This is my first apartment I’ve ever lived in and so far it has been good. The move in process was relatively easy, although there was a communication error with the first months rent and deposit; however this issue was corrected. Here are the pros and cons so far:Pros:1. Apartments are nice, a little dated but clean. They have been renovated and have nice carpet, hardwood, and new blinds in all the rooms. Very happy there is no issue with bugs or vermin!2. Very quiet community: residents are nice and keep to themselves. There are no parties or issues with noise (aside from normal apartment noises). Even on a Friday or Saturday night it’s so quiet, which is great! Mainly couples and professionals.3. Staff is friendly and always available when issues arise (so far).4. Parking is never a problem.Cons:1. The door to my patio is off its hinges a bit so when the wind blows from the NW (which it always does) cold air leaks into the apartment.Overall I like it here and would recommend living here.

I was looking to move in the tehachapi area and I called around and the only apartment that answered was sierra ridge. Barbara was very informative and helpful when asking about the apartment. She was available to view the apartment and was very clear on what the apartment came with and what was needed to apply. The application process was very easy. The apartments are very clean and the people are very nice. The apartment was cleaned before move in and the maintenance man is on top of any requests for repairs. Love Barbara she's very friendly and helpful to any questions I have. I chose sierra ridge for the clean apartments and the customer service that comes with it.

Do this Google Search. "Furnished apartments Tehachapi CA". When I did this in Oklahoma for my move to work at Edwards AFB, here are the results. 1. Sierra Vista Apartments. 2. Sierra Ridge Apartments. 3. Orchard Apartments. 4. Meadows. Those are the top 4 Apartments complexs.Sierra Ridge was my second choice. I sent 4 emails to Orchard Apartments. Not a single response. My second choice was Sierra Ridge Apartments. My email was the following. "I am looking for a 1BR furnished apartment, arriving in mid December."Sierra Ridge responded to my email and the response was, we do not have any 1 bedroom apartments available in December but we have a 2 bedroom that is becoming available in late December. With that exchange. What would you conclude? Sierra Ridge who appears in the "Furnished Apartment Google search", and responses with we don't have a 1 bedroom but will have a 2 bedroom in late December." Would you conclude that Sierra Ridge has furnished apartments? I would. I did.I arrived and had several phone calls with Barbara, emails with Barbara, signed required documents, including the 79 page lease agreement, signing into a 1 year lease. Paid $2145. Handed the keys and for the first time, went to the apartment, opened the door to see a completely empty apartment.I returned to the Office and said to Barbara, this is not a furnished apartment. She said, we don't have furnished apartments. She said, "you didn't talk to me."Mad? Yes. Screwed? Absolutely. I came to California with my clothes, some electronics and other items, all packed into a BMW. I had no furniture, nothing to support moving into a Unfurnished Apartment. I have had to buy a bed, sheets, a couch to sit on, a dresser for clothes, a TV and so on. I have spent over $2200, to setup the minimum needed to live here.Questions I would like an answer for.Why does Sierra Ridge appear in a search for Furnished Apartments?Who was the individual who did not pay attention to my request for a 1 Bedroom Furnished apartment?Tom Feilner

Would highly recommend this place. The apartments are well taken care of and well managed by Barbara the manager and the maintenance man Mark. Very quiet, safe, Friendly place. No issues at all. The application process was simple and basic as with everywhere else. What I really liked was the owner puts the money back into the property. While living there we had gotten new windows, new roof. Once again Would highly recommend!

I cannon recommend this place unless you are decided and determined to have an apartment there and there only. Their application process demands, in addition to the processing fee, a $200 hold deposit in order to be submitted. When your screening is complete, they will send you an approval letter and immediately demand the whole of rent be paid before any lease agreement has been signed. If you demur, they will threaten to bill for the full amount and mess with your credit score.

I couldn't say more wonderful things about Sierra Ridge. We've felt very safe and comfortable, and anytime we needed anything, our apartment manager got right on it. Our neighbors are kind and the complex is quiet and clean. This being our first home was a wonderful experience, I'm going to miss it when we leave!

I’ve lived here for about 9 months now. The property manager, Barbara, is so kind and always helpful. Mark the maintenance guy always came out ASAP. The only issue my unit had was a non-functioning AC, and Barbara got it fixed as soon as possible. The entire complex just got new roofs and every unit got all their windows replaced! All the upgrades have been really nice. I enjoy living here and I recommend it!

I love living here. Barbara, the property manager is just the sweetest and is so helpful! I’ve had no issues and the move in was smooth. She is very on top of things and the application and approval process was quick and easy. The location is ideal and you feel like you live in a community. The pool is wonderful and I enjoy getting to do laundry 24 hours so it fits my schedule and you can pay by phone/app. Everything is well maintained and they are pet friendly. There is even doggy bags! Landscaping is done weekly. It’s a quiet and peaceful place to live.

Nice place. I like the quiet area and updated appliances. Pool is nice too. The new property manager is really nice, even the maintenance guy is cool too. There are other costs involved, as expected, but I feel like it's worth it. I think it's cool that I can pay for the laundry with my phone.

Lived here after new ownership (Jan,2020) and I have to say the managment has been very friendly, helpful, and clear about expectactions and costs living here. There website is a little funky (and errors out, but not more than many other places I have been at). There are some fees people mention here, but they talk about them upfront if you talk to them at all and is talked about in the process, just after you submit your request to be approved via background check. They charge reasonable rates for the area and have water, garbage, and sewer as something they manage but you pay for on top of rent (which is pretty normal for apartments). Great bonus of all the appliances are here and the apartments have great working A/C & Heat. They have been renovating the apartments since taking over (doing so between tenants) and while the old apts. are ancient (and a bit over priced for style and etc.) the new renovated ones are great to live in. Maintenance guy is wonderful and quick to fix things. Overall would recommend living here, and I know I am not the only one, as they rent apartments out in a matter of hours after posting and most people I talk to like living here and find it much better than many other places they find in the area. Wish they had a hot tub though.

The staff is very kind and responsive. The apartments are clean and well-maintained. Be prepared to budget a little more for rent compared to other complexes in the area, but if you're willing to spend it you won't be disappointed with the quality of life here. Definitely a great place to live in Tehachapi.

I have read some of the reviews for Sierra Ridge apartments. Sorry you had issues. But for me I love this place. I had seen there ad on craigslist. The manager very help full. I put down my $100.00 for the apartment so they could hold it and did the application all on line. Which I like a lot. Was approved within a week.I was showing the apartment on the 3rd and fell in love with it. It was clean new Appalachians. Everything worked. I have have lived in a lot of apartments and by far is very nice and the grounds are kept up to. So far am very happy here. The price is a little high for the area. But you get what you pay for. The neighbors are nice and they even have area to walk your dog which is nice most apartments dont allow animals. Our new manger Barbra is the sweetest manger . She get things done on time and she listens and takes action. Hope she stays for awhile. So if you have not meet her stop by the office and say hi. The maintenance is very good as well takes cares of any problems that need to be done. We went on vacation and he even put our packages in the apartment for us. Most complexes would not do that. So am very pleased with Sierra Ridge apartments and they do deserve five stars.
