A great value for a decent gym if you're just looking to get some movement in each week. Monthly memberships range from $15-25/month, there's generally a special to get the first month for free and there are plans where you can bring guests. Each membership comes with a free training session, which are so reasonably priced if you sign up, something like $30-40 per session. Some coaches even let you bring your partner or friend to train with so it's like a 2 for 1 deal. There are plenty of cardio and strength machines and you'll never have to wait for free weights. It is limited on squat and power racks, which are usually taken. People are generally very polite and the staff is always cleaning. This is the cleanest gym I've been to, it's always spotless. As a repeat customer, I can say this is definitely a great gym if you're on a budget and not expecting something upscale, there are ones nearby that are fancier or offer more amenities, but I always get a good workout in and have the best experience when I avoid the rush hour so machines are usually more free.

Blink Astoria is clean, friendly staff members, safe environment for an affordable price! I highly recommend this facility. Hopefully, this post won't overcrowd the gym with new members but it's a fair and honest review. They deserve it!

Great gym! Spacious and lots of equipment, it never feels full. However the equipment can be updated.

Extremely overcrowded and full of obnoxious teenage boys who take up tons of space and are loud and rude. There is also a huge lack of weightlifting equipment for the number of people at this gym. Tried to cancel my membership but couldn’t cus I didn’t have a credit card on me.

Join literally any other gym in Astoria. I've been at Blink for years and it has massively gone downhill. This location is less of a gym and more of a teenager hang out spot. This place is constantly overcrowded by packs of teenage boys that all workout in groups of 4-6 and hog equipment for 20-30 minutes at a time. One guy will workout while the rest stand around taking selfies, watching videos on their phones, and playing grab ass. The staff all stay downstairs and totally turn a blind eye while these children are playing around, throwing water bottles at each other, and breaking equipment. I once saw two kids wrestling around on the floor in the crowded free weights area uninterrupted for 10 minutes. The staff refuses to do anything about this and it makes for an unsafe environment. On top of that, half of the equipment is downright broken or doesn't function properly. They have 5 Precor AMT machines and all of them are broken. Literally half of their ellipticals are broken. Nearly every weight machine has some kind of damage to it. They just took out their yearly maintenance fee on all members and have done nothing with it but add a few rowing machines no one uses that just clutter up the area around the ellipticals.

I was a member of this gym when it first opened. During COVID, it was impossible to get in so I went to Planet Fitness. Once COVID restrictions eased, I went back to Blink. I have been going to commercial gyms since the 80s and this location is scraping the bottom of the barrel. The staff isn't trained to interact with the public. They prefer to chat amongst themselves and seem disturbed when people enter the gym or greet them. The gym is basic as best. A few places to bench, squat, or do other machines. But it is always crowded with people who don't lift, spend 30 minutes on a station while texting or chatting with the staff member who flirts with them. Unless you are chummy with someone who works there, forget it, you are on your own. Then there are the gym divas who parade around with their cameras looking for social media clout. Annoying and entitled. There are a few areas for people who train but it seems like some sort of cult you need to be initiated into. There are kids barely out of diapers hogging machines while doing nothing. They raised the prices too. For what i don't know. The equipment hasn't changed as the cardio machines still have iPhone 4 charging ports. There is usually an elliptical machine available if that is what you are looking for. Good luck trying to get in shape here.

This gym needs to clean house. It’s too overcrowded. There’s nothing but a bunch of high school guys running in pacts hogging up every single gym equipment like they run the place. I can’t even find a single dumbbell because they’re all hogged by other people that are not really using it. Then you have people sitting on the benches like if they are at a park. Is this even a gym or is it just a hangout spot? These people aren’t serious, they are either texting or filming to chase clout. This is Mickey Mouse stuff. Either you train or you don’t. Someone at management really needs to do something about this. All I see is nothing but a robotic staff crew that doesn’t even look like they care. This is supposed to be a place to release stress, not to be more stressed. Another thing this place is supposed to be an 18 or older gym. I’ve observed kids that obviously look younger than 18 sabotaging equipments. Common courtesy is non existent.

This Blink is an incredible value. For the price, you get very clean and well-lit facilities, friendly staff, and good equipment. Equipment includes cardio machines, three full squat racks, many dumbbells, benches, cables, yoga mats, pull up bars, kettlebells, and more. They offer personal training, and the staff is overall helpful and friendly.

Stars because the staff is always friendly and helpful, and the gym is pretty clean.Hours are horrendous, and its always packed. Fixing the hours so the gym is open later/earlier would make the experience here much better for people working different schedules, and can help fix the overcrowding issue too.Several of the weight machines are broken/old and could use an update. Could use barbells and punching bag options as wellWould definitely raise to 5 stars if the hours extended (especially on weekends!). 6am-2am on most days would be great.

I want to express my gratitude to the fitnas employee in Astoria. Juan is a very cool employee who treats the members of the club with all his heart. He's the only reason why I joined Blink, even though I didn't know him before. I've traveled a lot around the world, but this is the first time I've met such an excellent fitness employee.

I signed up for 1 month (I don’t live in NY) I know you don’t offer a membership for 1 month and I was willing to pay the cancellation fee, however, a Blink staff never mentioned to me the annual fee of $60, I would have never signed up knowing I would have to pay that on top of everything else. I tried to get this fee waived but it’s been extremely difficult getting in touch with customer service. I tried calling, they said they couldn’t help me because they only deal with billing. I tried emailing and no one got back to me still and I tried to talk to the manager at the location and he never got back to me. I feel that the lack of information from your staff has now led me to this issue which totaled my cost to $120, just for the month. Needless to say I will never be joining again or refer anyone to Blink.

Needs to return to 24 hours All of the things that other people have said are true--it is crowded, many of the machines are in so-so condition, and at certain hours (5-6 PM generally) it's a zoo where you won't be able to do anything except walk on a treadmill. These issues would be greatly alleviated by returning to a 24/7 schedule, or at least 24 hours mon-fri and closing at 11 on Sunday. This would lower the congestion, which is the biggest problem for this gym.
