“Just WOW - I really have no other word to describe what an incredible visit we had to Vino Godfather Winery on Mare Island in Vallejo. It should be noted that this place is historic, Mare Island was the first US Naval Base on the West Coast, established in 1854. My parents were stationed here in 1969 and I was born in a nearby hospital. For my 55th birthday I went back to visit and while looking around at the Colonial Style homes (base housing) from the 1900's, we happened upon Vino Godfather's Tasing Room. The tasting room is in one of the original officers mansions that has been so well taken care of, it's absolutely stunning. Vino Godfather has taken over the home and set up a gorgeous tasting room while also preserving the delicate interior and integrity of the original structure. Even if you aren't going for the wine, you must go for the history! Since we were there we decided to do a tasting and we were treated to such a special visit by Bennie "Joey." This man is a powerhouse and he managed to make us feel important by sharing his knowledge of the home and the wines so willingly, while also tending to all of the other guests in the home. We tasted all of the wines and ended up leaving with a bottle of 2021 Rose Demi Sparkling Wine and a bottle of 2018 Prohibition Tempranillo. We wanted to buy so much more but since we were visiting from out of state we decided to just stick with what we could drink before we left. If you're even thinking about making a visit to this place, do it! It was such an unplanned and unexpected surprise for us, and I'm so thankful that we just happened upon it! And while you're there make sure you check out the chapel at the end of the road. St Peter's Chapel is the oldest naval chapel in the United States and is known for its incredible collection of Tiffany stained glass windows.”

“It's an average movie theater the line for snacks is only one way in and out I'm guessing to prevent theft? The theater was clean and has comfortable reclining chairs.”

“The Lighthouse at Glen Cove Marina was the absolute perfect venue for our Daughter's November Wedding. From start to finish; booking, planning through the day of, Crystal, Maggie and Alma were the dream team! Though the couple chose to have a church wedding, Crystal worked with us and all vendors on the timeline and kept the reception moving along and the guests feeling welcome and happy. Fortunately, with beautiful weather the cocktail hour was held outdoors as planned, Crystal did have a contingency plan just in case, which eased any stress we would have had. Guests were amazed at the beauty of the property and convenient location and a few stated they look forward to hosting an event here! Our daughter and her new husband couldn't be happier with their most perfect day. Thank you Lighthouse staff!”

“I'm a 2024 bride and this review is for Ruva and Cynthia! My fiancé and I got engaged in June and we started quickly viewing venues. Weekend after weekend, we finally made it to tour at Hiddenbrooke! We probably went to 5 or 6 Wedgewood before meeting Ruva. Ruva has a calm demeanor and positive attitude, which we experienced during the initial meeting /tour of the venue she facilitated. We hit it off immediately and had common ground on so many things. She was one of the first coordinators to ask where we met and asked about things we liked/ disliked. Ruva is so personable and truly knows this business. After leaving the venue, we still had some questions and either Ruva or Cynthia responded through email or phone call, and they both gave us thoughtful answers and the security we we needed to move forward. The venue itself is so beautiful. The modern furniture and space is so classic. We know will have the best team with Ruva and/ or Cynthia there on our special day! I will update my review as my wedding planning process continues and takes place next summer!!”

“We come to this fairgrounds to attend dog shows throughout the year since we first got into it. It’s a large open space with plenty of room and facilities to accommodate large crowds of crazy dog people. Bathrooms are dated, but functional. Plenty of parking, but be prepared to pay depending on how many days that you plan to attend. They do allow multiple entries at no extra cost which is a huge plus. There’s large areas for overnight parking for RVs, etc…. With available power and water.Special kudos to the parking and security staff…. I had left my back trunk open for several hours by mistake, but nothing was stolen. There’s always a nice and courtesy presence both inside the grounds and outside in the parking lot. We’ve always felt very safe and secure there. We’re looking forward to coming to the next show : )”

“Just like most of the other reviews say this course has a great layout! That is the best part of the course for sure. The driving range is grass not mats which is a huge plus! The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The cons are maintenance is lacking. Par 3 tee boxes look like a war zone and near impossible to find a comfortable place to stand that doesn't have one or both feet partially in divots. Fairways are ok but not great. Greens roll pretty good but don't look very good. The worst part of this place however is the "grille". I can honestly say of any golf course I've ever played including some courses which are far worse than this course, Hiddenbrooke has the worst food I've ever seen. Staff is friendly and it isn't their fault it's the management to even allow such a horrible menu/quality of food. It's really bad. I had a chicken Caesar wrap thinking that would be the safest of the 5 or so options and I was worried the rest of the day I would be sick from it. Still giving 5 stars because I would come back to play the course again as it has a fun layout. If this course were maintained better and had a decent food option I would pay twice as much to play it. Since it doesn't I would definitely not pay over $50 with cart and probably won't play unless it's a $40 or less deal.”

“had an event here and got to say it's a pretty nice venue for an affordable price ! was able to put in my deposit right away, but it took awhile to give them the actual rental money, i messaged them and call them left voicemails repeatedly. i almost thought i didn't have a venue anymore but the day of the event is when they answered and paid them the rental. after the event it took me about a week to get answer from them to be able to return the key and get my deposit back. other than the bad communication. everything went smoothly. will be renting again soon.”
