“What a treat it was to stumble upon the Church of Sweden and its basement cafe and gift shop. It was fun to shop among all the great Swedish products and enjoy some saffron buns and Glogg. The staff were wonderfully helpful in selecting just the right gifts and food. We will return again some day to see the church that was under renovation during our visit in Nov 2023. We suggest some bigger/better signage, as it was a stroke of luck that we noticed the Swedish flag and turned down the street to see why it was there.”
“I went to St. Cecila's church, to stay for a mass service in honor of Ash Wednesday.A lot has changed inside over the years, but whenever I'm around 106th between Lexington and Park, I like to stop in and catch a service.”
“The church is incredibly peaceful and spiritual. The homilies are some of the best I’ve heard and I love the deep throaty bells that announce mass and the coming of our Lord!”

“It's tough finding a God-genuine place of worship and growth. Especially in today's world. Well, this is a wonderful church. Those who run it, do so in a genuine manner. So do open your heart and mind and God will lead you where it is meant for you to be. But if you need to go, this is a blessed place. God bless.”
“I love, love, love the flea market held during the summer months! The atmosphere is fun and loving , there’s a little food, some music and plenty of nice items to buy. The vendors do a good job of offering quality items for a bargain. Hopefully they will be back this summer :)”

1151 Bushwick Ave, Brooklyn“I've been here couple of times with my friend. At first I was kind of shy, but the people here are so wholesome. There is programs for everyone, they range on your age. Everyone struggles to make friends or establish good relationships with new people. Here is very different though, everyone is cool, and even the staff are great here. There is no sanitation issues in this place, everything is tidy and beautiful... this place is very calming and relaxing. This place is AMAZING! Apart from all of that, there is church and it is very good and the community is healthy and fun. They have a variety of things such as Guitar lessons, and there is a basketball court to play in, there are drums... so many things.”
“Wandered into the church courtyard on a balmy Saturday to read on a bench and eventually met the church’s new priest Christine Lee. She is so kind, warm, inviting, real. The works! Anyone who attends this church is in such good hands. Now that churches are back for in-person services, I look forward to attending one in their storied, beautiful church.5 stars!!!!”

“I go here during my lunch hour and it helps me to rebalance my energy and just relax in a quiet space free from cacophony.Very tranquil and spiritually refreshing.”
“My family and I have been going to this church since I was a little kid. I got baptized, joined the front door ministry, and gave my heart to the lord and also got married here. I have been to a lot of other churches but I always want to be here. The people are so friendly and Bishop Nelson is a great leader. I love him and his family and I never feel like this church is to big that you couldn’t interact with all the leaders, staff and church attendees. I always feel like his sermons are right on the money. Great for adults, and kids as they have a wonderful children's ministry. I feel like they have something for everyone. This is my home and even though I don’t live so close anymore. I always make the drive to attend.”
“it's been a bit of a bummer since registration's started, but you can be sure they'll have room for both you and the Lord ? all we can hope for is a day where we can return to maskless praise, amen ??”

“Wonderful service and the preacher is an excellent teacher. The choir sung lots of beautiful songs and the band is great. It was a full house, but they have a large balcony. See Bishop Omega on YouTube Webcast also.”
“When I pulled up, a sign at the front said “not accepting donations”. A path was made available to the entrance of the building, as the snow storm had just passed. Inside the building looked clean. Two persons were present, a young man and an older lady, both were pleasant. I asked if I could drop some items off to be donated, which I was allowed. I asked if the clothing would be donated to people in need, to which I was informed, it would be sold in the discount store and the remaining un-sell-ables, will be shipped overseas. I did see people lined-up outside in an orderly fashion, receiving food items. The only concern was diversity, the people who were in line were that of Hispanic decent, (maybe because the location). When does clothing gets donated to people in need? I was provided with a receipt that listed the # of bags and the list of items donated.”
