One word: Compassion. Compassion is at the core of every single teacher we have come across at Bright Horizons LIC. We just transitioned our one year old daughter into the toddler class and had a very informed PTC (parent teacher conference) this past Friday with Ms. Syeda! We were nervous about her transition since all the kids in her class are older/bigger than her by a few months. But what we learned on our call is that they truly foster an equitable environment that keeps all the babies' minds so stimulated. In addition to reading and free play, I learned that in her toddler class she does some yoga for self-soothing practices, paints, waters plants and they go to the MMZ (movement matters zone) twice a day. The schedule truly is wonderful and very much in line with what we do at home. I would highly recommend this location and all the beautiful people working there to any parent looking for the perfect baby school!

For us, Bright Horizons LIC is the place where our child spends every week day from morning to 6pm. We see him reaching new milestones day by day. At drop-off he is waving goodby to us, at pickup I find him busy and enjoying his activity. We really appreciate the teachers and the stuff and love that they engage so much in activities with the kids and also move them to other classes (like stem room, gym room, etc).I see the center as a safe environment and our child is happy and so do we.

Overpriced....inexperienced teachers/ daycare workers...They accept anyone as long as your paying..even if the child hits, bites and scratches other children they will hide it as long as the parent is paying

I had so much anxiety about sending my infant to daycare, but bright horizons LIC has been wonderful! They treat my baby like family and are so flexible with all requests for his meals/naps/etc. I couldn't be happier able his care. It's so nice to get pictures and updates about all his feedings, diapers, naps, and activities in their app. 10/10 would recommend.

It was the first time that my son went to a daycare. So we do have preparation that the first day would be tough for my son. He probably would cry a lot.We reserved a backup daycare. Generally, the teacher is kinda friendly and responsive according to the interaction with me in the morning call (I really appreciated it). However, I am so disappointed and frustrated for the entire experience on the first day. I feel the daycare is NOT thoughtful for babies and their parents who are new to a daycare. I neither see how the daycare center helped my son to make the transition smoothly nor how they try to communicate with parents. Parents stay in a Blackbox. Except a call in the morning (I called), I did NOT have any opportunity to speak with teachers who were with my son. Also, backup care daycare kids look like “second-class citizens” there, maybe because they just temporarily stay there, but I think no matter what type of care we select, every kid SHOULD be respected in the same way!!I have already cancelled all future reservations. I will NOT consider BH for either backup or regular daycare anymore.

It has been almost 5 months since BH Long Island City reopened after the original pandemic closure, and it has been nothing short of a life changer for myself, my wife and most importantly, our 1 1/2 year old son. Originally slated to start in April '20 as a 4 month old, it wasn't until he was over a year old that he was first able to get into the center during the January '21 reopen, and not a moment too soon. His growth during that time period has been incredible to watch, and we owe so much of that to the tender, comprehensive and forward-thinking care he gets every day at BH LIC.Everyone at the center is deeply invested in early childhood education, and it shows with the wide array of engaging activities they participate in every day. His love of his teachers, center staff and most importantly his fellow 'friends' (classmates) is obvious - especially when he tries to drag his backpack to the door on Saturday mornings! The center has had a strict yet transparent COVID policy that has kept our minds at ease, and being a part of the BH infrastructure has been incredibly valuable - the mobile app updates throughout the day are best in class (and adorable to boot!), and communication between the center and parents is consistent and helpful. It has only been a few short months, but we already know getting him into the center when we did was arguably the best decision we've made in his early childhood development to-date, and we're excited to see what comes next.

We were very happy to send our daughter to this daycare. Overall it was a great experience. We started during covid in March 2021. You got the sense that covid was very hard for this center, as it has been for all child care centers. The director William and Shannon really helped us feel comfortable sending our daughter there. After a couple weeks our daughter was running to get into the daycare. They would send us frequent updates including video and photos, so we knew what was going on throughout the day. I'd highly recommend this daycare because our kiddo loved it. The tuition is very steep and there are no outdoor spaces or access to the outdoors, so that is something to consider.

We’re so thankful for the team here! They made our daughter’s return to the classroom after the long closure due to the pandemic seamless. The teachers and administration have proactively communicated and shared new ways for us to be involved in the classroom even when we can’t enter the building, making can be what is a stressful time so much easier for us as parents. And seeing my daughter thrilled to bring her art home, share stories about her friends, and sing songs she has learned is priceless.

Our two and a half year-old son has been in their excellent care since he was 5 months old. I chuckled on the tour when they described their "curriculum" for infants but seriously, from day 1 they have designed engaging, creative, and developmentally appropriate activities to stimulate and nurture him in so many ways. Everyone in the center greets him by name and couldn't be warmer to him, myself, or my husband. They've been responsive to all of our questions and any concerns that have come up along the way. We're so grateful that they reopened after the pandemic closures of March 2020, and have been very satisfied with their masking and social distancing protocols. We're very grateful for their excellent partnership in helping to raise our son.

I used LIC bright horizons 6-7 times as a back up care option. Very good daycare well run attentive teachers and assistant teachers. Good activities for children. Extended hours available. Overall my son was really happy there.

The curriculum and team at Bright Horizons LIC is top notch! I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Instead of feeling guilty regarding leaving my daughter at daycare, I truly feel like I am doing a good thing for her. At just 9 months old, she is clearly excited to arrive in there in morning and giggles as soon as we come through the door!
