Didn't have a chance to workout in this gym but the facility had all updated equipment the restroom locker area was was very clean and well maintained. My son's travel basketball team has drills here a couple times each week and I was very impressed with this facility, mainly due to the friendly and warm welcome I received from Raquel at the front desk who was very knowledgeable in regards to everything pertaining this facility had to offer. She even gave me the option to watch my son or workout while I waited. Unfortunately, I'm about to have my 8th back surgery so I had to decline her her sweet gesture. But I can guarantee I will be back to this facility for my physical therapy all in part because of RAQUEL making feel like I was already a member hereGreat Job Max Fitness!!! She is a KEEPER!!!

Cameron is a top notch employee. He made myself and my friend feel welcomed to the gym. He took us on a tour and showed us all the amenities the gym had to offer. Definitely will be returning to the gym in the future!

Great gym to drop in at. $10 bucks for 1 day and $25 for the week. Equipment is older but does the trick and plenty of space. Staff was friendly and the members were helpful when asked questions. Will definitely be back!

If you are looking to join this gym you must know that Max fitness will treat you nice to get you to sign an agreement to join with them. But if you want out is almost impossible. They will make you go through their website instead of resolving there when you sign in for the very reason to make it hard to cancel .I tried to cancel many times with no success, through the website and in person. I was told they would take care of it and never did .It was when COVID hit and it was unsafe to expose yourself. To this day I received phone calls of dept collection companies saying I owe a ridicule amount of money. There are other good gyms out there that don't force you to stay or have a away out in case you need to.Be safe everyone.

I cannot get this gym to leave me alone after canceling my membership 3+ years ago and repeatedly telling them to stop contacting me. When I was a member, the gym was mediocre with heavily worn equipment and charged a premium rate solely because it was the only gym in the area of its size. I also noticed as I went to write this review that current employees are leaving five star reviews to try and bolster their reputation. Your money is better spent at Crunch, Anytime Fitness, or Anywhere Other Than Max.

This club is a complete joke! Two of my friends both tried to cancel back in the summer and found out recently they both owed 500$ + in debt because the staff doesn’t do their job. We called Max to try and understand the situation and they were no help at all. A previous manager told one of them they could cancel at anytime but apparently this isn’t the case. The previous manager also gave me and 4 others a feee year membership because we referred others to that gym. New management found out a few months later and canceled our free year due to them saying “we had no idea of this”. This gym is nothing but money hungry and cares nothing about the health and safety of their members. Highly recommend Crunch of Tiger Iron over Max Fitness.

I love Max, Katie did a body scan for me and my bestfriend and she was so informative and helpful. I love the atmosphere and equipment provided. I wish the sauna worked better but other than that, no complaints!

Extremely expensive for absolutely no reason. Most of the machines are not new, which wouldn’t be an issue if the membership weren’t so expensive. Another HUGE problem I have is paying $25 a month for “mid” equipment and i can’t even bring a friend for free more than once. Like are you serious? Crunch is $10 and a friend is free every single time. On top of all of this, it’s $100 to cancel if you want to leave (unless you pay for 18 months). What’s even dumber is that if I got an injury/disability that would in-able me to work out for the rest of my life, I’d still have to pay $50 to cancel. This gym is a worse moneygrab than your 20k/year private school. Do not recommend unless you have loads of spare cash you literally can’t spend on anything else. Also, when I signed up the woman who signed me up didn’t even mention the cancellation fee until I had already signed… (maybe it was right before I signed, I don’t exactly remember, but I do remember she said it quickly and quietly almost like she didn’t want me to hear it). Oh and one more thing - Upon joining and bringing one or 2 friends ONE TIME, they had no problem contacting them nearly everyday trying to get them to sign up, however when it comes to cancelling your membership don't expect the same attitude. They make it purposefully more difficult to cancel/suspend your membership, like you can't even just cancel or suspend it, you have to be approved... I've waited 6 days so far for a follow up on cancellation now (finally I just had to call them again) and my account still isn't cancelled yet. Id recommend this gym to absolutely nobody.

Been a member for about 6 months and I have loved my experience here so far. Everyone is very friendly and the music choice is always solid. It’s also never too packed during peak hours like many other gyms I’ve been to. It has all the equipment I need to hit everything & I’ve rarely noticed equipment being in need of repair.I also like working out at night, and Curtis (who works during the night shift) has helped me several times during my nightly workouts whenever I need anything. 10/10 gym!

The best club in Auburn! Great staff, brand new equipment, 30,000 square footage, sauna, childcare, personal training and more. Every staff member is dedicated to making sure your health needs are met! Even so, they give each member a free body scan and fitness consultation. I’ve worked at a gym in previous years and nothing compares to this one. It’s a gym community full of life! I hope that some of these reviews do not discourage the chances of anyone wanting to try this gym. The gym has transformed over the past few years and is under new management. The General Manager, Brady Mora, is the best of the best!

Good luck getting a response when you want to cancel you gym membership/contract. Contracts about 4 pages long… read it before you sign. Don’t bother using their website to cancel, they don’t respond to your email(s). The gym itself isn’t terrible, but as someone who has graduated and moved far away from the gym, it should not be a nightmare trying to cancel your contract. Only way I can put it is this gym has a terrible, almost predatory contract that will upset many people when it’s time to end it. Wouldn’t recommend this gym, and would instead highly recommend you spend your hard earned money at Tiger Iron, which is close by to Max and has much more equipment and space.
