“It’s my favorite place to get gifts for kids. The staff makes it incredibly convenient too. You can call ahead, tell the staff who the gift is for, your budget and give an idea of what the kid likes (or not if you don’t know) and they’ll find the gift options, text you pictures of what they chose, you finalize, pay over the phone, they wrap the gift, you just show up to pick it up. Voila. Love the convenience. I recently asked for 10 gender neutral gifts under $30 to have them readily available for all the classroom birthday parties we are invited to.”

“Every time I visit from California I have to visit The Second Child in Lincoln Park! The women who work here are the most helpful and so kind. The store is very organized and easy to shop in; I’m also a frequent online shopper. Very rare for a children’s resale shop to carry majority of their inventory online! Highly Recommend!!”
“A bit small but fairly well-stocked clothing stores for infants and toddlers. Always have good deals in clearance and door-busters. Reasonable parking is a huge benefit for a store in urban area / busy neighborhood. Carter’s reward program and return policy is very good (not just for this store). It’s also very easy to shop online and ship to the store!”

“With the closure of the Oak Street Athleta location (RIP) this location has now become my go-to. It's been a minute since I've stopped in, but was in earlier this month for some post-birthday retail damage (I had gift cards :)). It seems like the store has been spruced up (lighter, brighter interior) since my last time coming here. Connie helped me with sizes/fit questions and am glad that she has landed here as she used to work at the Oak Street location. I will be back for sure!”

There was a shirt that I wanted to purchase but it wasnt in the size I needed. So they had it shipped to my home and I even applied for the credit card! “I did not plan on going in this store but I was with my friend who has kids and she decided to shop clothes for her kids and since I am with her, I do not have a choice but to also go in here. I did not buy anything but I wanted to share how wonderful this store is. First, the staff is friendly and very accommodating who helped my friend with everything. She is a definitely a nice and helpful salesperson. Second, the place is spotless and well-lit and the racks and the selections are all organized. Third, the products are all lovely literally lovely. I think this is one of the best kid's stores I visited. The clothes are just so beautiful the designs for both male and female are spectacular and the quality is nice and definitely comfy and my friend shared that it is a really great brand and she is buying stuffs from this brand and to this particular store ever since. Lastly, the prices are fair and reasonable and definitely affordable and that day there were also discounts for about 20% discounts. After visiting the store and after knowing from my friend that this store is great then I highly recommend this wonderful store to the moms and parents out there who wants the best clothes for their kiddos.”
“Between this shop and Virtu in Bucktown, I'm reminded why I love shopping local and why it's so important to do so whenever possible. Vanessa, the owner, is exceedingly kind and stopping in today and having the chance to meet her feels like fate. When I first stopped in the other employee here greeted me and asked what brought me in and if I needed help finding anything. It's not a large place but there is a LOT to look at. They have clothing, accessories, adult jewelry (possibly kids jewelry too, but I wasn't looking at it much), hair notions, and so on. One thing I really needed is a pacifier clip since my daughter has taken to pulling hers out and it ends up in a place in her carseat that is hard for me to reach! They happened to have these which made it a successful shopping trip right there. But whilst we were wandering, Vanessa complimented my sweetie pie and we got to talking. I was in the store for 35 minutes or so and probably half of that was chatting with her. I got a couple of the pacifier clips, and a freaking ADORABLE winter hat that I'm pretty sure is handmade and will probably fly off the shelf. I also bought a book featuring Chicago landmarks which I learned as I checked out Vanessa actually wrote. She autographed it for my baby which I love! Parking is street only and probably can get tough some days, but it's worth the visit. The store is full of really high quality items. They have quite a few Chicago-themed items as well, such as the aforementioned hat, onesies, t-shirts, and so on. It was so nice to talk with Vanessa and get to know her a bit. This is a small shop with big heart and should be on your list of fave baby shops in Chicago.”
“I mail ordered some jeans I liked but needed to exchange for a different size. Samantha helped ring out the exchanges at the register and exchange an item on the floor while Mary checked in the back stock to look for one of my items. They ended up finding the same jeans, color and style, just in the size I requested. Great helpful staff! Aside from myself they kept helping others in checkout and the store is always organized and clean. They deserve recognition and appreciation!”

“I was shopping around 4 years ago for my sons baptism suit, and this was a one stop shop. Prices varied and I ended up spending less than 100$ for a suit, shoes, socks, and candle. I’ve been coming here for four years since for my two other boys.(one baptism being 1 month ago). I have to make another trip as god mother again and this will be the place I go. This store will continue to have my business because their prices are phenomenal and their customer service is amazing. Girls are always very attentive and I always have a pleasant shopping experience.”

“This is thee place to go to for communion dresses! They have so many different styles and most importantly different sizes to choose from! There are so many it makes it hard to pick one! They have everything you need here and on top of that the owners are the nicest people ever! They are so helpful and genuinely care to help you find what you want. I definitely recommend everyone to go there for any religious items you may need. My daughter was so happy with her dress, gloves, purse, and even the candle set! She loved everything!
