I, too, am forced to write a bad review about Regions. I have been a customer for over 25 years. Never had a bad check, never overdrew my account. Recently, I was encouraged to use their Zelle payment system -- I have a landlord who wanted me to pay him using that. However, when I tried to make a deposit using Zelle, the fraud department in Regions not only stopped my payment (NOT because I didn't have enough funds in my account), but they locked me out of accessing my online account! I had to spend an hour on the phone to try to sort this out, only to find out they couldn't and I had to go into the branch. I felt like I was being treated like a criminal, and received no real help in getting things sorted out, no apologies for their inexcusable behavior in blocking my small payment and making me look bad to my landlord. I am seriously considering closing my account and finding a bank or credit union that is more customer-oriented. Seems Regions has become too big to care about customer service. Think twice before you open a personal account here.

I open my account with Regions Bank in Florida and I am told that my account will always be with that branch in Florida. I do make larger wire deposits that are certified funds but they do not release the funds for 30 days. I am told this is bank policy. I also have an account with another bank in Tennessee and they credit my account with these type deposits same day. Very poor customer service.

I'm pulling my checking and saving accounts with Regions Ntl. Bank (formerly AM South Bank) after over 17 years due to their inability to solve problems in a timely and efficient manner. Last year I had 2 instances where their online banking system twice (2 different occasions) made a duplicate payment to my Bank of America credit card causing many checks to bounced. These were monthly payments to BOA at well over $1000. Unfortunately, after spending hours on the phone with both Regions and BOA, the problem was never solved - they blamed each other - I finally cancelled my BOA credit card. This time Regions sent me an email that their was some fraud on my account causing my account to be frozen. Once again, I spent hours online and in person trying to reset my password and finally, after telling them that if they didn't get it fixed I was going to pull my account, coincidentally, they called me back in an hour and walked me through resetting my password. The very next time I went to use my new password it locked me out. Again, I tried to follow their prompts and change my password 3 times, spent 30 min. waiting for a fraud person on the phone only to be told that I had to go to my branch, and then another at least 30 min. with the branch mgr. who walked me through the same process that I had just done my self several times only to be told that the only thing I could do was go to a private tech to have them see what the problem was. I'm hoping to find a bank to can solve their own IT problems that they create when they're setting up their system. I was told that this problem was caused because none of their corporate offices had people working in the offices due to COVID because it wasn't safe. I guess they've found it safe to have the local offices open so people can open accounts, makes loan and other financial services but not take care of their customers after they get them. I would think if they have branch offices open, they should be able to open offices with Covid precautions set up so that their customers that use their online services can be assisted when problems occur that can't be solved by their branch managers. The blame goes to the REGIONS CORP. OFFICE not the branch - they need to start correcting this situation at the top. THE END!

Because of the smaller intimate location and setting, this branch soon became my favorite location to bank. Best tellers ever! Friendly hometown yet professional service

I have never met so many RUDE PEOPLE in One PLACE!! The first Banker, whom open our account, made many mistakes. He was to busy worrying about going to lunch. He didn't even order checks or deposit money....Great Banker! This Bank will suck you dry with their fees, even when you have money!!

Thanks Regions Bank. Just got your letter today that you are closing my accounts in retaliation for filing complaints when you wouldn't change my address--real professional!! This bank is horrible. Stay far, far away! It took me more than a year to get my address for my Regions Visa corrected in their system. I submitted the address change online, over the phone, via mail, and even went in a branch once, but they continued to send it to the wrong address! I even tried to talk to their fraud department and they think it is OK to send my statements to the wrong address and don't care! Finally, I ended up filing a complaint with the BBB, and they finally fixed the address, then closed my accounts in retaliation.

Your local branch opens at 9am and yet all other banks in the area have drive through open at 730am and the branch opens at 8. All this is doing for your business is driving people to other banks that offer the same services if not more incentives with far less hassel if I'm trying to get banking done before work. You might as well close up shop and go strictly online, that's basically the service you're offering by opening later than all other competition in the area.

Everyone was very helpful at that location. I was an out of Towner without an account and they worked with me on wiring money out of state.
