Since everyone can see the same item the price is the one charged by the Manager was 39.99 final price 43.49. Later in the afternoon the same item 24.99.final price 27.18. I will go and complain to the same manager the charges more so may or may not punish someone that do the right job.My thought I am black and my husband is white . The price is right not matter the color of your skin.

Beware deceptive marketing!!! Unethical company, don’t rent from Powder House Stateline without reading this review.Powder House Stateline will entice customers with a sign that says $30 rentals. Their corporate website clearly says “All Packages include skis, poles & boots” which is 100% untrue.After renting a child ski package for 3 days the cost listed on the company website calculates the cost at $93.I also rented a helmet which cost $39 for three days, so expected to pay more then $93 but the total charge was $165.86!!! Wow!!After having a discussion with the lady who supposedly said she was the manager, I was told that she does not control the website and I owe what I owe. Sorry, dude.She was also trying to justify the higher price as she said that they only rent the “performance ski package” BUT my receipt shows “child ski package”.Unethical, dishonest, and with a management team that has zero customer service skills. Not a place I would recommend.

I have lived in South Lake Tahoe for well over 20 years and when people come in to rent skis, I always help them. We always go to powder house. The staff is incredibly friendly with a genuine desire to help out. Additionally, the prices are very fair.

I rented skis here last weekend. I paid for them online the night before to get the 10% discount. The next morning I got fitted and picked up my skis according to my reservation, but they asked me for my credit card. I told them I already paid online, but they said they needed my card anyway, so I let them swipe it. They ended up charging me twice for the same pair of skis. I've emailed them a couple times and called them dozens of times but no one responds to my emails or answers the phone (The ppl at this actual store do answer the phone but can't help. They say to call the main store / corporate, but no one answers those phones). the skis were fine but the double charge and the complete lack of customer service in fixing the issue is a problem for me.

At first, when my self, wife and two boys went in to rent ski equipment and clothing the employees were very helpful. So off to the slopes they go. After our day on the slopes, everything went well. We had a blast. After lugging what seemed to be a ton of equipment including clothing. I went to the car to get more equipment because it took 2 trips. Upon my arrival, my wife was standing there with a shocked look on her. face. When I asked what was wrong in front of a cashier named Heather. My wife started telling me that Heather was extremely rude and was blaming my wife of not returning an item. It was a helmet. Later I found out that it was returned Heather did not bother talking to her co-worker before blaming my wife. During that process, my wife lightly taped a shoulder to help direct a lost customer to the right window to drop off his items. Heather then proceeds to tell me that my wife "Hit" him. That's when I lost it. I told her that I never experienced anything like this before. No customer service whatsoever. IF YOU TRULY WANT TO HAVE A SMOOTHE VACATION WITHOUT STRESS PLEASE AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT! There are tons of rental companies to choose from.

I am surprised by the bad reviews, as we had a great experience this morning. The reviews almost deterred us but we had already reserved equipment online. I'm not sure that an online reservation is necessary as you still have to complete paperwork when you get there, but everyone was super friendly. They took time to ask questions and fit our gear properly. We would go back anytime we're here.
