Such a wonderful place to visit! Learned so much about Jimmy Stewart, especially his military career, which I didn’t know was so extensive. Saw one of his films in the small theater that’s part of the museum. Afterwards, we drove by the house where Stewart grew up, just a few blocks from the museum. Overall spent more than four hours there. A great experience.

The Jimmy Stewart Museum is something that is raved about within Indiana County. I’ve never known much about who this man was, but after visiting a learned a lot. i enjoyed seeing the awards, white house letters, and posters that were made. With it being located on the side of Philadelphia Street, i felt almost rushed because i didn’t want the meter to run out of time. Due to me being there for work, the receptionist let me and my coworker into the museum for free, which was a very generous gesture. The receptionist gave us a small historical rundown as well as telling us where everything was located. the museum itself has a pretty cheap gift shop with cool stuff inside.i wish it was a little more accessible though. Philly Street parking isn’t always the best so look forward to walking to the building if needed.

Went to a city locally to pick an eBay purchase. Realized we were close to Indiana and we made an impromptu visit. So very cool. You can really dive into all of the captions or busy yourself with the artifacts alone. So much info! Saw a painting from "Harvey" with his rabbit. Could THAT be an original from the movie? Ironically "Harvey" be on TCM tonight and I can't wait to see it again after all of these years. Thanks for a fabulous Saturday afternoon visit! And thanks to the woman nderful volunteers who obviously care so much ..

If you like Jimmy Stewart this is the museum for you. Before I got there figured I would spend 45 minutes to an hour there. Wound up spending 2 1/2 hours there. Museum has much information regarding Jimmy Stewart's life and movies. They also have a small theater where you can watch a biography of Jimmy and they also show one of his movies on a weekly basis. The woman who checked us in also told us some very interesting stories. Sorry I didn't get her name.

Very unique and inspiring place with an amazing history! Who would have thought that such a great actor was a Princeton graduate and Air Force general!

Jimmy Stewart is a life long favorite actor. The museum covers his whole life from his childhood throughout his career. We were met by a museum docent who explained the experience we were to expect, very nice and helpful. Also the gift shop has a great selection.

Awesome museum, but there are a few pieces that don’t not belong in the US WW2 section. One is ammo belt pouch that goes with Russian Mosin Nagant Rifle, a wood rifle stock that belongs to the Russian SKS or a clone of the SKS, and an empty crate 7.62 ball ammo. The last two came out after WW2. When I asked the staff, I was told it was donated by another volunteer. These items need to be removed for they are from the wrong country or era and unpatriotic.

This museum has been in our list since we moved to the area four years ago, but we just barely made it a couple weekends ago when I had some work to do in Indiana. What a fun museum!! We weren't familiar with many of the movies he was in or frankly how many movies he had been in, but I grew up watching it's a wonderful life and my father was in the air force and always had a lot of respect for Jimmy Stewart. Lots of cool artifacts, stories, and memorabilia to see. Glad we finally made it! It was well worth the visit!

A work trip to Indiana, PA was the perfect excuse to stop in at the Jimmy Stewart Museum. Finding parking was a breeze and navigating the elevator to the third floor has plenty of signs to prevent confusion. $12 for adults/$11 for students and I believe kids under a certain age were free. We came with our two little ones which meant we had to move through the exhibits in a bit more of a hurry, but I think this museum had tons of neat artifacts and histories that I wasn't familiar with or aware of. It was fun to see different trinkets and honors and props. I think this place is definitely worth the stop if you're in the vicinity.

We love Jimmy Stewart, so getting to go here was a really great experience! The staff was extremely friendly too! Sadly they said not many children go through anymore. Take your kids and show them what a man with character looks like!
