2842 NE Sandy Blvd, Portland“I could not believe I was actually in Portland. Incredibly fast and friendly service. I was expecting to wait a few days but the gentleman cut and drilled my order before I could even get my credit card out. Thanks for keeping my popcorn machine running for a bunch of hungry Scouts!”
“What can I say? It's our friendly neighborhood Ace Hardware. They are always helpful, friendly, and great for asking for advice on projects. My roommate and I come here all the time to pick up various things we need for various projects. My last trip here I picked up an iFixit electronics repair kit to mod my handheld game system, and previous trips here, we've gotten the usual things like sandpaper, and paint, all kinds of other things. They've got a pretty good selection of the the usual assortment of things that you'd expect from a neighborhood hardware store. And it's very nice to have them so close, so that when working on a project if we need something, we can just hop on over as they are just a few minutes from the house.”
“Joe helped me out with a single nylon washer. My hand controls on my Van came apart while I was driving. When they were put back together a nylon washer was left out making it hard to push the brakes. Not only did Joe install the washer for me, he also loaded my wheelchair up. Our Country could use more Joe’s like the one that works here.”
“Always able to find what we need at a reasonable and sometimes better price then the big box home improvement store and the service and knowledge of the employees is so much better as well”
“One of our new favorite places in Portland. Like a museum where you can buy things on display. The main guy's passion is infectious. Ask him about the T-shirt on the wall above the front desk.”
“It truly feels like that one hardware store in a small town in the middle of nowhere, where everybody knows everyone. They're super helpful and very knowledgeable. I have never walked out of there empty handed. They always have what I need.”
“Our cabinet contractor recommended that we connect with Cheryl Boss for guidance on our kitchen cabinet knob and pull hardware and sinks. The options & selections were great & to be honest a bit overwhelming but as per the recommendation, Cheryl was great. She interviewed us for what we were after, helped us narrow our selections and giving us options to meet our needs for budget and timeline & we love the results. Thanks to NBH & Cheryl Boss for the support.”
“Winks is the best hardware store in the city. 5 stars every time but once, and I write this only so Winks can know and improve: i needed one stainless steel screw for a piece of hardware they sell. I went in to buy it, grabbed the door hardware sample they have on display and was able to point to the exact screw i needed. But for some reason they refused to back it out even the tiniest bit to match the screw. It was very weird and unusual for such an awesome and helpful store. They sold me to wrong screw three times that week. I eventually had the right diameter and threading but still too long and had to hacksaw it down at home to make it fit.By far the best hardware store in the city in terms of selection (for what they sell), quality, knowledge, and customer service. Just that one weird experience that felt like I was in the twilight zone.”
“I had so much fun exploring every nook and cranny of this store. A friend of mine told me that I just had to visit Hippo Hardware on my trip to the northwest. I wasn't even looking for anything but ended up picking up a couple of cute little things for the house. Now that I have their website address I'm tempted to make some upgrades! Very cool place to lose an afternoon.”

7609 SE Stark St, Portland“From the moment you walk in the smell of fresh cut wood permeates the air. Love having this store nearby for supply runs, and we're glad they're still around.”
“Best prices in town! Please support this business. This guy charged me $20 for the nuts and bolts I needed. At home depot same order would have been over $100. Crazy how affordable this place is!”
“This place is AMAZING!!!!! We were looking for a new kitchen sink. Our installer told us that Clancy Supply would have it or could get it ASAP. We headed down there and talked to Melinda. She is great. They didn't have the sink but she checked with someone and they had one in their Eugene store but would take about a week. $700+. We told here we would shop around and get back to her. We called the same store that she had, not realizing that was the one that Melinda called and they said they had one in Eugene blah blah but $800+. About that time Melinda called us and said she found us one and we could go pick it up $399. Not the same brand but a good one. They were on sale. My husband asked Melinda how they get paid if we don't get it from Clancy. We don't she said we just hope you pass us one to others. If you live in the Portland Or area check them out before you buy. My next purchase will be a toilet and some bathroom sinks and believe me we will buy them there. THANK YOU MELINDA at CLANCY SUPPLY on Ochoco St., Portland , Or”
“The absolute best community resource I've used. We just moved to Lents and were a bit strapped for cash after buying a house, and this tool library was (and still is) a life saver. The volunteers are friendly and helpful. I hope this place stays here forever.”
“This is my local hardware store and I have visited a great many times. I fix a lot of things at old buildings and I'm constantly needing to find unusual parts. The staff here is very knowledgeable and some of the older guys always have good answers for me. The younger guys are pretty knowledgeable as well, and if they aren't sure of something, they always try really hard to figure it out with me. Many of the workers here know me by name and have been working there for quite some time. I highly recommend it here, except for parking. They should do something about that right parking lot. Still gets 5 stars though!”
“I had an LED light for my houseplants that suddenly stopped working. I brought it in to see if they could fix it.They were super knowledgeable and friendly and figured out what was wrong with it. I just needed to replace the AC adaptor cable. They didnt sell it there but told me where I could find it. Also didnt charge me a dime! 10/10 will go there again. I've been to this location several times before and the staff has always been very knowledgable and willing to go the extra mile to help me get my project done.”
“Every time I'm in home depot trying to flag down an employee while they avoid eye contact... I wish I was here instead.Great shop, don't buy your tools anywhere else. They even do repairs.”
“Worked with Dave who helped me pick out an amazing Saw Stop table saw! Excellent service and helped answer every question I had buying my first table saw. Free delivery as well to my house was an added bonus!”
“I’m across the street so I’m biased but this shop has helped me finish so many projects and helped me find exactly what I needed. Support the local independent guys that are a significant part of the community here in SE Portland. Prices are fairly equal to the corporate places too, I love this shop.”
“I haven't any services performed by Blue Mountain but I certainly appreciate businesses that offer advice for struggling DIY'ers like myself. A phone was answered and a constructive, helpful conversation was had. Used to be the normal and seems few and far between these days.”

8058 SW Nimbus Ave space 6-g, Beaverton“I would like to say a Big Thank you to Todd Vogel who responded with a quickness and kindness to my review. And to Alan for the help inside the store today !! Thanks again and I will continue to do my business there !!”
“Service and friendliness might outweigh the selection of items found inside, but I recommend trying this family-owned business rather than starting at a big box store.”
“I highly recommend this place! Highly knowledgeable and extremely helpful! They went the extra mile to please this customer - thanks Fred for all you did to get replacement casters on my camera stand that was threaded with impossible to find threads!”
“I've been helped at least three times at this establishment with my chainsaws and every time the technicians handled my problems expertly and for a fair price. I highly recommend them.”
“I was trying to repair our oven door and there was an incredibly stubborn screw that would not budge. I brought the door to Beaumont Hardware and two employees tag teamed it for a good 45 minutes, working on it until they had succeeded. They charged me nothing for the wonderful help I received. Can't say enough good things about my experience. This place has a true neighborhood feel. I will come back here frequently for my hardware and home improvement needs. Thank you!!”

15957 SW 72nd Ave, Tigard“I brought a couple of 4' x 8' sheets of plastic in to be ripped to 34" wide. Even though they were busy, they accommodated my request (at no charge) and completed the cuts in less than 10 minutes. I highly recommend TAP for their expertise and superior customer service.”
“So right before that snow / ice storm I was looking for a 4 prong cable for the generator and I saw there is one in stock on the website. By the time I got there it was gone but I have asked the staff and they called the other store nearby and they had it available, placed on hold for me and I’ve got what I needed, on time. And I have ended up using it too!Not the first thing I am buying there. Thanks to the staff of this store.”
“What a great selection of things that I didn’t think I still needed.... the guys are there Great, and they work with you and they are some nicest people around and I’ll continue to do business with him as long I’m in in the area”
“Ace hardware always stands by their products AND has phenomenal customer service-I purchased a Vornado carbon air purifier a month ago that emitted a burned plastic odor as soon as I unboxed it. They generously switched it out for a new one that was not defective even though they are technically not returnable. I have been very happy with the second Vornado unit. Thank you!!”
