just exceptional in terms of their professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for dogs. The vetting and onboarding process that they take on gives us comfort knowing that our pup along with the others are in a safe space. The facilities are spotless and organized in a way that allows for both small and large dogs to have a wonderful experience even during the hot summer months in LA with both air conditioned indoor and clean outdoor spaces. Specifically for our dog Theo requires special attention when it comes to his medication and food management, and we have the utmost trust in the team as they have taken care of him as if he were their own. Even when we go away on long trips, he always comes home extremely happy after boarding. We can always tell that he's had a great time with his friends at Riley's. We have moved further away from Riley's but will not compromise continue to bring him here. We are so happy and thankful for the entire team. We couldn't imagine our lives (and Theo's) without the Riley's team in it!

I called Urban Dog and explained my dog's demeanor and play style and they were confident they could meet Dobby where she's at. Kim, who is the oh-so-knowledgeable owner/dog trainer ran the temperament test which I was able to watch on the webcam. She went slow and took things at Dobby's pace. Over the past few visits, my girl has become more and more confident. She runs circles around those dogs for hours!! The staff is always very attentive and kind. Couldn't recommend this place more!

Traci and her team know all of the dogs, their personalities , quirks and what makes them happy. My dogs can't wait to go there and their sleepovers are the best. Dogdrop
905 E 2nd St #110, Los AngelesApril 2023 - UpdateSomeone commented on not getting daily report cards or photos. Somewhat true, but not entirely relevant to the quality of service. I couldn’t say much as it wasn’t until more recently that I was able to use the services here. With that said I do get photos, unexpected times as well, but not everyday, and that is perfectly fine. I don’t need to have a daily photo, and would rather know that the dogs are getting attention rather than having someone just taking photos and not actually interacting with them.Additionally I’m not even in a position to be checking my phone in some instances. I have received a weekly report card. I have yet to log in online and see what is there. It’s very clear that there are efforts made for everyone to get to know the dogs as they all are recognized from a distance when they are walking in, and the drop off as well as pickup is quick.——————Great service, you can tell they care a lot about the dogs as well as the well-being of the employees working there. Annoying that it isn’t open on Sunday, but also does allow everyone working there a day free. Loss of star is because it is extraordinarily difficult to contact this place. I absolutely cannot stand business that avoid talking to their customers and force them through some chat or text. A bit unprofessionally, but more so highly inefficient.______To the response: this does make sense given the noise of the dogs in the background. Thank you for clarifying. I guess the issue is that typically the time I have my phone I am unable to text, and it also feels like a wall to communications. Maybe even a have a way to leave a question that is transcribed to your team and they send a text response. That is fine. Other times it’s a matter of spending 10 minutes in back and forth text in what could be 2 minutes call. Sunday thing is understandable, as are shorter weekend hours. Annoying, but I’m all for balanced work schedules.

Pet Pride Cat Shelter
3350 S Robertson Blvd, Los AngelesA lot of 1 star reviews act angry because you have to pay a fee during in-takes. They're a private rescue who can't cover all the vet or health related costs themselves. If you think up to $2,500 is expensive, imagine taking in several cats. Most other rescues who cover that cost are full. I have seen several high quality rescues either charge roughly this amount for take-ins. Those will do a 2 week quarantine for vet visits before intriducing to the whole cat group. I implore readers to do their research before hunting for a pet or for a rescue to drop off a stray.

K911 ResQ
8726 S Sepulveda Blvd, Los AngelesThis rescue does nothing but good in this world! The rescue injured doggies and the pay for surgeries and treatments where others would have walked away. I can't thank the people of K911 ResQ enough for what they do. They rescued Vito, a paralyzed pup, got him physical therapy and now he's been able to move a little more than he used to. God bless you!

Tails Of The City Animal Rescue
8161 Beverly Blvd, Los AngelesLoved Maryann and Christine (my adopted baby's foster mom). They were so careful, making 2 trips to our home, to make sure the fit was right before they let us adopt our darling boy, Bug.I love how they LOVE their rescues! Maryanne was very professional and had all the paperwork and medical records filled out with everything we needed. We still keep in touch sending videos and pictures. So happy to have found Tails of the City.

Crumbs & Whiskers | Kitten & Cat Cafe
7924 Melrose Ave, Los AngelesI went there today with my boyfriend. I bought us tickets for his birthday. We had the absolute best time snuggling with all the very sweet and social cats and kittens that are all up for adoption. If you are a cat person who wants to support a local business who does a great job in helping out our feline friends, this is place to visit. The lounge is bright and cozy with lots of places to lay around and snuggle. There are lots of toys to pick up to play with the cats as well. The coffee is a bit over priced but it is delicious and I know the money goes to a very good cause. Plus everyone who works there is very nice. Worth every penny. Go and have the best time. I promise that you will not want to leave once you have a cuddly soft cat in your lap.

Perfect Pet Rescue
10737 Venice Blvd., Los AngelesI am very impressed with this rescue. My darling Miso came home with his meds and directions on when to give them, a harness and leash, and other things he needs. He's a fabulous dog and I'm so happy I went to Perfect Pet Rescue as I couldn't ask for a better dog and a better situation. Thank you so much Rene who assisted Miso, myself, and my friend Eric: you are terrific. The dogs and the rescue are lucky to have you. I couldn't be more pleased with how everything went and the results. Miso is my love.

Santé D'Or
3165 Los Feliz Blvd, Los AngelesI volunteer here, and I can say that this shelter truly does outstanding work. The staff is highly attentive to each cat's individual temperament and medical needs, both in the shelter and foster. The space and crates are frequently cleaned, and the cats are all doted on. At the point I am ready to adopt, I will be going with Santé D'Or.
