Terrible customer service. Rude cashiers that automatically assume the worst of people upon entry. This is my third visit and my last. Each time spending, and ready to spend more, until I'm hit with the extreme attitude at the registers. No real Christian feel for this shop eventhough that is how they advertise themselves. Save your money and time and stay home.

I stopped shopping here because I had a really unpleasant experience with two of the employees at the Lincoln location. Amanda and Alicia were very unprofessional and were racial profiling me while I shopped. The environment they created during my last shopping experience was hostile, it was racist and it was hurtful. I was shopping and they kept following me mind you I’ve shopped here many times and this has never happened. They kept watching me, I had a pile of yes clothes and asked them to put them to the side for me and I was asked to grab a cart to store it behind the counter as I walked to grab the cart Amanda yelled Hey so loud & angry that everyone in the store paused because she was frantic and panicked. I realized she was yelling at me when I turned to see why she was yelling and it seemed like she thought I was going to run out with the clothing when I went to do exactly what she asked. Amanda realized I was grabbing a cart and didn’t apologize, didn’t say anything she just stood there. I was so frozen with rage that I just put the clothes in the cart for her then went to try on my other items. I walked to the dressing room Then Alicia the other employee working that day had the audacity to follow me to my dressing room and she wanted to check all the clothes I was trying on for tags which has never been done to me except for that day. I did call her out and told her “I’m not here to steal from the UGM I shop here all the time and never have I been questioned to have my clothes reviewed for tags. So she didn’t check them after that. Alicia had no idea how to respond she knew I was bothered and I did give her attitude because of course two white employees were the ones giving me a Mexican girl issues. I told Alicia, Amanda just yelled at me and now you’re following me to the dressing room. She was so nervous and really said nothing. Alicia and Amanda need awareness training, they need bias training, racial profiling training on how not to racial profile. Especially with the type of store they work at. If they treated me like a thief I can only imagine how they treat and make others feel while shopping in a store that is said to support people without homes. Racial profiling is racist behavior and it happens at the UGM on Lincoln. I was an avid supporter of this store, I would shop there at least once a week. This happened to me in March and I have not returned to this store since and probably never will while Amanda and Alicia work there. I have been meaning to write this review but couldn’t put into words what happened because the fact that I even have to say something so WHITE people could do better at a store for the community which they serve is exhausting. Because It’s simple really just don’t be a racist working at a store where diverse populations of people shop especially if you plan on yelling at everyone you “think” is going to steal.

Unfortunately I can not recommend. After scrutinizing a tag on a pair of jeans, the cashier sent it to the back to have a "manager" look at it. The manager never came to the front, never looked at me, never engaged me. Simply stated over the radio that they felt the tag had been altered and would not sell to me at that price. YUGM's inability to have tags that can't be altered is not my problem. It is an operations problem of YUGM. The lack of engaging me, the customer is YUGM's problem. Being accused of altering a tag, by proxy, is an embarrassment to YUGM and YUGMs staff. Fix your operational issue of tagging items and come engage the customer. Leaving a policy decision to a cashier is a poor business practice. Subtly accusing customers of altering prices of items YUGM receives for FREE is silly. YUGM needs better operational practices. YUGMs prices are already NOT thrift prices.

Everything was gorgeous and the pricing was not too bad. That was 2018-2020. Now, it's getting a little too pricy especially with the broken items that are still for sell somehow, but still needs fixing in order for it to typically work. And then also saying that I was not able to use the bathroom because it's only for emergencies and not to the public? After seeing a beautiful Hispanic elder come out of the bathroom, she tells me that I needed to go tell the woman up front. So I do, and I have been trying to use a restroom for about 20 minutes, she ultimately told me no. I wonder why to be honest. Hopefully not because of the color of my skin or because of how I dressed. I was well mannered, I handled every item with gentle care, I spoke properly and was very genuine and she still told me, "No. You just can't, I'm sorry..." so I turn around to return to my shopping, when I really shouldn't but hey, who cares that your customers are single selectively, hand picked, between who you actually want to let use your restroom and who you actually don't want to let use your restroom...

She could of said we close in 5 minutes so thats what you have to shop. A guy was getting out of his car as we were getting back in our,so they lost two customers. Their loss i guess
