“Avie’s is a fully stacked, all season, ski/board/sports outdoor recreation shop. It has everything you need for winter sports. Specific to winter sports, it offers services like tuning, repair, and adjustments of skis/boards, rental & leasing programs, and a plethora of winter items to choose from.
I’ve been skiing seasonably, and now more consistently, for 10+ years but still don’t own my own pair. I got a pair of end of season rental skis for a great deal but after skiing in CO and talking with some experts, I became fascinated and curious of the tech aspects as well. This is where employees Barry & Alex come into play. Barry only started skiing 4 months ago and is sending Blacks. His buddy Alex started skiing at 5y/o and started snowboarding at 10y/o. Both are very knowledgeable and have, pretty much, tested all the skis in the shop so they know which ones offer a smooth ride and can help guide you in the right direction. I have a better understanding of what the tech specs (numbers) mean and I’m extremely appreciative of their help.
If you ever go to Avie’s, I recommend being curious, and striking up a conversation with either of these fellas if they’re in. Definitely worth a chat. Thanks for the insight and the ski wax!”
