All Creatures' Inn
1909 Catnip Hill Rd, NicholasvilleAll creatures inn went above && beyond for my fur baby. Unfortunately my bf && I ran into some complications && had to have Mamba stay for an extended period of time && not once did i have to question if my baby was alright. They absolutely went above && beyond makin sure Mamba (my baby) felt like he had a second they welcomed him open arms played with him they got him treats when they didn't have to && kept his sleeping area on point at all times for him. It's so hard for me to trust places like these but when I tell you THEY WILL LOVE ON YOUR FUR BABY like it's their own that's exactly what they'll do && you don't have worry about a thing. They did a great job updating me on everything that happened && they send cute pics/videos to ease your mind. If you need a pet sitter or have an extended vacation && need a safe loving place for your baby THIS IS IT!! All creatures inn is absolutely amazing && there's really nothing more u can ask of the awesome staff here! Your fur baby will love it here guaranteed. Thanks to everyone who played a part in making Mambas visit the best it could possibly be ??

Pet Care
PetVet365 Pet Hospital & Dental Center Lexington/Brannon Crossing
110 Langley Dr, NicholasvillePetVet365 is absolutely incredible. The space is always clean, calm, and welcoming. I never worry about how my animals react when they enter, or if the staff will think poorly of them. In fact, my animals get EXCITED to come! At PetVet, our animals are as happy as can be. All of the techs are amazing in welcoming our pets in and making sure it’s a positive place for them to be. Not only is the staff amazing with animals, they’re amazing with people too. I have not once had a poor interaction with a staff member here. They also have a text line which makes scheduling and asking questions SUPER easy.We usually see Dr. Brumley for all of our animals, and I think she is indisputably the best vet I have EVER taken my pets to. She has a way of communicating things in such a clear but sensitive way, while also accommodating both the pet and the owners needs. One thing that will make me forever love PetVet is our experience with them and our cat, Moonpie. Moonpies time was very short, but I am so grateful for the amazing care Dr. Brumley could provide her. When she began having more and more symptoms appearing, they almost always got her in same or next day. As a college student, Dr. Brumley also knew that finances were something that needed to be taken into account for our family. She never made me feel bad about needing to consider them, and still provided excellent care. When Moonpies time did come, the PetVet team sent multiple messages checking in on us. The support they provide goes far beyond the exam room.Overall, PetVet will always be my #1 go to place. I recommend everyone I know with pets to them. Your pets will love them, and so will you!

Kentucky Equine Adoption Center Inc
1713 Catnip Hill Rd, NicholasvilleThis (chilly!) morning we had a really special opportunity to tour Kentucky Equine Adoption Center (KyEAC) as part of Horse Country's community-based event: Meet the Neighbors. I'm SO happy this annual program has returned post-COVID! KyEAC is the largest all-breed equine rescue in Kentucky, situated on 72 rolling acres on Catnip Hill Road in Nicholasville. Right now they have 48 horses available for adoption, with 4 more on the way, and a waitlist a mile long. At any given time they have ~50% thoroughbreds, plus wild/feral horses, and horses from the strip mines of Eastern Kentucky. As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, part of their mission is to find the perfect home and purpose for every horse - whether as therapeutic companions, trail horses, or pasture ponies. On the tour - led by Susan Powers - we learned how KyEAC operates, met all the horses and heard their stories, and were treated to a short demonstration in the arena. I was floored. The staff and volunteers at KyEAC are doing amazing work advocating and caring for our most noble and precious symbols of the Bluegrass State. This tour felt much more impactful and important than the standard, showboat, multimillion dollar farms with active racehorses or breeding operations (which are fun, too, I've seen several!), and I would encourage anyone to book a tour (link below) with Horse Country and experience this wonderful place for themselves!
