New at the Assembly Food hall and the customer service is superb, which is rare nowadays. The mac n cheese is awesome. The BBQ beans are ok, but not traditional beans. The pork shoulder good as well. They give generous portions esp for being downtown. Will def go back.

Couldn't wait to try this place, and was extremely disappointed. We ordered the Diablo, and it was ice cold. The Mac and cheese was very dry and also cold. The pulled pork was some of the driest bbq I've ever had. I don't know how this place stays in business with excellent bbq choices such as Martins and Edleys around.

I got the brisket sandwich, which was barely Luke warm and the whitequeso Mac and cheese which was also not hot and very dry. The sauce was the best part of the whole meal and it barely covered the top of my sandwich. I left a lot of the sandwich uneat due to the fact it was very dry without any sauce. Not worth the $20 and they don't even accept cash???

Pulled pork was AMAZING! My mac and cheese was a little too al dente though. I shouldn't be plucking it from my molars. The guy taking my order was very kind, very sweet, and I would come back here and order the pulled pork with other sides. It seems their other location has ribs, not the food hall location though. Enjoy!

We try a new restaurant every time we come to Assembly Food Hall and HoneyFire BBQ was our latest one. We came here this past weekend before a hockey game and it was a great and extremely filling meal. We all had the brisket sandwich and 2 of us had the coleslaw and one had the mac and cheese. The brisket is delicious and had a nice amount of pepper on the crust. The coleslaw was also very good and complimented the sandwich well. I hadn't tried the mac and cheese, but my father really enjoyed it. We also tried the brisket and queso and we were shocked at how much brisket was heaped onto the the queso; it was about 2/3rd meat and 1/3 queso, which was wild. Service was decent and it was a nice lunch overall. We would definitely recommend stopping here for the brisket.

The service was very quick. We tried the brisket queso. It was really good. The only thing missing was a little bbq sauce on it. Other than that it was good and a nice price.

Probably the absolute best place for food in the Assembly Food Hall. The portions, the price, the staff; all incredible. We ordered the brisket nachos to share and we still couldn't finish them all. They give you a healing portion of chips and load them up with beans, brisket, queso, and all the toppings. Every chip had toppings and everything tasted excellent. It is just an order up style restaurant and you sit where you want in the massive food hall, but that doesn't take away from the food itself. Our friend ordered the chips and Queso with brisket and even that was a lot of food! We spent less than $20 for the nachos and a drink and it was well worth it! We probably won't eat anywhere else now when we go downtown!

One of the saddest brisket I've ever tasted. It was so dry I felt like I was eating jerky instead. The chicken was good. The pull pork was also very dry. The sides Mac n cheese and corn pudding were good though. Would not recommend here if you want to try Nashville BBQ. Go to jacks bbq, food there's so much better.

Food wasn't great. Queso Brisket - Bbq was extremely dry and chewy. Most of the chips on the plate were stale, and for $13 I wish I would have gone elsewhere. This was my first visit so I can't say if they'd always be like this, but not a great first experience for sure.

My mom and I visited for a day and walked through the assembly food hall. We could smell the brisket smoking from down below and followed the smell to this place. I ordered the Diablo Jones sandwich (their spicy option). I was so happy with the sandwich, that I ate it all in one sitting (something I never do!!!) The ladies serving the food were at first a little on the "burnt out staff" side, until we started being nice and appreciative and they opened right up and were such lovely, lively people. The ends of the brisket were a little tough but still really good. And that pulled pork is absolutely devine! For a place located in a food hall, it is definitely top notch. I wish I could take more sandwiches home with me. We got our food to go because we didn't like the cafeteria chaos

I don't know how this place has such high reviews when it is so meh. I mean, if you check my reviews they are mostly 5 stars. I always want to love a place. And the pictures of this BBQ I saw here before going looked SO GOOD. I got the combo with brisket and sausage, baked beans, and "queso" mac and cheese. There was nothing "queso" about the mac and cheese unless you count that it is in fact the Mexican word for cheese. The baked beans were actually great - will give them that. The brisket looked like it would be super moist, but was super dry. The sausage was better than expected - though I really expected the brisket to be the star. And while I normally like BBQ that doesn't NEED sauce, well, since they smothered the sausage in sauce I figured I'd ask for a side of sauce just in case. I was first told there was an upcharge for BBQ sauce. Seriously? At a BBQ joint (and not a dry rub style joint), you want to charge for sauce?? (She relented and agreed to squirt some sauce on my tray). And then they don't give cups of water - so you'll pay $3 just for some water. $30 all in for a really mediocre lunch. So, fellow Yelpers, just trying to help you out here. There must be better BBQ around here.

Visited Oct 20, 2023.Came to Assembly Food Hall to find something to eat around 5PM Friday, before attending a concert at Bridgestone. As my party was walking around the food hall the line for HoneyFire was long but moving quickly. I heard good things about this place and wanted to give it a try. HoneyFire is located inside of AssemblyHall near Hōru Sushi Kitchen and Hattie Jane's Creamery.HoneyFire did not disappoint! The signature beef brisket was amazing! I would order it with a side of white queso if you like cheese. The sandwich alone was already good, nicely flavored beef and heedlessly self-indulgent.The red sauce can be a bit much so maybe ask for that on the side. Me being a cheese lover, the queso sauce just elevated the eating experience a little more. I basically inhaled the sandwich. I love veggies therefore the Parmesan green beans was good. The Mac and Cheese my friend ordered lacked and needed more flavor. The woman at the cashier was not so great, the gentleman preparing the food was great, and food I ordered, also great. There isn't much to tell about the ambiance other than they share the hall with other vendors. Their spot in particular is near the liquor bar and live music stage. There's a parking garage near by which fees do vary in price based on local events for the day. The further away you park from the actual building the cheaper it is.

HoneyFire is my new favorite BBQ joint. The sandwiches are huge and unique and so good. The corn pudding, which I would normally skip but encouraged to try, was delicious. The peanut butter banana pudding is so worth the calories. Lastly the staff were happy and attentive. If you’re looking for something beyond your normal smoked meat bbq, try this place, it’s amazing.

HoneyFire is a good barbecue spot at the Assembly Food Hall. Got the brisket plate with 2 sides. Half the sides were sold out by the end of the day so I recommended going earlier.
