I have been coming to H&R Block for over 10 years for tax preparation. The tax pros are very professional, experienced, and thorough. I always feel confident that I am in the best of hands working with my tax pro, Bob Gazdacko. He does an excellent job and he provides me with good advice about the options available to me regarding my taxes. He is very meticulous and dedicated and experienced. I look forward to working with him again in the future. He is truly outstanding!

The staff here is very friendly and professional. Unfortunately, there were numerous errors with my return, which could have cost me over $2200 if I didn't point them out. First, my preparer forgot to enter my dependent care expenses and missed $1,200 worth of credit because of that. My preparer was about to file the return before I asked to review everything and spotted this mistake. Second, they missed the fact that the early withdrawal from my IRA was for a first-time home purchase, so an extra $1,000 was mistakenly added to my total tax liability. [To be fair, my 1099-R incorrectly shows a "1" in the exceptions box, but they knew that the early withdrawal was for a first-time home purchase because I told them. Also, there are explicit instructions on the IRS instruction sheet for Schedule 4 in case a 1099-R incorrectly shows a "1" in box 7, which tells me that it occurs frequently enough that H&R should have double checked that box with me.] Third, my preparer assumed that I had employer-provided health insurance coverage for the whole year last year. My employer does not even offer health coverage, and I did not carry my own last year because I thought the individual mandate had been repealed which I explicitly told them. Turns out that doesn't become effective until next tax year, but I have health insurance now so it doesn't matter. Anyway, H&R listed me as having coverage the whole year last year, so I would have ended up cheating the IRS out of nearly $2,000 if I did not spot this mistake. I noticed the missing dependent care expense credit before my return was filed, but unfortunately I did not spot the early withdrawal exception, or the health insurance mistake until after they filed my return, so I had to file an amended return, which they did for me without charge. I asked about H&R's "100% Accuracy Guarantee" and they gave some excuses about the 1099-R box being wrong (again, something they should have asked about), and the dependent care expense being spotted before the return was filed, even though I was the one who spotted it. I have been filing my own returns for years and decided to try a service this year to see if it would save me some time. Ended up being a huge waste of $372 for error-ridden service. I'm still giving them two stars instead of one because the people really are very friendly, and I did get an apology for the inconvenience, and I didn't feel like they were being dishonest. It would be nice though, not to have to pay their fee since there were so many mistakes, and I could have done the return more accurately, faster, and for free by myself. Do yourself a favor and double check your return after filing with this office.
