if anyone has kids or themselves that need a specialty pharmacy. I highly recommend telling them not to send you to Advanced Infusions. For a whole month, I asked them to switch us to Sentara or CVS specialty pharmacy because Advanced Infusions was not in network with our insurance and I was under the impression that they could only get insurance to approve his infusion for one month (based on the case manager named Roman). He kept giving me the go-around the whole time and kept saying in the future he could change us if we needed to instead of changing us when I asked him from the first day he called to the day we got switched. Our son finally got switched to a different one but he switched us to one that is not in-network with his insurance again. This new place has been trying to get his insurance to see what's taking so long. They told me his infusions were approved till April through Advanced Infusions. So not only did Roman lie and say it was only approved for one month, but he also switched us to a pharmacy that has to go back through the whole approval process when I told him not only one but two pharmacies that are in network with his infusions. It's been two weeks since our baby has had his infusions and to say I am beyond aggravated is probably an understatement since I watched my father die due to this disease and know there was a 3-year-old in my dad's family that also passed for the same reason. Without infusions, our 6-MONTH-old baby has no immune system. He depends on infusions to pretty much survive.

Greedy money hungry company that could care less about patients. I have anthem and Medicare and they accept zero insurance. I was paying $50 A WEEK and still froze my account because I couldn’t pay 5k off in 6 months. Abruptly stopped all services despite me needing the Iv meds to sustain life outside of the hospital. Said I would need an additional $60 copay biweekly to receive my medication.DISGUSTING COMPANY

The way they bill should be considered fraud. I have an implanted pump. The pump was paid for by insurance when it was implanted. The medicine, which is replaced every 3 months, is paid for by insurance when it is injected. So tell me how they're allowed to bill a per diem like they're sending a nurse to my house to give me the injection every single day? $120 PER DAY to run MY meds through MY pump, which operates automatically without oversight or intervention. You know what, nevermind, I'm just going to write my senator.

I have had my pain pump since December 2020 . I am disabled and on Medicare and Medicaid. I have to go to my pain doctor every 3 months to have it refilled. I have received 2 bills from AIS for $40.00 each for my refills. I have a appointment with my pain doctor on 6-1-21 to get my third refill and it will be $40.00 just like the other 2 . So I don't get why you all are having all this trouble with AIS , I haven't had one bit of trouble out of AIS . Every time I have called and talked the AIS they have been very nice and understanding. They told me if I had any problems paying for my Med's that they would help and if I missed a month and couldn't pay for my Med's that month not to worry about it. So I have no problems with AIS .

My Father is Retired and on Social security and his insurance is not in network..He gets 8MG. PerCC x 20CC every month for his pain pump..So $3750 for 12months =$45000 a year.He asked them if he didnt have insurance what it would be ?They said with NO INSURANCE IT WOULD BE ONLY $40.00 for the MorphineThat's Just Deoplorable and Bad business. It should be a insurance fraud and should be shut down ..What scares me is they pray on the Elderly and people in pain in hopes they will actually pay..I seriously hope My dad is able to get this bill canceled ..Will someone explain to me how this is legal ?What are we supposed to do ?? .This is just sad ....

With my last doctor, that I haven’t been with in 2 years, she used AIS to get my pump meds mixed together and sent to her office. My current doctor had to order from AIS once, very early this year, but he uses a local infusion company. The service and prices are better. Well I found out that AIS is billing my insurance between $3,000 and $5,000 per month! The earliest claim that I have found so far is from December of 2019, but it may have been billing me since before then. I don’t get paper EOBs and see quite a few doctors, so I didn’t notice this other claim. Every month, on the 1st like clockwork, they bill my insurance. I called them when I first noticed it and they said my current doctor was using them, which shocked me because I was paying my doctor directly since he pays for the meds himself. I’m trying to dispute it but have been unsuccessful. My doctor advised me to bring in the EOBs to my next appointment and they’d put the hammer on these people. Even when I was using them with my last doctor, I didn’t pay anything since my insurance didn’t cover them. I filled out the financial aid and they took care of it. I guess I’m paying for it now, lol.

I'm in agreement with all of these complaints and their experience with AIS! I go to my pain doctor's office to have my pump refilled about every month and a half. My own HMO doesn't have the doctors that manage or work with an intrathecal pain pump like I have.So they pay for me to go out of network to my doctor and pay for almost everything I have done. I have never been billed for anything over $40.21, however I just received a bill, dated 2/4/2020, from AIS, with a past due charge for December 2019, and October 2019. The bill is for $195.00. While this is nothing like these precious ladies are contending with, it still is a stretch for me, AND I'm still getting my normal billing from my pain doctor like I always have. When I called AIS, and asked them what this bill is and who they were, I get the explanation of: Oh, your doctor recently switched over to us for all his infusion medicines because we are more efficient, and our infusion medication is of exceptional quality, AND it lasts like a week longer if for some reason you cant make your appointment. Now my thought is this; when you have something as important to your health, and managing your life, YOU DON'T MISS YOUR APPOINTMENT! Am I right? It also suggests that what my doctor had been using was of mediocre quality and NOT in my best interest. I told them I don't owe this much, to which they replied well you are paying for the quality and the lengthy expiration date for your convenience. They told me that I needed to file a financial application from them and they would see if I could get my medication for a little less. I'm angry and so convinced that this company is "gilding the lily", or better yet, stealing from good people who basically have their backs up against the wall. If we don't get our medication, we suffer withdrawals, and the deterioration of our daily life! AIS knows this and uses this scare tactic to see who they can bully. I'm taking this as far as I can, before I succumb to this medicinal blackmail! Please don't let them win!!!!! I, too, am on a fixed income, and SSDI, due to my spinal column being bone on bone, and I have arthritis in my body, and psoriatic arthristic inside and out. With a lot of prayer and faith in God I will continue this journey to make it right for all people taken advantage of by AIS, not just for myself. God bless you all, Robin S.

I agree with Miss *****, I have a pain pump and my doctor contracts out to AIS. My insurance was billed a large amount of $2,700.00 when I first received the pump and when it said I owed the whole amount I called the company and asked what the fee was for they explained that the insurance company has played them to pay a daily per diem for the use of their medicine. I told them they were crazy and if my insurance refused to pay then they were out of luck cause they weren't going to get the first red cent from me. They assured me that they would not send me a bill and as of yet I haven't received one however my insurance has denied every one of their claims since. I believe they are billing these fees to every insurance company and seeing which will pay. It is sort of throwing spaghetti at a wall and seeing what sticks. Unfortunately Medicaid and Medicare are probably paying without giving it much thought. I know my dr's office didn't know about this charge until I made them aware.

As I was reading through Miss *****'s review, dated 6/14/2019 and I realized that her complaints about AIS are exactly similar to mine. AIS also billed my insurance tens of thousands of dollars. I got a letter from AIS stating that they wanted to charge my insurance company for every time my pump delivered my dilauded which is currently 4x/day. That would be no different than a pharmacy charging a service charge for ever pill they dispensed!! As far as I know, AIS is only supposed to dispense my pain medication and nothing else. Like Miss *****'s, My insurance is out of network too. I took the letter that I received from AIS and 3 denial letters from ***** ** ******** to my pain management doctors billing office, the billing office called AIS. AIS told them that they were only welcoming me to their company??? I've kept ever letter and voice mail I've gotten from AIS and I plan on calling my insurance company tomorrow and see if they'll investigate AIS for fraud!! Now I have to wonder if I'm getting the correct dosage and strength of my pain medication??? If AIS can blatantly lie and defraud my insurance company, what else are they lying about??

My pain management doctor recently switched all his intrathecal pain pump patients to this company. There was no notice to patients except fine print in the paperwork you must sign for care, which literally no one reads. Not if you want your pump refilled. For two years this cost me about $3-4K per year. I have a $3000 deductible so I paid almost every cent. Now instead of the hospital pharmacy providing my drug, they contracted with AIS to make it. Instead of billing about $500 per refill (twice a year for me), AIS IS BILLING MY INSURANCE $120 PER DAY, $43,800 A YEAR!!! This is no joke. I am completely serious and verified all this with my doctor’s office and AIS. AIS assured me I would not receive any bills from them while they are out of my insurance network, which they are. Yet a month after I got my last refill, I got a call harassing me to pay up. Who can afford this? I’m disabled and on SSDI. I want other patients and pain management doctors to know they are lying to us. All of us. “Oh no, you won’t get any bills from us as long as we are out of network with your insurance.” They lie. I’m calling the tomorrow to get an appointment to get my pump shut off permanently. I’ll go back on pills before I let this horrible company bankrupt my family. Frankly, my quality of life is not worth $44,000 a year even if I had it. I am not that much better on the pump than on pills and am well below the MME guidelines even on my old medication regimen. And that’s where I’m going back.

Awful place to work and deal with. Very high turnover rate. Patty Skelton has no idea how to be a "boss". A ton of strict rules. Not worth the stress!
