“I mainly order my groceries online at Pavilions, pull into the parking lot and an employee will deliver them to my car. More often than not, it's an employee by the name of Eric who brings out the groceries. I just want to say that Eric has always been kind and helpful and even remembers that I prefer paper bags to plastic bags for my order. He is friendly and Pavillions is lucky to have such a great guy working for them. Thank you Eric!”

“Charming and well equipped boutique, small town, gourmet grocery, prepared foods, coffee bar, pastry, deli and bakery source with adjacent outdoor eating patio complete with fountain. Easy parking and access from main roads. Located in central strip mall with more boutique retail for after meal stroll. We made time for sandwiches (fabulous but spendy) but lamented not being able to bring more prepared goods with us on the long drive home. (Everything looked wonderful and locals swarmed.) Recommend a pop-in.”

“So happy that this is here! My kid has moved to Santa Barbara so I now visit the area as often as I can. Instead of taking a cooler from home ...I stop in here to stock my hotel room with snacks and beverages. This store is HUGE!!! Tons of parking. Staff is super friendly and helpful (like any Trader Joes). Store is spotless and clean (like any Trader Joes) this is my "go to" TJ's in Santa Barbara (there is another one that is closer to our usual hotel but it's tiny and the parking is a bit difficult.”

“This is probably my favorite place to get ice cream in Santa Barbara, they have handmade bars for a very reasonable price, but I prefer to get it scooped into a cup, which is a little bit more, but soooo worth it.”

“Small and as such it reflects the intimacy of a cozy community commensurate with inventory choices for a sophisticated culinary public. Delectable fresh, individually sized meats, fish. Fresh produce. Well chosen items. It feels like „my store“.”

“A good mix of local and regional, including Mexico, nuts, veggies including Sunchokes for example, and fun cheeses along with related baked veggie products. All in a former gas station where the south-facing outer stall has table seating to chill out or picnic alongside a flower-shop's cart while augmenting your nearby restaurant/cafe takeouts.”

“New favorite spot for me and the bf!!! While it's off a busy intersection, the interior & exterior is decorated so beautifully you wouldn't ever notice where you are. Serene & peaceful inside & out. Water feature and fairy-like setting on the patio. & the best part: the service! So friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. Loved every recommendation so far. Will keep coming back”

“Santa Barbara's best south asian grocery store. The friendly family who owns the store stocks everything you need to make your favorite Indian recipe. If you can't find it here, they'll order it for you. Must see this small long-time neighborhood store.”

“Great little European market featuring some fresh produce, fresh meat, and a small but eclectic selection of Eastern European packaged goods, spices, coffees, teas, juices, etc. as well as liquors and some fresh-baked local examples of Eastern European breads. Great place to browse in general or search for something specific you're missing or want to try.”

“The PL Santa Rosa Chicken sandwich and the Smoked Salmon Bagel were fantastic. We got them to-go and ate them at a table in the wonderful park across the parking lot.”

“I feel like I’m not part of the cool crowd at this store. The kimbop (are whatever it is) is always out. I want some. Also, everyone is a self proclaimed vegan zen master of peace until they get to the parking lot then it’s gloves off, fight for your life, try not to get run over. Yesterday, I was in the store and it was super busy and they had some kid dusting the lights … dust falling down on everyone and into the air - as a person with allergies and lung issues I was disgruntled hence this review. I am not a vegan zen master and enjoy letting it out once in a while. Perhaps, limit the kimbop to one a person or here is an idea, order more and tell corporate to start having the kids in Thailand produce more, since that is where most of your food comes from these days. Why do I get so judged when I forget my bag, but nobody stops to read the labels on their food from TJ’s. TJs food notoriously travels many miles and often many continents. Like a brown paper bag is going to do more harm then the bunker fuel used to ship the cheap food over. Or the major amount of plastic used in packaging. Get a grip. But props to Charles Shaw. Ok, I’m headed that way now, the apple cinnamon Mochi better not be out too. And why does this store not carry more of the gluten free muffins my sister gets in San Diego? Are we not as good as them? And don’t worry I’m bringing my bag.”

“Fathi is awesome. Genuinely, it's been a pleasure to have met and built a relationship with him. Great conversations and stories can be had there, along with a wide variety of your "grab and go" convenience needs on the Westside of Santa Barbara. The early bird DOES NOT catch the written here though!”

“The one star reviews are absolutely hilarious to me. Everyone that works at this store is great, and they do their job exceptionally well! No prices on the products, but that doesn't matter seeing as you're at a super small CONVENIENT corner store rather than your local Supermarket. I've seen some comments about people buying things close to the expiration date and all I have to say is read the expiration like the rest of us do before grabbing the item! Everything here is DECENTLY priced and CONVENIENT And especially for being RIGHT OFF THE FREEWAY. Hopefully this sways you from the random terrible comments!”

“The owners are there almost every day making delicious sandwiches. Great local Santa Barbara sandwich place if you want some good food. Been getting sandwiches here for years and they've always been kind. They also have great cannoli shells.”

“love this little market, the cashiers are always kind and helpful and there’s a great selection of stuff for it being so small. they seemingly have anything you need in a pinch: quick snacks, ice cream, lots of drinks, peanut butter, cereal, canned goods, even paper towels and toilet paper!”

“One of the first markets i went to in santa barbara! Conveniently located close to the train station if your traveling. My favorite items are the meats and tamales in the hot case near the deli. Something about the seasoning. Also the the selection and service thank you!”

“I love this corner store! Amazing selection of staples and more high-end or boutique ingredients, excellent staff, and great space to spend a long lunch break. i love that they work with local businesses and makers, and have a rotating schedule of sandwiches and breads from different bakeries in town.”

“Everything we got here was delicious--the blackberries were perfectly ripe, and the sourdough bread, cinnamon roll, and muffin were soooo good. I'm so happy we stopped here!”

“The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is that I’m not usually impressed with the produce. It’s not bad or anything, it just doesn’t seem as fresh as I prefer my produce to be. It can be hard to preplan your trip because they don’t carry certain items consistently. That’s just the nature of the store and probably why it’s so much cheaper than the other grocery stores! However, I always go when I have extra time to browse because I love finding new items that you’d not really think about. They always have outstanding deals on seasonal items which is my favorite part! I buy my hair products here because I need high end products that are usually way to expensive for me to buy and extremely frustrating. They have a very large selection of really good quality hair products that keeps me happy every trip I make to this store! The employees are unusually friendly which I find is so rare now days! Please please keep the nice employees around! I can’t take many more rude encounters I endure at the other stores I’m forced to visit. Parking is plentiful, hours of operation are good (except if you say you close at 10 I expect to be let in even at 9:55 to grab something I may really need. It’s happened several times I show up with 15 - 20 minutes before 10 and the door is locked. Close when you want just stay true to your posted hours so I don’t waste my time. Very much appreciated!). Definitely worth coming to shop at this store!!”

“I have been walking here from my house in the neighborhood since I could walk; Westside Market has been a staple of the westside for decades. IMPORTANT INFO: THIS is THE only place to buy lighter fluid/butane in I think all of Santa Barbara after 9pm (til midnight!)PS fun fact: Elias used to own this market; he's the best! Now he owns the smoke shop on De La Vina and Mission called Paradise Smoke Shop; pop on over there for all your tobacco and head change needs ? He and his son run an awesome shop! Cheers!”

“Stopped here for a quick bite before we continued on the way to cemetery The breakfast croissant for me, and fried breakfast sandwich, for my husband, were good. First time here. We've been to Harry's next door and thought we were going to eat there but found out Harry's didn't open until 11am. We were an hour too early. But decided to go into Renaud's. We will be back.”
