“Favorite little neighborhood wine store. Can't believe their rating isn't a solid 5-stars across the board. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly, FUNNY and they remember you/your selections/your preferred wines. Nice little rewards program too, so every now and then you get $5 bucks off. They also now deliver which makes it almost too convenient :) and their tastings are fun. Great small business to support.”
“This is a great liquor store with very knowledgeable staff/ owners. If you are looking for hard to find Bourbons and Whiskey's this is the place for you. They have an outstanding selection of Blanton's many of which are not sold in the US. Prices are competitive and service is great!. If you like spirits or are into designer bottles, then do not miss shopping at this location.”

“Oliver's Beverage in Albany is an in-the-know type booze and wine store. It's best in the summer. The shelves are expertly marked by region and by category. Find German beer, soda, small bottle shooters, whiskey cask beer, French wines, Italian whites, 6 packs, singles and even a fountain (that I have not tried out yet) to fill beer-growlers with that good Winter Lager or IPA. It's a very large shop and it would be nice if there were (it's a Yelp tip Oliver's..) a place for pregnant moms and old folks to sit: inside or outside. The prices are a bit on the higher end but you find oddities and some nifty finds, only here. Pretty good assortment. Review: 5”

“Selection is outstanding! Prices are okay. This is what brings me back. I like to support small family owned businesses whenever I can. However, I cannot find wines produced in Sicily in the smaller stores. Sometimes, they may have one kind. We enjoy and want to support Sicilian wine makers. Store is huge, but easy to navigate, especially with a shopping cart to hold selections. Plus the store layout and organization are excellent. Signs are abundant and useful. The store is well lit, and the displays are both functional and attractive. Prices and descriptions are displayed well. Staff is available on the floor for consultation, if wanted. Employees are knowledgeable and helpful. It is a pleasant experience shopping here whether you want to get in and out quickly or browse. I found the wines produced in Sicily quickly in the larger Italy section of the store. Over 20 wines were available. I selected six reds. I also selected 4 Pinot Grigio from the Pinot section. And a Prosecco. Checkout is efficient. There are significant extra savings if you are registered. I saved $18. The friendly cashier asked me if I wanted carry out service, and I said yes. Quick response. Handicap parking is abundant.”

“This store has different names depending on where you search. The sign over the door says "Westmere Wine and Spirit." On Google you'll find both "Westmere Wine & Liquor" and "Westmere Liquor Store," and here on Yelp, it's also "Westmere Liquor Store." But they're all the same place, at 1810 Western Avenue. For a relatively small space, it's amazing how much they carry and just how well organized it is. The wines dominate the middle aisles. On the right, you have some New York State wines, and you've also got Asian selections, including a large variety of Sake. On the left, you have your liquors, and these are competitively priced. Plus, given how close it is to my home, it's very convenient for me.”

“This place used to be just OK. In the past few years they have started to really boost their craft beer selection and now its without a doubt the best place to get good craft beer in the Glenville area. My only complaint? They keep all their craft selection at room temp. If they could put it all into fridges I would give this place 9 stars out of 5.”
