Nautical Dog & Schwartzy's Cat Cove- Pet Market & Dog Wash
5102 Main St Suite B, WilliamsburgCan’t say enough great things about this place. The staff is always kind & helpful, you can tell they care about the well-being of all pets & it shows. You can also tell their products are meticulously chosen based on the ingredients & we appreciate knowing that what we purchase there is healthy for our dogs. Their self-serve washing station makes bath time SO much easier for us. Koozie even thinks bath time isn’t so bad at Nautical Dog ?

Clip-It-Up
4514 John Tyler Hwy, WilliamsburgRecently moved to the area and it’s hard to find a place that grooms cats as it is… This place is fantastic and we will most definitely be back! I have a 10+ year old kitty and she was treated wonderfully. The staff are so sweet and although it’s a 8-930AM drop off with a 5-6PM pick up, it’s completely worth it and I know my kitty is in good hands. She came home groomed very well and very happy.

Godspeed Animal Care
102 Tewning Rd, WilliamsburgMy 8 month old kitten had been lethargic for 3 days (over the weekend). I figured I could call the vet we had already brought her to to be seen and diagnosed. Much to my surprise that was not the case. After calling 5-6 other vets in the Gloucester VA area and being told if I wasn't a current client they wouldn't see her, I looked for other vets. I found Godspeed on the internet. Called them and they were so caring and wanted to get my kitty feeling better. We were able to bring her in the same day and Dr Rob saw her. He was very concerned and wanted to make sure she would be feeling better. That evening Dr Rob called to find out how she was doing. The next morning a staff member called to find out her status. I've never had a vet to call not once but twice to see how she was. I will be changing yo Godspeed for all my kitten's needs.

Middle Plantation Animal Hospital
7316 Merrimac Trail, WilliamsburgWe switched vets to here after our other raised their prices exponentially. I wasn't expecting to be in and out for our service in less than ten minutes, but aside from that surprise everyone there was so helpful and kind. My dog being from a rescue is pretty afraid of being in buildings for some reason but multiple women came out and were trying to win her over with patience and treats. Thank you to the whole team today for treating my puppy as I would treat her.

VCA Merrimac Animal Hospital
628 Penniman Rd, Williamsburg2024-02-11It was very well laid out. I hate having my dogs in the waiting room and being crowded by another person's animals. You can't be sure they are friendly or contagious. Please use a leash on your dog. They will loan you one in a pinch, but you should have your dog under full control inside their facility.I have not used their emergency services since they stopped their overnight coverage. Talking to others that have gone for an emergency during the day, they have been happy with the service. The staff take the information and have you in an exam room pretty quickly. Lab results are done in a timely manner, and you often get a call with the results to go over any possible issues and answer questions. I have not experienced any delays between recommendation for a test or lab and their ability to conduct it. Blood work, x-ray, were straightforward. My dogs aren't afraid when with the vet tech and don't fuss or pull away.I do miss them being able to hold a dog overnight during an emergency. Having to move an injured or sick dog is upsetting for both humans and dogs.I feel all my animals have received great care at this facility. Other than when I see the price of prescriptions, I have always been glad during and after a visit.2024-03-22Arrived 10 minutes before the appointment. Quickly checked in, got the weight of my dog. Doctor had finished a bit early so I and my dogs went into a room a bit early. Tech took Extra and pulled two stiches. My dog came back and she was ready to go. As this visit was part of the original quote, so no charge. Easy Peezy Lemon Squeezy

Casa Pearl
722 Merrimac Trail, WilliamsburgSimply spectacular! The queen and I visited Casa Pearl over the weekend for a birthday dinner and we're already looking for another reason to visit.Low key, casual dining, with an incredibly upscale service and menu offering. We went with the hush puppies, golden salad with fried oysters, baked clams and fish tacos. We aren't normally raw oyster people, but the server talked us into trying them and we weren't disappointed! We got 6 on the half shell - 2 from each variety - and wanted more! Great flavor in every dish. Perfect size for sharing between us, with just enough room left over for the key lime triffleThis is full on Zeppelin-level rock and roll - come and enjoy the wonderful selection, I guarantee ? you won't be disappointed.

Spoke + Art Provisions Co.
3449 John Tyler Hwy, WilliamsburgDropped by for lunch because a band I always enjoy was performing 12-2.Parking: Didn't count. I arrived early and had no trouble, but by almost 2, the lot was full. A sign explains how to find parking next door with a bit of a walk.Kid-friendliness: I was on their large covered deck. Several kids were there, and it was easy for them to get to the adjoining yard to play.Wheelchair accessibility: Straight shot, no steps, from their parking lot. I made it in with my cane with no trouble.

The Virginia Beer Company
401 2nd St, WilliamsburgA small, brewery in Williamsburg with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a mix of beers available on tap and in can. Most of their experimental beers are in a can, so you do need to buy one to taste it. My husband, brother and I decided to share a flight and a smoothie sour. The beer is pretty darn good. I loved the kolch and California common. It was clean, crisp, and had great flavor. The smoothie sour was more sour than smoothie in my opinion. They also have snacks and sometimes a hotdog stand outside.

Berret's Seafood Restaurant and Taphouse Grill
199 S Boundary St, WilliamsburgThis is a busy spot. We had great food and fabulous service. Wish we had gotten the young lady's name because she was truly awesome. We had to add a guest at the last minute and the host was not as accommodating as I might have hoped. The restaurant wasn't too busy at an early lunchtime so not sure why he had to make an ugly face. The gazpacho and shrimp salad made up for the strange welcome and the freshly baked berry cobbler was an extraordinary way to finish.
