“Love to see moribund churches being repurposed into something beneficial to the community!!! When a friend had a play here, we jumped at the chance to come and show support! The place is still very much looking like a church on the outside (the sign is just a banner for now), but the space is very large and there are numerous bathrooms, which are both huge pluses! Our event had a bar and food for sale. The sound system was awesome! There were many volunteers to help, but getting in and getting tickets needed a bit of work. Overall we had a great time here & recommend the space for all sorts of events!”

“After a long ride, it was a very peaceful and convenient place to stay when away from home. The room was very clean and very comfortable. The staff Victoria was very kind when calling to reserve and helpful with anything I needed also gave a few suggestions of areas I may like visiting for my weekend stay. She’s amazing we need more people with the customer service that was provided by her . In the evening Brandon with the black button was a doll with assisting me with extra bedding I needed. Very cool guy he’s very sweet and professional I loved his helpful attitude. With that kinda of treatment I felt more than valued as a guest/customer both 10/10. I recommend staying here. I felt very safe inside and outside. The complementary breakfast was great. Smells fresh and the staffing is awesome. We will be back! Thank you for being a great part of such an awesome weekend.”
“Attended a birthday party there. It was a nice atmosphere. The restrooms were kind of far from the seated, eating area. The staff wasn’t friendly but they weren’t rude either. It was very hot in the building and the cake was melting. The floor was dirty and you could tell it was old things but it was stained. I had a good time but I wouldn’t go back just to go.”

After a business dinner when drop off got awkward, parked instead of dropping at the door, a tall biracial man stopped at the entrance door to wait for me to dismiss the man dropping me off. I appreciate that more than I can express. The staff is friendly and the renovation is fresh.”

The owners did all they could to make everything run smooth. The owner gave her advice and expertise to make our party perfect. Everyone had such a wonderful time at this beautiful hall. Having stayed recently at an alternative extended stay facility which was not very nice or clean inside or outside, despite being in an upscale neighborhood, we were pleased to see the rooms and lobby at Candlewood Inn Suites/Laporte were surprisingly attractive for the price. The coffee bar, essentials store, patio with electric barbecue grills, and a heater tower were welcome amenities. Thank you, Miss Cindy and Miss Diana for all of your assistance.”

“Fun course! Slow play on a Sunday afternoon with no starter. The course was very fun with many tall trees. The course was generally in good condition. A few greens and tees had rough spots, but most were in good shape, as were the fairways and sand bunkers. The front 9 was much more secluded through the woods and the back 9 had houses on both sides of almost every hole. It was worth the trip for my group!”
