This review is based on appearance. My wife ordered a simple, 2 tier cake that she decorated herself.- There cake was not straight at all. Very sloped.- The icing was not smooth. The picture shows the worst of it, but it was similar around the entire thing. No idea how it tasted, we didn’t eat any, but even without having tasted it, I can almost guarantee that it was too sweet. When I opened the box, I was smacked in the face with an overwhelming, near sickening, smell of pure sugar. I’m actually glad I didn’t have any. The cake wasn’t the only dessert and ended up being forgotten in the fridge and given to the guests of honor to take home. TBD on the actual taste. All in all, will not be being any other cakes from this Giant Eagle.

Very odd at 730 at night you have to go in the exit. There was no signage saying to do so I felt Iike I was walking in after they closed but the sign said they were open till 9pm.

Shout out to this store. It is always clean, shelves are stocked and workers there are hard working. They are basically the opposite of their competitors across the street (Meijers). They have empty shelves, store is dirty and usually 1-2 registers open at most.

The service here is terrible. The cashier Lily needs to re-evaluate her attitude. The self weigh machine was not working so it was best to go to the actual register rather than self check out. She then proceeds to say "or you could just weigh it yourself" as if she was speaking to herself. Mind you, the machine was down. She then continues to complain to the bagger on how tired she is working 6 days a week at 48 hours (I guarantee you aren't)... boo hoo hoo Lily. Find a better job and attitude. Just go to self checkout because the cashiers are rude.

The Amherst team at Giant Eagle is hard working, friendly, and helpful. I want to say I appreciate all the opportunities Amherst Giant Eagle supports employment for Ohioans with disabilities. Great store great employees

Bobbie in the bakery did such an amazing job on my daughter's birthday cake! I only wish I could post a photo of her masterpiece!

Giant Eagle is my favorite store. It offers a clean, well-stocked environment. A little pricey on some items their weekly specials are really good.

Beware of purchasing retailer gift cards at Giant Eagle at this time; they have a glitch in their system which immediately drops the balance to zero before you ever have the chance to use them. I've purchased a gift card for Home Depot and Target, $100 each, over the past month and both were zero balance. When I tried to straighten this out, all they told me was "there's nothing we can do about it".

For the pharmacy. I understand a customer-facing position can be hard but the rudeness of the technicians is astounding. Whomever was working 10/29/20 at the window at 9a was incredibly irritated and rude when I needed to update my insurance. Will be switching to Costco. I have already switched my grocery elsewhere and this was the final nail in the coffin of a once great supermarket.

Aysen salmon, farmed anti-biotic free coho salmon. We were buying it at Eagle for months at $7.99 to $9.99 a lb. It's an excellent product. So, we saw in the Eagle ad, that farmed coho was for sale for $5.99 a lb! I went and picked up a side of the coho for $5.99 a lb. We prepared it and took a bite and it was just disgusting, dirty, spoiled tasting and the color was actually running off it and it had a plastic after taste. I checked the label, not Aysen. Given the Eagle pol

I came into Giant Eagle tonight looking for some squash. Didn’t find the variety I was looking for. Although the store smelled pleasantly of cinnamon... it did not take away my disgust for the produce section. Molded squash in baskets for sale, molded watermelons out on the produce stands. I decided to forgo the produce and thought... roast chicken sounds good. I went to the prepared meals section and I found roast chicken packaged on 10/3 (it’s the 7th)... nothing on the s
