You can do this! I absolutely love this place! You may be thinking - I would love to get in shape but I am not in enough shape to go to a gym like this. Well, let me assure you... you can do this! We all start somewhere. I started barely able to complete the baseline workout but just after a few weeks of hard work and healthy choices, I can do it.

This gym rocks! As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted by some of the most genuine, knowledgeable fitness coaches around. I can't recommend this place enough. I started Iron Tribe and could barely do the baseline workout. Six weeks later, it is so much easier. No - I am not an athlete. Yes - I needed to lose weight and body fat.

Great coaches who take time to teach you the correct movements, great workouts that push you to do and be your best. Couldn’t love and recommend this gym more! The 6 week challenge was exactly that, a challenge. But it was the best 6 weeks and the best jump start to a healthier self! Coaches know your name and you feel welcomed every day you’re there! My recommendation comes in the form of a Facebook post the morning of the last day of my participation in the 6-week fitness challenge. I checked in to the gym and shared some photos of the previous day. (Photos are of my day not the gym, by the way). "There in spirit. Because my "travel workout" consisted of squatting and pressing this solid piece 10 different times (along with picking up and putting down many other heavy things) over the course of 8 hours yesterday. Every workout I missed this week, made up for and more. Grateful for the proper form learned in class over the last 6 weeks...not to mention the strength gained...that allowed me to be the impromptu 3rd hand to the moving crew I hired. We defied the laws of physics (and Tetris) at least twice. This, after waking at 5:30 to go move, stack, palletize, and wrap 1,900 bricks before the lift driver arrived at 8:00. Got in bed around 4:00 am. Just ask Eric when I emailed him *thinking* I might join the 7:30 PUSH class. Nope. Seems fitting that I would be sore in EVERY place going into my last day. Maybe I'll get some cardio at lunch... #6weeksITF PS - I couldn't photograph myself the times we weren't able to use a dolly so just for context I included two with the helpers to show the activities. Squats, presses, I think there was a farmers carry or three, we definitely did some Russian twists with this, the equivalent to a row, and probably some other movements I haven't learned the names of. (Also, this is a good approximation of how buff I am [feel] since ITF, since I had to duplicate the fellow pictured for the non-dolly lifts. )" I do have this to add: Even though this point I don't know whether I've met my goal or not, I'm giving 5 stars based on the way I feel finishing out. There are pros and cons to every gym. And each has a personality. This one suits mine better than any I've found so far. Best and most knowledgeable coaches (perhaps even within ITF, but I'm biased after spending time with these guys), and a convenient location. Everyone here is very entrepreneurial and each of the coaches is responsible for actually running the gym, which may be an added reason why there seems to be a shared sense of responsibility here. Looking back, I might choose to sign up normally rather than through a 6-week challenge, since I wanted to get fit and health anyway. But at the same time, the regimen and camaraderie of a group probably helped keep me on point, especially with everything that life threw at me during the course: back trouble, loss of a client, gain of two new clients, startup of a side business, and relocation...just to name a few. If you're on the fence about whether this is for you, the 6-week challenge may be for you. If you know what you want and can commit, though, I have no reservations about suggesting you just go ahead and grab a membership now.

I can’t say enough good things about Iron Tribe and the 6 week challenge! The team at the downtown Bham location does a great job of pushing and motivating you class to class and week to week. They promised us at the beginning that if we showed up and gave it our best then we would meet our goals. During the challenge, I lost 21.3lbs. and 9.1% body fat! I feel better everyday overall and have a ton more energy. I’d recommend the Iron Tribe 6 week challenge to anyone looking to jumpstart their fitness! #6weeksITF #IronTribeDowntownBirmingham

I've always worked out in traditional gyms lifting weights and doing cardio when necessary. I got burned out after about 10 years and needed a change. I was battling shoulder pain and knee issues as well. I had always been hesitant to try Iron Tribe because I was certain that the workouts would further injure me. I quit going to the gym about 4 months ago and started eating horribly which caused me to gain weight. I finally decided that enough was enough and saw the Facebook

It's definitely a good place to workout , good place to reach your fitness goals . The trainers are awesome , i mean they focus on you and teach you proper form. The reason I'm giving it 2 stars is that the manager though he's a nice person he isn't completely honest , i joined the 6 weeks challenge. 6 week challenge is a program that is done to reach your target goal which is free at most gyms in Birmingham, The manager told me he's charging people to be committed to the program and that people usually get the money back (500 dollars ) if they show dedication and commitment which I did throughout 6 weeks . Unfortunately I haven't received back anything . If I knew this from the beginning I would've paid 250 dollars at their gym for just one month instead or just join another gym as I'm a student and have responsibilities as well . But again the coaches are very professional and they did an awesome job , it's just the business part of it that got me off

The Iron Tribe downtown is an amazing place to be connected! The overall atmosphere is enriching and encouraging. The community of members as well as the staff are friendly, engaging and uplifting. The workouts are challenging but very rewarding and the coaches are excellent in the way they help individuals in a group setting to learn proper techniques and work to a achieve personal goals. I'm very pleased with my decision to join the Tribe!

THE Trainers are hands on the 28day program is a good start to a healthy lifestyle change the staff is not pushing you to do no more than you can do they take out time to help you advance to the level of exercises you are able to do until you catch up with the other clients..NO JUDGEMENT AT THE IRON TRIBE!!!

Great Gym! After many years of a sedentary lifestyle due to sport injuries I decided to try Iron Tribe. The best decision! Their functional training is great for strengthening the core and balancing muscles across the whole body; which truly helps with chronic injuries. The staff is courteous, professional and always there to help and motivate. Great staff, great people, great sense of community and a great gym!
