“Usually, the Hyde Park post office is great with helpful, friendly people. Sometimes they're really understaffed, though, and the wait can be 15+ minutes, especially during the holidays. Often hard to guess if a trip there is going to take 3 minutes or 20 minutes.”

“I come here to do all of my USPS errands. The people who work at this branch of the USPS are extremely friendly and willing to help. They have even let me use their packaging tape on occasion, no charge. I don't think this office deserves the low rating it has, as my experience here has always been overwhelmingly positive.”

“I went here to initiate a shipment for an eBay sale. The one close to my house had closed, so I drove to here. I stood in a line that was well expedited; everyone was treated with kindness; and this was my first Ground Advantage shipment in a while (I mostly buy on eBay), and the staff was more than helpful in helping me to get it moving. “They have always been attentive to my son an I. We have gotten a po box an now get our packages threw this office so they are not stollen. They know us and start getting our packages together before we even get our yellow card up to the counter if they are not with other customers. Some of our packages are odd like the 10' roll of paper i needed for my studio and they never gave us a hard time over it. Everyone I have met at the counter has always been very kind to us. I have seen customers actingout, it's not the best neighborhood, but yet when we get to the counter afterward they are still very friendly despite their previous encounter. I have renewed my box and am happy to keep using this location.”

“I've been a regular shipping stuff through this specific USPS, and my experience is solely based on shipping records via media mail in person so take it with a grain of salt.Staff there are amicable and never come off rude or antagonistic. I have shipped over 100+ items ranging from small to large and heavy packages, and have not had any issues with any lost or damaged media. Furthermore they are very helpful in answering questions and giving advice on packaging and shipping, which has helped me when it came to international shipping. A lot of the more critical reviews (and frustrated customers I've had the pleasure of hearing in the location) seem to focus on more procedural aspects that are a part of their job rather than staff going out of their way to irritate customers.”

“I’m embarrassed I don’t know her name. She’s been so nice to me over the years. Often doing extra little things I know she doesn’t have to.To the folks complaining… you should only know what it was like when the battle-axe that was there before her commanded the “shop”. Now that was dreadful. But with the workload, and the nutty customers with ridiculous demands, I guess I could understand her vitriol.However, the day that (I promise I will learn her name) took over, life in Clifton Gaslight improved 100%!I watch, and know that running that post office by oneself is a daunting job. I for one would rather put up with “mail lady” number 1. than lose our Neighborhood post office. But since mail lady 2 took over, quite a few years ago, our post office is nothing but a lovely addition to Ludlow Ave. I’d miss her terribly were she to go.”
“Have lived in two different neighborhoods serviced by different carriers from this location. Our carriers, Nyda and Moose, and their subs have always been fantastic. Any time we have to come into the office for anything, the staff here are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Even when there is a long line, they move things quickly. This is a great branch!”
“If making delivery DO NOT follow GPS. Soon as you exit make the right on Findley and take to the end. Turn left you'll see entrance gate straight ahead. Go thru and around building to man door by dock 12 to check-in. ( On photo blue dot is check-in/ red pin is entrance gate.”
“I arrived about an hour before they opened to find the lobby door unlocked, so I thought it'd be a good sign that they'd have a self-service machine to drop a couple of packages in.No such luck. It's left open just for those who have PO boxes. So, I came back an hour or so later after running some errands nearby & went to the window.Service was quick & friendly. Hopefully my packages get to their destination without issue.”

Both the workers were efficient while being friendly and informative. This went along way in alleviating people's stress about their taxes and their time. The employees handled it well and just walked away from them. But these days scary things are happening and I guess going off-peak hours is best.
