Just wanted to say a special thanks to clinic staff for help with a border collie we found on the road without a tag. It was a late Sunday afternoon and all shelters and county dog services were unavailable. We were unable to keep him until Monday. Clinic staff very helpful with locating his chip and attempting to contact owners. Phone disconnected so they did supply us with an address in an apartment complex. Story went on quite a bit longer but we finally located owner. We are thankful that the clinic was available on Sunday and willing to help.

I cannot express enough how kind, gentle, honest, caring, and understanding this vet clinic is.When my heart dog, who was an old Belgian Malinois, had a very rapid decline in health, I brought him here and they saw him immediately. I warned them that he was vet aggressive and very protective of me, and they were extremely understanding and let me handle what I appropriately could like weighing him and putting the muzzle on.After his exam and testing, the doctor talked us through everything that she had found, and let us know that his situation was looking very bleak. I deeply appreciated her honesty with what she recommended and she also let us know what his care options would be. She said that while treatment could be tried, her advice was to euthanize him because he was done fighting, and “ doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who wants to spend days at this clinic getting tested and operated on”. I agreed with her wholeheartedly through a lot of crying and she was so gentle about the entire thing. She let us say our goodbyes, and gave us whatever time we needed with him. Both my best friend and my sister were able to drive 45 minutes to come say goodbye to him, and they did not rush us at all. They let us be with him and gave us the option to not be.When I went to pick up his ashes about a week later, the receptionist remembered him and was very kind and sympathetic. His ashes were given to me in a very beautiful wooden box, and about a week later, I received a handwritten sympathy card from them.I am so deeply thankful for them, for their transparency, for their genuine care, and truly cannot recommend them enough. I will never go to anybody else if I find myself in the same situation. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to the receptionist, the veterinary technicians, and the doctor. Thank you for being so gentle and caring, and for easing the pain of the heartbreaking situation.

We suddenly and unexpectedly had to put our golden retriever Dexter down in the early morning hours of February 3. All of the staff was very accommodating during this difficult moment. And the doctor gave us adequate space to be able to come to our own conclusion how to handle the situation. They were also great to Dexter during the other times we had to take him in. You will be taken care of if you need to take your pet here and they will treat your special friend as if he/she is their own. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

My dog was not feeling well at midnight, they took a look at him and gave me some advice since I’m not financially stable. And they gave me a can of dog food to help with my dogs upset stomach.

Well, I HAD a good experience here until last night. Actually, it’s been a month and a half of Lukey not receiving proper medical treatment. This is an 18 year old malti-poo who was brought in due to a dog attack. It was an awful attack that unfortunately Lukey had been through before. I was expecting the same level of care as the last time. I don’t know if it’s now poorly run or money is a driving force but I don’t want ANY dog, especially elderly dogs to go thru this pain again.I have NEVER heard of an emergency clinic with ZERO humans or animals in the lobby but a “12 hour wait”.PLEASE dont trust them with your dogs during this wait. I don’t want to see another dog with a dislocated shoulder and fractured leg in 3 places be sent home with NO treatment…. TWICE! Vet said “the leg isn’t the problem” well he was very wrong. This poor dog has been dragging around a fractured leg (in 3 places) for a month! I’m upset. I’m confused. I feel like if we had just done x-rays like I requested he would be okay. And now he is too old for surgery and I just have to watch him slowly suffer. The next morning I called to have his records sent out to a new vet. I have no intention ever bringing an animal back into this place. The receptionist was SO rude and refused to let me talk to someone else who could help me. It seems if you speak up for your animals they get very upset too. After telling them I wouldn’t be back they sent out a letter from the owner stating although it “might be their fault” I should find another emergency clinic to go to. And that’s fine. But, I think a call from the owner Jonathon so I can explain all the ways I felt Lukey was not given proper medical services. Why would you not want to know what parts of your business is failing its customers? Anyway, Someone named Dr Warren keeps calling and apparently she handles “ALL Of the owners calls”. She is extremely condescending and took no responsibility for lying to me for 8 hours about Lukey being next in line to see a vet.I don’t know what mess is going on there all I want is a phone call from the owner. Oh also when Lukey finally got an exam the vet tried to talk me out of X-rays and said it was physically impossible for his shoulder to be dislocated. 50 minutes later she walked back in and confirmed Lukeys shoulder was, in fact, DISLOCATED.My dogs are like my children. Having an elderly dog sit in a kennel for 12 hours is unkind. He was also sent home covered in dried urine. Read the bad reviews-they have all had similar experience. ???

If you have a Pit-Bull do not bring them here. I would give 0 stars if I could. I brought my dog in yesterday 1/29/24, because I was told by a staff member to bring her in right away. I got there at 8:45am and sat in my truck and waited with her until they called us into a triage room at 12:45pm, and told me it shouldn’t be long. Then at 1:45pm someone came in and told me 10-15 minutes and I waited for 2 hours before going to the front desk and asking how much longer it would be. They told me other pets were arriving in more critical condition, which I understand, and then finally asked me if she wanted any food or water. We proceeded to wait until nearly 5pm until the Doctor finally came in. My dog barks and growls at everything. She barks at cars pulling into my apartment complex, so that’s what she was doing when they would knock on the triage room door every time to come in. So obviously she was going to bark, why knock on the door in a vet? The Doctor acted completely terrified of her, and when I stated “she won’t bite you” the doctor said “well I don’t know about that” as if I was unable to advocate for MY own dog. She has never in her almost 6 years of life bitten someone or attacked someone. The whole time that the Doctor was in the room she was acting with an attitude towards me because I was upset about how long we had been waiting and because my dog was barking and growling. With an attitude the Doctor said “well I can’t help what comes in.” Don’t forget they told me to bring her in right away. She never once tried to build any kind of relationship with her or even treat her like she wasn’t “aggressive”, didn’t even try to muzzle her to see if she could do anything. They wanted to try and do a clean catch urine sample, but the clean catch stick is big and bulky and freaked my dog out even more. Which I get that’s not on them. She has a lot of anxiety, but we had also been there for so long my dog was over it. We went back into the room and the Doctor wouldn’t even try and touch her or do anything because she’s too “aggressive” and “obviously she’s not going to let me touch her”, she didn’t even try! They told me to take her into her normal vet and get her fully sedated, along with telling me if I didn’t get this treated she could die. I then waited another hour just to be discharged. After being there for almost 10 hours, I went to the receptionist and asked how much longer it would be and that I had been here all day and I shouldn’t have to wait another hour to be able to go home after they did nothing for her. The receptionist gave me so much attitude and was stating she had my stuff right here and was just about to come in and asked me how I wanted to do this. If she wanted me to have her come into the room or…. which was a stupid question alone as I had been standing right in-front of the receptionist desk and was wanting to check out. I got my bill and it was $232, they charged me $125 for an exam fee when the doctor wouldn’t even look at her and when I asked why I was paying it, she said by law they can’t give me any medication without having and exam. There was no exam!! So they were only covering themselves by law to give me medication? The receptionist said to me “well when you have an aggressive dog there’s not much we can do for you”. Funny that every other place I’ve taken her into always manages to work on her. She’s not aggressive!!! She was just nervous. I paid the bill because they obviously weren’t going to do anything for me only for the receptionist to throw my receipt at me and continue her attitude, like I had no right to be upset. She had also just came in for her shift and had not been there all day like I had been. So clearly they had been talking about my dog and how “aggressive” she was. I had the absolute worst experience here and will never go back. $232 and I don’t even know what’s wrong with my dog, but she could die?? Ridiculous.

We had to have our dear German Shepard put to sleep after 14 years. His hips and heart gave out quickly and we knew it was time. We brought him in on a Sunday morning and the staff here were so kind and understanding. They perfomed the services we needed quickly and efficiently, and with great care. Our beloved boy felt no pain and passed in our arms peacefully. Thank you so much Emegency Vet Clinic of Tualatin.

I came to them to help my dog cross the rainbow bridge. They were amazing! They took me straight back to a non-exam/clinical room and gave us all the time we needed. So grateful for the care we received.

Our family's beloved young male cat -- vibrant and healthy in apparently every way -- passed away very suddenly today. My son and his girlfriend took his little body to the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Tualatin to see if they could help them understand what might have happened. Unbeknownst to us all, it is apparently not uncommon for young male cats to develop blood clots and die suddenly, and there’s nothing that could have been done to prevent it.The staff were very kind, very supportive, talked them through what probably happened, charged them nothing, and sent his sweet little body home in a cardboard cat coffin, so we could say our final good-byes.This is not the first time they've helped us through the death of a loved one with kindness and grace. Recommended 1000%.

The other emergency vet clinic kicked me out. I went here and got treated so much better here. They examined my cat and told me she was fine (free of charge)

All about money. Was quoted a complete different price for my cats blood work. Go to check out (before they gave me my cat back) and they charged me way more dollars. I was so distraught about my sick kitty that I just wanted to take her home. They also lied about me refusing to leave my baby girl with them overnight. I couldn't afford to leave her overnight. So I basically spent 500 dollars for blood work and meds. My girl was basically paralyzed but they said just give her the meds and call your regular vet. I really am disgusted with this place. I despise them to the core. I had to end up putting my kitty down and I had to borrow money to do that but up to that time, she had to suffer because this place charged me so much money. If u love your pet, do NOT take them here. It's a money grab. They have no heart

It's never a good time when you end up in a 24 hour pet emergency hospital for a sudden, life threatening operation at midnight on a Sunday. Despite all of our anxiety, the Tualatin Emergency Care team was wonderful and methodical. Dr. McKay performed a lengthy operation to remove a foreign object that had lodged in our dog's digestive track and was blocking everything. She called us before the surgery with a calming manner and called us right after the operation at 1:30am to confirm all was successful and our dog was resting, in good spirits. Our dog's had a fantastic recovery despite a 10 inch surgical incision. One other emergency group quoted us a surgical price that was double what the Tualatin center quoted. Not that money was the object at the late hour, Tualatin was just closer. If we ever need to, we'd go back there in a heartbeat.

My 15 year old, blind and mostly deaf dachshund had his face swell up on Saturday, and by the evening he was barely moving. He has abscesses on both sides of his upper jaw. We took him here on Saturday night around 7pm, and they said there were 2 pets in surgery and he wouldn't be seen until 1am-3am. We left him overnight, and I called at 8am on Sunday to see if we could pick him up. They said he would be seen next and they would call me. By 10:30am, still no call, so I called again, and again they said he was next. I called again at noon, and they said "he's somewhere near the top of the list". He had been there 17 hours, scared and in pain, and they didn't even have the decency to look at him yet. I immediately went to pick him up and bring him home. We took him to our normal vet today and he's doing better after our veterinarian putting him on pain meds and antibiotics.Shame on this pathetic "emergency veterinarian" for leaving an elderly, disabled dog in a crate for almost a full day without being seen or treated. The worst veterinarian experience I've ever had. Appalling behavior by people that are supposed to care. I hope to never have to go back, but with so few options for 24 hour vets we may have to eventually. I really hope not though.

We called about our cat having a potential blockage after eating some rubber material and were told that because of the severity of the situation that our cat would be seen immediately. When we arrived they then told us it would be another 6 hours before they would even do anything for our cat. After the 7 hour mark that had not done anything and told us he was no longer puking. Probably because they most likely didn't give him any food or water because after he returned home and tried to eat again he returned to puking.
