Pet Grooming
Bubbles and Brushes for Paws
130 Harrison St, Oak ParkThe groomers here do an excellent job cutting my dogs nails. I just got a new dog and she doesn’t like people touching her paws very much but Bubbles and brushes did an excellent job working with her. I also bring my 8 year old lab to get his nails clip and no issues. It’s affordable and they do a fantastic job clipping my dogs nails. We are always bringing our dogs here for their nails.

Yuppie Puppy Pet Grooming
1042 Chicago Ave, Oak ParkThe staff at Yuppie Puppy was fantastic. We have a new rescue dog and she’s very skittish, but the crew had her leaning up against them and asking for pets when I picked her up. Their pricing beats competitors and my dog looked all shiny and new. I’m definitely coming back!

Carlson Animal Hospital, A Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner
414 Lake St, Oak ParkI cannot say enough good things about Carlson Animal Hospital. They were able to accommodate me for my puppy's first visit the day-of due to a cancellation. They could NOT have been more friendly and caring to my pup. Thoroughly explained all my health options for him and it was all very reasonably affordable. I feel like finding providers is NEVER this easy. I am so lucky to have found this practice.

Blackout Baking Co.
210 S Marion St, Oak ParkWe took our niece out to the Blackout Baking, for an early bit to eat. We all had coffee and cookies, which was very good. The only thing that bothered me was. it is so small, tight on space. Service was great. I will probably stop again, but at an off time of day. So it was time to go, we went to my niece's mothers home for a surprise brunch. Very pleasant day. Peter K.

La Notte Ristorante Italiano
1120 Pleasant St, Oak ParkLa Notte was excellent, as always. My wife kinda invented her own entree... “Pappardelle noodles, a light garlic sauce, and throw in some shrimp “! No problem! My entree was also excellent. It's not inexpensive, but it's very good!

Q-BBQ Oak Park
124 N Marion St, Oak ParkNo idea how this place isn’t a 4.5+!This isn’t pitching itself as some fancy sit down spot, and as such should be judgedNever had a bad meal here, and unsure I’ve ever even had a bad dishNothing “blows your mind” ( except maybe the hush puppies lol) but everything is solid, and more importantly incredible valueI can pickup the LilQ platter + an extra widen here and feed a family of 3 twice for $30!?No where else in Oak Park that isn’t Jerusalem Grill or straight up fast food is providing this level of service and valueTacos are great, the brisket and burnt ends are solid, and love almost every side we have tried, can’t go wrong at Q!

Avenue Ale House
825 S Oak Park Ave, Oak ParkCame in for game day. Avenue Ale House had trivia going on a bustling Wednesday night. Missed happy hour specials but still saw some great menu items. Wanted to order a flatbread... but they ran out of dough! So tried the next best thing with the Maple-Chipotle wings and the Carne Asada Waffle fries. The appetizer portions were large enough to share and affordable to boot $$. Their tap list is on point with over two dozen beers on tap. Tried the Mango Cart and a really refreshing Bauweisse hefeweizen. Due to trivia packing the tables, sat at the bar to watch him ckey and baseball. tThe barstaff did not disappoint with quick and friendly service... tonight's atmosphere made this a 5 star. Will definitely visit Avenue Ale House again.
