I don't use this vet very often, but I do get my dog's flea medicine from them fairly regularly. When I went to get some today, I was first told that I should have called first to get the flea medicine (although they allowing people I now). Then I was told they couldn't sell me "anything" because my dog needs a shot. I was quite confused by the decision and the tone. I let them know that I have an appointment, which is 2,weeks away because they didn't have any sooner when I made it. She still wouldn't sell me flea medicine. My dog is 9 so I am thoroughly disgusted after having spent money there for so many years to be talked to that way. I don't ever plan to go there again. Ever.

I do not recommend this veterinary hospital or boarding. They do not communicate appropriately when a pet is being boarded and in distress. They will rack up money any way they can during an annual check up or boarding service. The receptionist is rude and not personable, when trying to ask questions or schedule an appointment. I would highly recommend going to a different vet at all cost.

Well, let me start by saying that the vets here are great and the prices are reasonable when you compare them to other vets in the area. There was constant communication regarding my dog's health. I was never charged for anything before it was discussed with me first. They were willing to work me in without an appointment as my dog's regular vet would not accommodate me. I've never boarded my dog here and would not do so at any veterinary clinic. I prefer taking my dog to a regular kennel. I did leave a previous dog here for doggie day care and on one occasion it got bit by another dog, so I'm not doing that again. I will only let her interact with other dogs under my own supervision. I'm definitely very happy with the health care provided to my dog here and would recommend them.

I have seen one doctor here 6 years ago when having to euthanize my dog and again saw the same doctor this past weekend when my other dog passed away at home. Both times they were very compassionate and even said a prayer with me and my dogs. I will have them as a vet if I get another dog in the future.

ABSOLUTLY do NOT take your babies to this place! Omg the worst veterinary experience we've had! They are not about helping care for animals. They are about the $$$MONEY$$$. My poor 14 years old poodle/shitzu's dew claw was broken when I got her back from boarding 6 days. We boarded our 2 dogs and 2 cats and paid over 600.00 which included vaccines for the cats. Ok. After getting everyone home discovered the dew claw broken. We were given an appointment time the next day. My baby has some weight loss issues and beings I had asked to see the vet myself decided to discuss her weight loss issues as well as the broken dew claw. She suggested bring her back the next day to sedate her and remove it. And we decided to draw blood for the weight loss. She told me the bloodwork would be 130$ which was fine. And I expected to pay the exam fee. She also gave 5 pills for pain and inflammation. I get to the checkout and was being charged for pain meds and was told I'd have to pay for her procedure to remove her dew claw the next day. Well, the owner Vet was called to talk to me. WHAT AN A&&!!!!!! I'd signed a waiver when dropping them off, it could've happen getting in the car, blah blah blah....SHE WAS IN HIS CAGES FOR 6 DAYS. All vets do it his way I was told. Then he tried telling me she didn't need sedating and he could take her to the back and snip it off with nail trimmers...but 20 minutes earlier I was told she needed this Procedure with sedation ($$$money in his pocket)because it's painful. I was told he had 40 yrs experience and 'his' vet that I had met with initially only had graduated last year. OMG I'm so mad at how we were talked to and treated!!! And at the end he tells me I'm putting her thru more pain by not letting him take her back and cutting it off. It obviously about lining his pocket with $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I'm so angry!!!!! Just look at how big and fancy this place is and you'll realize they need money to pay for it. I've NEVER written a review before but felt I HAD too here.

AWFUL PLACE!!!! If you love your pet DO NOT BRING THEM HERE!!!!!!! The owner is evil and rude. I told him about his doc who attended my pregnant dog telling him my dog was in labor and and she couldn't push out puppy and she sent us home knowing that the puppy was too big since we had an ultrasound done. She never said hey it's your dogs past due date and single puppies are big I would recommend since you are here let's have a c section. Instead she sent us home making me think it's possible for my dog to push out that big puppy. Two days later I take her back because she's not contracting we did another ultrasound and she tells me the puppy is dead. And she tells me oh and your dog might have cancer. Doc Pooch was so insensitive and has no emotions no knowledge. She says your dog needs to be spayed now. Never did she say would you like to have those possible cancer bumps removed since your dog is already under? Nope! She just had her spayed. Leaving the cancer in her. When I told the owner this he told me "if you wanted a memory of your dog by making her have a puppy you should of just taken a picture" he was the worst!!!!!!!!!!! Evil man! Heartless! Then I took my dog to BENVENUE animal hospital and we were treated sooooool much better. They removed my dogs cancer and offered to remove something else they found in my dog. What a difference in service!!! Take your pets to BENVENUE ANIMAL HOSPITAL not here!!!!!! All they care is about money and they were awful and heartless. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!!! You have been warned.

NEVER NEVER NEVER TAKE A BELOVED PET TO THIS PLACE. First: Overcharging. What sort of thieves take advantage of a pet owner by billing nearly $800 -- without even the COURTESY of a phone call to discuss it first? Second; Coincidence that the pet DIED within a WEEK of being "cared" for by these people? Not likely. Horrid place! I would have given them a -10 rating, but there was no opportunity to do so. Do yourself and your pets a LIFESAVING FAVOR: GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!

I just want to thank everyone at Riverside Vet from the bottom of my heart for the compassion and understanding they showed me, my daughter and our beloved baby Daisy Lou Yesterday. They are some of the most wonderful people I have ever met and they help us though a very emotional time with nothing but compassion, understanding and patience. I just wanted everyone there that help us in anyway from the big to the small things from the kind words to the hugs thank you.
