Dropped in today to look at my safety deposit box. Wells Fargo has decided they will collect private information from their clients before they will let me see my own box. Whereas I don't mind showing my ID there is no reason for them to collect my license number .dob, address, and expiration date. The manager, Fabiola Garcia, was not very helpful. Did not even have a business card. Gave me the wrong number of the Wells Fargo manager, probably on purpose. I then spent 5 minutes on hold waiting for someone who could not find the manager Vu Li's number. Ridiculous. Poor customer service!!! Wells Fargo is probably collecting unnecessary information to open up new fictitious accounts. I've had my box here for over 25 years and they never needed that info. My other banks don't collect this info. Watch out! They cannot be trusted.

I am so glad I went out of my way to come to this exceptionally well-rated branch. Haris, the new branch manager, went out of *his* way to fix a WF credit card issue that has plagued our nonprofit for a year. Wish I had come in sooner!

I may have concurred with the 2 star rating across the board however I think Wells Fargo has accomplished a lovely thing. By chance and never expecting to become a client, I visited the Santa Cruz Ave, Menlo Park branch to take care of some Wells Fargo specific banking needs. Thankfully, I had someone who was an account holder but much to my surprise, the customer service was absolutely amazing. Having been a 20 yr client of "conservative" Union Bank, what a refreshing ease of transaction for a change! Fast forward a few months, had the same " in house, Wells Fargo need" Called blindly on New Years Eve! The branch manager picked up, within 1 hr, was at the branch, an assigned account manager addressing my needs and out the door, SUPER thrilled to be a new client and my banking needs addressed to a tee. Based on my previous interactions and a recent account opening at another bank up the street (acronym: BA") I can truly say, BRAVO. The fact that this branch doesn't treat clients like internet hackers, money launderers or down enemy #1 is truly an appreciated and a welcomed look. Thank you Wells Fargo, Santa Cruz Ave, Menlo Park Branch. (Resident in the area since 1980.)

Always incredibly incompetent. Quite frankly, have never had a worse banking experience than at Wells Fargo. If you have a question, you get typically directed to a "banker". Those "bankers" typically don't know how to answer the question and need to call some other Wells Fargo folks somewhere else. And those folks typically can't help, either. We have gotten WF mortgages, but not through WF. When we went to our branch they couldn't make it happen. When we went through a mortgage broker, no problem at all. And so on, and so on...

I know they are busy, but I waited in line just to order some checks and they told me that I would have to sit down with a banker to do that and the bankers we're all "busy" right now. I've always ordered my checks from tellers at other locations. Terrible customer service. Definitely not coming back to this branch.

I have been to numerous Wells Fargo locations around the county and have had nothing but good experiences until now. I waited in line nearly 20 minutes to see a clerk only for them to tell me they couldn't help me with a basic transaction and I would have to sign in and wait for a banker. Now another 20 mins waiting for a banker even though several aren't with clients right now. This is unacceptable for a simple transaction that shouldn't take more than a minute or two.

Had a terrible experience at this bank. While big banks are obviously bureaucratically ineffective and bordering on inhumane with their greed and oppression of low income folks, this branch takes it to another level. Simple task of canceling a check. It happens. But to cancel a check this bank took forever. The banker, Nan, who helped us was on the phone with customer service. If that's the case then I would just get on the phone myself. After waiting so long for her to finish her phone call, my parking ended up expiring. I still needed my cashiers check and although I had already waited in the absurdly long teller line, Nan asked me to wait their again. So after waiting 30 mins for the teller line, another absurd amount of time for Nan to finish her phone call (that again easily I could have done), Nan expected me to wait another minimum 40 mins? I informed her that my parking expired but she didn't care. My favorite part was that I overheard her saying that we are "stupid, stupid, stupid" to another employee. Very mature. I used to speak like that when I was in kindergarten but to hear it out of a bank employee is comical but absolutely disturbing. No idea how this bank is still open. Would love to see it close or completely new management to take over.

This bank thinks it is funny to speak ebonics to African-American customers who do not speak ebonics. They think it is cute for a customer to be called out over the phone in a street like matter for not knowing where I bank was located A few weeks later they thought it is equally amusing to be told to have a seat to see a banker only to have the bank close before anyone came to check on me. They won't think it is funny after I play my wild card and report them to the proper authorities. This bank is comprised mainly of people of color who I am sorry to say are behaving very ghetto.

The staff here are a nice team super friendly but they have ZERO sense of urgency. You can stand there for nearly 30 minutes and they won't hustle or open a register. The one decent employee they had recently transferred which is a crying shame honestly. The guy at the end couldn't be physically slower if he tried and overall it pains me to have to come in here. There is always a plethora of employees all on their phones walking around but never anyone working on the register. There just doesn't appear to be a manager present ever.

This is by far the worst Wells Fargo bank I've ever been to. I've walked into this branch three times, only to walk out due to impatience and frustration at their appalling lack of customer served and professionalism. The only professional thing about the bankers here is the way that they dress professionally, and even that is a mandatory, minimal requirement. What's even funnier is that the one who was the least professionally dressed was the one who had the most manners to greet me in the lobby. Though... she kind of killed my buzz with already shutting me down by telling me an unwanted answer to my question regarding customer service and surcharges on my account. Whoever is the owner and manager of this branch needs to seriously retrain and revamp their customer service. I opened this bank location on Yelp and saw mostly bad reviews, and rightfully so! Customer satisfaction and service should be the number one priority, otherwise...close shop. You'll make Wells Fargo lose more customers to other banks. To be specific and contrite, working here as a banker doesn't mean staring at your screen and ignoring your peripherals when there are customers at a non/busy time in the lobby. It's pitiful. For being located in Menlo Park and affluent neighborhood, this location offers bottom-of-the-barrel service. I'll stay with Willow Glen and the Valley Fair Branch. I am very turned off and highly unsatisfied with this branch. Shame on you!

I had to close my safebox here... Joud the banker is super nice and friendly, she helped me so fast and everything going so smooth. I didn't care if I had to wait for her for 15-20min because I know what kind of service I would get. They are kind of short staffed, at the time I only see one teller , but she was very fast with the transaction, and tried her best so customer didn't have to wait so long. I can see she tried her best, Michelle is so smiley and helpful!

This bank is complete unprofessional and un organized. This particular branch will have 10-15 customers in line waiting while the branch managers and other bankers are just on their phone. Completely unprofessional. Jocelyn "the Branch Manager" is 100% rude and has no courtesy for customers. She was so rude and short with me, her eyes seemed like she was high on drugs. Completely unprofessional for a "so called branch manager." If I were you, I would stay away from this branch!!!!

We have been customers of Wells Faro since 1973 yet every time I walk into the bank I am treated by strangers and treated as a stranger. Does anyone know a senior level Wells Fargo person to whom I can recount my experiences? Can anyone recommend a more customer focussed Menlo Park bank?
