“This place was very nice bed was comfortable back didn’t hurt at all when I woke up which is a major plus for me!. I didn’t like that only a few people were staying there at the same time as me and my husband stayed and they put us right next to the other tenants that were there. Not that we are loud nor were they, I just like to have the most privacy as possible something I love and pay for. The room we stayed in was very nicely decorated the fridge was like a 50 or 60’s fridge I absolutely loved it! It was just very cozy and I love the decore and really loved the thought they put into decorating the room. Love the no smoking the rooms smelled great! And people that ran the place are very nice and respectful would definitely stay again if needed.”

“Close to the job I was staying at. Close to food I wanted to try friendly staff. Room was kind of small and dated. But had that cozy rustic feel they tied the whole theme together with the interior of the rooms. It was nice. Hot water was quick when you turned it on. Very clean in the rooms. Had directtv with the remote so you could use the guide to find what you wanted. Not just aimlessly flipping channels like most places. Would recommend for short stays. Nice room nice staff. Just small room. But it was just me. So it was alright”

“Nice place!! Friendly staff. Place very clean. Rented for 2 days. Came with "kitchen." Stove, apt size frig, micro, coffee maker, plates, cups, silverware, cooking utensils. Nice bed...table and chairs, big TV with wifi. Just a really comfortable room. All at $65 per night. Guessing winter rates. Would love to visit in summer. Beach front.”

“This is not a best western it is now called Alpena Inn. It is such a cute hotel. All the amenities and rooms are clean and modern. Great prices and a wonderful little stay. Only complaint is that the continental breakfast was only one item and coffee or juice. A few selections would have been nice along with some fruit and yogurt. It was just bagels.”

“Needed access to ice, a restroom, and a clean sink to wash dishes when we ended up staying in town later into the day than I originally anticipated. Couldn’t think of anywhere to go that could give me all three. We were near the hotel so I stopped in to ask. They graciously allowed me access to all three - including offering me dish soap (I’d purchased a small bottle when buying cups and drinks for the road). Pretty sure I interacted with the owners. Whether I did or didn’t, the “after care” speaks to the the quality of the people who work there. We have at least two more trips to make in our home buying process and will definitely stay here again just because of the after service that they did NOT have to provide. We were HOURS after check out. Clean, quiet, dark room to sleep in, too!”

“The facilities are in need of updating and some repairs needed. The staff is pleasant and professional. The bartender at their lounge/bar did a great job serving everyone, but again the facilities restricted the servers performance.”
