Disgraceful facility. Smells, is a scam and never again will I step foot in here. Pretty sure I caught some disgusting germs, due to lack of hygiene. Horrible, crowded, people breathing down your neck, no process whatsoever and a complete rip off.

Pros: lots of courts, can rent out multiple courts by the hour Cons: located inside a warehouse with no AC, tons of people who clearly have never heard of deodorant. These are also the same people who wait around and steal your courts when you step off just to rehydrate, despite telling them multiple times that you've reserved the court.

The guy at the reception was rude and unprofessionalism. Watch out for additional hidden fees/charges. We reserved a spot for 1 hour. My kids wanted to watch, but the rude receptionist told us that spectators are unwelcome and have to charge $10 per person additional. This is not how you do business--senseless and brainless staff. Rental space for 1 hour should have no limitation regardless of the player size. The more players we have, the lesser time each player plays. Why there is a charge of headcount on top of reserving a spot? We are not taking additional time or space.

Please DO NOT come on a hot day!!I had the unfortunate experience of visiting on an unbearably hot day, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. As soon as I stepped inside, I could feel the suffocating heat and realized that there was no air conditioning or proper ventilation to provide relief. It was like walking into a sweltering oven, not an ideal environment for any physical activity, let alone playing badminton. The guy at the reception was the epitome of rudeness and unprofessionalism. When I politely suggested that they should consider investing in air conditioning or at least improve the ventilation, I was met with a dismissive attitude. Instead of acknowledging the issue, he outfight said out loud to another staff that my advice was of no help and made me feel belittled and unwelcome.I cannot stress enough how unacceptable this experience was. Playing badminton or any sport in such extreme conditions can be dangerous for one's health and performance. I felt like I was being subjected to torture, not a recreational activity that I was paying for. It's disheartening to see a facility that shows such blatant disregard for the comfort and safety of its patrons. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It's astonishing that they continue to operate without addressing these basic and essential issues.

The person in the front desk at the Menlo location this Sunday was really great! We didn't reserve a court and he found an empty court for us. He also explained everything clearly to us and had a great attitude.

Very good court. Reservation is kinda wack make sure you reserve like a week before, it fills up quickly. It's also kinda musty but you get used to it.

Nice, clean and bright place to play badminton! They sell racquets, birdies, shoes, etc. I bought my new HL 9 Dragon racquet and a dozen birdies here after $25 demo fee. Tons of parking, but it was a little hard to find. You need to make a left once you hit the Ice Rink. Navigation led me to the wrong area of the huge parking lot. I look forward to playing here again! :0)

Synergy is definitely by far, one of the best badminton gym in the Bay Area. This location has 27 courts total with a mixed of court reservation system and challenge night on Monday. This place is spacious, very clean without any funky stereotypical smell like other badminton gyms. The courts have an extra layer of plastic underneath for shock obsorption, which was very helpful for the folks with weaken knees like myself... i call it aging! The staffs are friendly and helpful. This location is always packed, so I'd recommend to book for courts at least one week in advance. Overall, the gym is great! I'm willing to travel further just to play at this gym, while other gyms are much closer to my house. Happy workout! Cheers!

Easy online reservation system, well organized, clean facility. We were able to reserve two courts for the six of us a day prior at $40/court per hour. If you have more than 4 people per court, it's an additional $10/pp. An hour was more than enough for me! My body is screaming at me a day later. Rental racquets also available starting at $5.

My son has been going to this place for Badmin classes for a year already. We usually drop him off and then pick him up at the entrance before and after each class. Then today, my wife and I arrived early to pick him up and wanted to check out his progress. The moment we sat quietly at a side trying to see his progress a Synergy staff asked us to leave as parents were not allowed for reason that they didn't want parents coaching. Well, we certainly were not or did not intend to coaching. It is strange (and to me it is not reasonable) that I as a paying parent would not be allowed to check out his progress and watch even briefly. I respect their rules of allowing third party coaching, but I hope they would listen and would consider allowing parents to watch quietly.

Best court in Bay Area, considering availability and price, though always smell bad when walk in, this has been our go to for a couple months already

Been a few years since badminton, we went for an early session (11am-noon) to take advantage of the weekday early bird discount. $25/hr court rental up to 4 peeps is a great deal. On line reservation was relatively easy even for a first time visitor. I was lost even with the GPS, all the warehouses looked the same. There was only a small sign in front of the small entrance. Just look for the ice skating ring and it will be to its left. The club was clean and vast, with high ceilings and more than 20 courts. Typical of most badminton clubs it's converted from an old warehouse. The amenities were few, no air circulations, no AC. It happened to be a 95 degree day and we were guzzling bottles of Kirkland like it was holy water. I prob burned more calories in 1 hr here than 2 hr of swimming.

Bought a racket from badmintondirect. They had it for a great price and very prompt in responding to your requests. Shipping is free and they did priority mail which came in 2 days. Overall great experience with them. Will be buying more stuff from them in the future.

Definite recommend for those who wants to play badminton is a spacious setting to come to the synergy in Fremont! The courts are a little bit bigger than other places and it's really clean. Of course you can smell the sweat from other players on court but it's not as strong as other places. You can also book your court online ahead of time. Book a court includes for 4 players is around $80 for 2 hours. So to break it down it is about $20/person. It is a deal. I come and play every weekend and it is the best workout you can e joy with some friends.

This review is for the customer service at the Fremont location. I emailed them requesting for a trial class for my son. Despite numerous emails and phone calls, I still haven't heard back from Synergy. They should seriously work on promptly replying back and addressing these issues.
