I came here initially for a flat tire which was supposed to be a straight forward job, but sadly I experienced mistreatment at this location. I’ve had issues in the past here but this time was far worse. The service rep lady told me that both back tires needed to be replaced or else my car alignment would be off so I agreed. Now I feel like this was not a truthful statement and that I was scammed and received used tires even though I asked and projected to pay for new tires. I was called yesterday to pick up my car with supposedly “new tires” dating the 19th week of 2022. I am still shocked that they expected me to drive off with what are clearly not new tires (I have attached photos). The service rep told a man with glasses to detail my tires but he arrived at most 2 minutes later with only recklessly spraying water on my tires as well as the side of my car. The tires looked exactly the same when they dried. I expressed how I was not given new tires and requested that my original tires be placed back on so I can go somewhere else. The sales rep told me that this could not be done because they’d be liable if something were to happen given the low tread on my tires. Instead she asked me if I would lead my tires overnight so “brand new” tires could be ordered which I was extremely uncomfortable with but reluctantly agreed to given that my original tires would not be put back on. The sales rep told me that new tires would be ordered and that pictures would be taken of them arriving in the morning since she sensed my mistrust. I was also told that that job would be done by 10:30 am. I was not called until 1:42 pm today. I requested for the pictures of the new tires arriving and this was not delivered to me when I came to pick up my car today. The reason that was given was that the service rep lady had a “doctors appointment” which she did not express to me yesterday. Although I value physical and mental well being first and foremost, I believe that if I was truly respected as a customer, what was promised would have been delivered. If she did have an appointment, her resolution that she proposed in order to alleviate my discomfort could have been passed on to someone else. Overall, I was lied to and mistreated which is something that I commonly experience given my physical qualities. I am certain that an order for new tires was NOT placed on my behalf and that the SAME tires were just washed since the year date of the current tires is exactly the same “19th week of 2022”. Also, the tread count is 9.6 instead of the baseline tread count of 11. Even with all the hassle, I was still expected to pay $455 which was only an $100 discount from the original price. Lastly, I was told that my car would be detailed both inside and out because of my troubles. This was not completed and my car looked exactly the same upon arrival. Why say things that won’t be done? Overall, I was disrespected as a young black woman and I am extremely disappointed. I do not trust this company nor do I recommend them. I came to ford downtown because of the close proximity to where I reside and since I had an emergency of which I believed would be simple and straight forward to handle. Overall, I would have saved time and better treatment if I went to firestone. I was fearful that my tire would not make it given that the store is further away. This was a very stressful experience and I was clearly not taken seriously as soon as I arrived.

Napoleon, my sales person, was exceptional. He was an extremely attentive listener, focused and very personable in helping me find my vehicle (23 Explorer). He was also patient and knowledgeable, which helped the process as well. If you happen to consider Stivers for a vehicle, I cannot recommend Napoleon enough!

Let me tell you about Stivers Ford. Which should probably be named Stealers or something to that effect. I bought a car from them that they wanted to charge an extra 2k something dollars for inspecting it and making sure everything worked like a car should when you sell it and then slapping a CPO name on it and giving it a short warranty. That, however, isn't the bad part. Apparently, when they do this 160 some odd point inspection they don't check to see if they headlights or keys are working properly because as I was driving the car on my test drive weekend, the passenger side headlight was out. Upon noticing that the headlight was out I was requested to bring the car in to have it fixed. They alsp told me they would have my paperwork ready before I got there. Approximately 5 anf a half hours later, they then put me in the most gas guzzling thing they had because in a lot full of cars, this 90k car that I would be responsible for if anything happened to it, was the only thing available. It gets even better. I was told it wasn't the headlight, it was the ballast. So I guess proper mechanical operation of all parts isn't patt of this CPO inspection. Weird. It gets even better. I was told, The part is only in Memphis. It should take one, two business days tops." This was on MondayHere I was on Friday, late afternoon at that finally getting a text that my car was ready. I was also told my car would be detailed and filled with gas multiple times. Upon receiving my car back, finally. Five days after I purchased it, it had less than a quarter tank of gas with it, one of the keys didn't work and there was stuff all over the car inside and out that I could clean off with my spit.If you have any sense in your head and want value for your dollar, go buy a car from a anywhere before you visit here.

Stivers operates a mobile service through which a mechanic comes to your home instead of requiring a drive and wait at the dealership, at least for the safety recall repairs I needed. I didn't realize that they offered this convenient service at first. But, after clarifying, Sue and Jorge were very accommodating and were able to have the repairs completed in less than an hour. I really appreciate their diligence and understanding. Very pleased!

Welcome to the home of no integrity auto sales. I spent several hours dealing with a sales person (Eugene Jones) about a van that I wanted to purchase. I was very clear that I wanted the van and, after discussing the specifics, started my purchase online. I placed the order, got an order number and then got ghosted for two hours. I kept reaching out saying that I wanted to complete the sale, but only got short answers ("give me a second," a thumbs-up emoji, and the finally an assurance that we would at least get the transaction done before the end of business, today). Eventually, my sales person told me that he had sold the van to someone else. Utter lack of integrity, blatant dishonesty, and totally unprofessional. Want to buy a vehicle? I suggest you find somewhere that has at least an ounce of ethical fiber. This is why used car dealerships and sales people have such a bad rep; because they're bad people.

Our family has purchased two vehicles at Stivers in the last year. The buying experience was superb on each occasion. When it comes to warranty service on the two vehicles, the experience has been challenging. My wife's Explorer had a serious water leak in the rear area. It took three visits to the service department to get it fixed. Between the three visits, the car was in the shop for over two weeks. On one of the trips, we went to pick up the car at the agreed-upon time and the service rep said they needed to keep the car a bit longer because they had forgotten to do half the service we had scheduled. Water leaks are outsourced by Stiver to a specialist who works with multiple dealerships. Some of the delays were awaiting the leak person being in town, and delays in parts shipments but some were due to communication. I eventually was able to speak directly to the leak specialist doing the work and that was a huge help. Information that we had given the service advisor had not been accurately communicated to the tech doing the work. Eventually, the leak got fixed but it was far more complex than it should have been. We were told by the dealership they had a special rig to test for water leaks and then the leak guy admitted it's just a water hose and a car wash. We were asked to bring the car in where it sat for days until the leak guy came in. It would have been far more efficient to have us bring the car in when the leak guy is coming rather than doing without it for days. There simply seemed to be no plan. It's easy to think that our experience was unique. Surely this wasn't the norm with the Stivers service department. Sadly, the same pattern affected another member of our family. Our adult son purchased a Bronco Sport and after a month or so, a rear seatbelt tensioner seized up. This resulted in the seat being locked down and unusable. He goes once for his appointment and they forgot he needed a loaner. He schedules another appointment but is told the loaner can't go out of state so he has to cancel the appointment because he was scheduled to go out of town the next day. The service department said they'd call when they had an opening and a loaner vehicle. About a month and a half pass and his Bronco goes back in for the third time. My wife happened to have her car in for an oil change and asked a service advisor about the status of our son's car. She admitted that it was looked at on the tenth day of being in the shop and that parts were ordered. To be clear, the dealership has provided a very nice loaner vehicle for our son to drive. It ended up taking over two weeks for the repairs to be made. Here's my big problem with the way the Stivers service department seems to operate... I understand supply chain issues and parts shortages. I understand there is a shortage of skilled workers. I understand that they are dealing with more than my family's vehicles. What I don't understand is the lack of open and transparent communication. I expect that when I make an appointment for a given service, the vehicle will be seen that day or the next. According to the Stivers service rep, the current delay between drop off and service is ten working days. Again, parts are scarce but this ten-day delay was never communicated to us when dealing with the leak issue or with our son when dealing with a stuck seat belt. If you have a staff shortage, or inadequate resources, simply communicate that up front so all parties have realistic expectations. To date, our family has taken our vehicles in a total of 8 times for warranty or regular maintenance. Of those visits, the service was completed on time and as promised twice. Twenty-five percent isn't a great record.Again, I understand the unique challenges the dealership is facing but I don't understand the poor communication or their appointment system. Stivers is a great place to purchase but would not recommend them for service if you need your vehicle back in a timely manner.

Bought demo / new truck at Stivers and had 3 follow up concerns. Mr. Gonzalez answered a question and made sure to resolve my 2 other concerns. Not only did I purchase my dream truck from Stivers but Mr. Gonzalez researched my concerns and took care of me after the purchase. Sell a great product and take care of the customer after the purchase; That’s a great experience.

Found a Great Shop to fix my truck if it ever has anymore problems. Stivers Ford is the BEST !!Super nice people in the Service Dept. at Stivers Ford. The Service Manager (Ed Jeszka) was really on top of keeping me up to date almost daily and some days 2 or 3 times aday about what was going on with my truck about what they where doing and when I got my truck back it was fixed correctly, when no other shop that I took it to wouldn't even tried to fix it.If I ever have any more problems I know where to do for sure and the cost of the repairs was really good. I was Shocked !

This was my first visit to Stivers Ford and everyone was so courtesy and the environment was welcoming. I took my 2016 Ford Flex in because my rear camera was glitching and wouldn't work 1/2 of the time. I spoke with Jenny on the phone and she provided me with an estimate time-frame as to how long it will take to locate the problem and fix it. I was pleased to know that Stivers Ford stood on their word my vehicle was in the shop for a week while they performed the diagnostic on it and located the issue. Once the issue was located I received a call notifying me of the findibg and what it will cost to fix it. I was assured that my vehicle would be ready the middle of the following week and it was. Thank you, Stivers Ford!

I'm finally able to write this review. Recently, I purchased a 2023 Ford Explorer from Stivers Ford in Birmingham. The salesman, Thomas Grove, was very nice to deal with. However, due to a lack of communication on BOTH our parts, the car I purchased was not a perfect fit for me. I called Thomas and he went out of his way to help me. I took this vehicle back a couple days later and purchased another Ford Explorer that had EVERY feature I wanted. This was not as bad as I had feared it would be. Everyone, including the sales manager worked quickly to put me in this vehicle and I was very pleased with the service that I was provided. Everyone I met there was extremely courteous and friendly. I definitely recommend Stivers Ford and Salesman Thomas Grove to anyone in search of a friendly, eager to please car buying experience.

I traded a 2021 F150 that was loaded on June 28 for a Black 2023 STX with the 6.5 foot bed that I needed to haul more hay. As I was signing paperwork the salesman said that it had scuffs on the front bumper. Upon further inspection I found a large ding on the driver side door as well.I was told that I could take possession of the vehicle and bring it back for repairs. I did not want to do that because I expected to get a vehicle that was drive off ready that day. I called about the status on repairs this date 07/10 and was told it would be ready at 4 o’clock today and I didn’t know anything about the dent. The financial guy was not very friendly and didn’t explain everything to me like other dealers have. Their vehicles are crammed in a parking lot and so close together they damage vehicles trying to move them. I have traded vehicles with other dealerships in the past and have never had an experience like this. I will never buy another vehicle there again although they did give me a loaner, but this is not the vehicle I want if I wanted a loaner I would’ve rented one. The salesman was nice but he should’ve told me there was damage on the vehicle before I signed anything.
