“I want to give a 5 star as to not negatively impact this store - but PLEASE STOP writing on the leather bottoms of shoes, specifically women's heels. You are ruining the bottoms of shoes because the marker/pen will destroy the leather bottoms. I know this is to counter theft - but when you ruin the bottoms of the shoes it is not worth it. This is a Salvation Army problem not just your store.”

“I am a new costumer and now a forever costumer to this excellent consignment store. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with this sweet voice “ Hello how are you?” I’m talking about the owner who is the sweetest lady, hard working, very eager to help and assist etc.The store is very clean, organized, wonderful selection of high end merchandise. Everything I looked at was in wonderful condition including casual, work or cocktail dresses, ball gowns, purses, shoes etc. You need to check out this store i guarantee you will not be disappointed!!!”

“Everything in the store is in very good condition. The sales people allow you to shop without bothering you but they are available for questions. Everyone is very nice and the clothing is well organized.”

“We always get great buyback offers for the older kids to spend on new things. A few things seem a little over-priced, but still well under the cost of buying new.”

“The lady, I believe her name was Kim, was very helpful and polite. Her patience was much appreciated and the jewelry section had a lot to look at. Lovely location.”

“Omg, this place has had so much stuff. I went there last night in a practical blizzard to get something for my daughter that she needed for an event. There were 4 people working at the store. Hannah, Jenny, Laurie, and Micheal. Everyone of them helped me at one time or another and provided excellent customer service. I have been to other Salvation Army's and service was no where near as good as it was here. I would highly recommend this store. It's very large and has a very large amount of products at great prices. Seriously, every employee there went above and beyond helping me find what I needed. I hope I put the store manager's name on here, she had to help with pricing on some items and she was so sweet. So extra kudos to her. Thank you for your help. Delaina”

“This Salvation Army at 23 & Van Dyke is a very good one with clothes well organized and always new items coming in. I often find clothes here with the price tags still on. Very spacious with lots of home goods, furniture and more.”

“I have spent several years looking for a very specific Chanel bag that was only made for one year. I found it doing a google lens search at this shop. I ordered it on Wednesday morning and it arrived Saturday morning. It was packaged perfectly and in even better shape than the description and pictures showed. The price was very fair and they shipped it for free. They emailed all the way through the process. Email to confirm my order, another one when they had it packed and ready for pick up, another when it was picked up, another with tracking, and finally an email when it was delivered. It was a great buying experience. I'll definitely check their website in the future and if I end up in Michigan I'll absolutely visit the store.”

“As inflation hits everywhere, Salvation Army is no different but if you shop smart, you can still get a great deal. They offer a color of the week and anything that tag color is 50% off. Some days if you buy five clothes items of that color, they are all five for five dollars. The store is huge and fairly well organized. The customer service is good, but sometimes slightly understaffed.”

“My daughter and her friends just discovered Plato’s Closet. We don’t live in the area but came from out of town for an event and decided to stop in. While I think $50 for used Lululemon still seems like a lot, we got some really good deals (two hoodies and two shirts for $30). The reason I’m writing this review though is to comment on the staff. The workers were amazing, they were kind and talking to the customers, sharing stories, explaining things extremely well and were so respectful. I’ve never been to a Plato’s Closet where I’ve been so impressed by the staff and how friendly they are. Based on that alone, we will be back when we are in the area!”
