I highly recommend this place! I am very impressed with how he handled my dog Shiloh, she has a lot of anxiety, and is not easy to deal with. I was losing hope on finding a vet for her until I found this place!

Update. This used to be such a great vet but have really gone downhill. Not sure if it's the lack of employees or what's going on. We took our dogs here for quit a few years, after McCabe left I believe it just got to be to much for Dr. V.. Dr V always seemed to be such a great vet and always took good care of our pups. I don't want to say anything bad, BUT 2 of our dogs were misdiagnosed and were taking prescription meds they didn't need for about 2 years! After we changed vets is when we found out. My son took his dog in to get some of her teeth pulled (after I told him that he should take his dog to jobs peak) (I felt Horrible) his dog passed away after something want right with her. He called the vet the same day and explained what was going on and they told him that she will be fine, she started getting worse he called them back to let them know that she was getting worse he was told again that she will be fine. He decided to take her to ER vet in Carson from Gville she passed away in the car on the way to ER.

Overpriced designer vet care that can't even stitch up a dog after 8 hours. Wouldnt even give me salt ne rinse and stapler to do it myself.I guess if you got an appointment they are good. I been going there for several years, but not anymore after last two visits.

They are great at what they do. We thought our fur baby was gunna die. She got sick and started to vomit, appitite slowly declined and she wouldn't go #2 anymore. She became super lethargic. Turns out She had an infection in her uterus which the vet identified and put her through sergery. Now she is once agian a happy pup! Thank you ♥️

I recently adopted two kittens from the Douglas County Animal Shelter and received vouchers for free rabies shots and free neutering for Job's Peak Veterinary. After speaking with the front desk and the office manager I was informed that I would be required to first have Job's administer their core vaccines (and establish them as patients and pay for required physicals) prior to them honoring the vouchers. When I told Con-Job's Veterinary that I would have my current veterinarian administer the vaccinations and the rabies shots and that I would have Con-Job's only do the neutering they refused me that service. They are refusing to honor the voucher because I am using my veterinarian for the shots instead of them. They are trying to blackmail me into being a client by not neutering my kittens as per the vouchers unless I pay all these extra fees. Moreover, Perscilla and the office manager were extremely short with me, demonstrated an extreme lack of customer service, consistently spoke over me and would not allow me to complete my questions and where in general very rude and unpleasant towards me.Crooked veterinary practice if you ask me. No wonder Diplomates won't touch them. They are also dishonoring Douglas County by refusing to honor the agreement they have with them to have adopted animals receive the legally required rabies shots and to be altered.Since Job's is neither interested in the welfare of these adopted kittens nor helping to control the unwanted pet population by refusing veterinary care, I can only hold them in contemptuous scorn.Your practice is not upholding the Veterinary Hippocratic Oath:Being admitted to the profession of veterinary medicine, I solemnly swear to use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health and welfare, the prevention and relief of animal suffering, the conservation of animal resources, the promotion of public health, and the advancement of medical knowledge.I will practice my profession conscientiously, with dignity, and in keeping with the principles of veterinary medical ethics. I accept as a lifelong obligation the continual improvement of my professional knowledge and competence.Con-Job's Veterinary Hospital earns a huge FAIL!!!!!

I love Job’s Peak. When I took my beloved 19-year-old kitty in for her trip over the rainbow bridge, Tobie was so compassionate and helped me through this heartbreaking ordeal. Dr. Dan treats his pet patients as if they were his own and we trust him completely. I will never go anywhere else.

I had the best experience at Job's Peak Veterinary Hospital. I would highly recommend them, they really care and were there for my dog at 2am when she was going downhill fast. I called at 2am and the vet returned my call within minutes and met me at their veterinary hospital. It was one of the most difficult moments of my life, saying goodby to my beloved dog, Lucy, and the vet was warm and supportive with me and Lucy. Thank you

WARNING - ONLY IN IT FOR THE MONEY AT THE EXPENSE OF ANIMAL HEALTH AND SAFETY. I called to schedule an appointment for a check and rabies shot for our new puppy. We had a retired vet tech administer her distemper/parvo shots previously and have all documentation. Unfortunately, we were told by a rather rude, pushy receptionist that Job's Peak does not give out only rabies shots. They said they will only give a rabies if they could repeat the entire series of distemper/parvo. She said that they only accept vaccinations that are done by a licensed vet, although I questioned why this is so when you do not need to be licensed to administer vaccinations (they are readily available at Eastern Sierra Feed!) When I questioned the safety of giving a 16 week old puppy SIX REPEAT SHOTS, the receptionist was again very arrogant and rude and told me that I didn't have to go there. I questioned whether this was a money making scheme at the expense of pet health and safety, and she hung up on me. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!I called Carson Valley Vet and they happily said they will administer the rabies shot individually and have no problem accepting the previous vaccinations. :-)

We were excited to see the vet at Jobs Peak because we heard raving reviews about the vet there. Toby at the front desk ruined it all! I have not had that bad of a customer service experience in YEARS! First, they want you to wait in the car and call when we arrived. Toby answered the phone. I said I was here with my dog and had to repeat her name several times. Toby, very rudely, said that my dog didn't have an appointment unless the name was Chai. I finally handed the phone to my husband who made the appointment, and Toby asked for my husband by name...obviously we did have an appointment the office just got the name of our pet wrong. Toby told us that we were late, that we were supposed to be there 15 minutes earlier to fill out paperwork (which was never told to us when we made the appointment) but that she would make an exception and bring us the paperwork. Toby came out and shoves a clip board at me with one short page to fill out (that would take me 1 minute to complete.) Then she asked if we had our pets records, we said yes, we will just need to email them to you. Toby, very rudely again, said, "You don't have them printed out?" I said, "No, we need to email them to you." Toby stormed off to go inside to get another pen. At this point, my husband was already hestitant about the energy and rudeness we had already experienced. Toby comes back and hands me the pen and says, "So you are here for vaccines?" I said, no, we are here for a new patient check up. Toby said, "We recquire up to date vaccines for all of our pets." I told her that my dog was up to date on all of her vaccines. Toby barked, "WHEN did she last get her vaccines!?" At this point, we realized that this was a horribly rude and agro person and we wanted nothing to do with this veterinary establishment. I told Toby, "You know what, we are done here." Toby then yanked the clip board out of my hand so hard, I was shocked! I then said, "Here is your pen." as Toby stormed off. She didn't turn around so I dropped the pen out of my window and we left. What a total nightmare! If this vet is as good as everyone says, the vet desperately need to have someone else running the front desk as Toby wins the award for the worst, most inapropriate, unorganized and rude customer service experience my husband or I have ever had at a vet!
