Good enough I guess. Very convenient and has been given a pretty good facelift since the last time I visited a pig

I bought some beef spareribs to grill for the 4th. Huge disappointment. No meat on the bones. Looked like the butcher carved all the meet away and then sold the bones.

I SHOP, THEREFOR I AM. Little did I know that there was a Piggly Wiggly closer to my apt. I have been going to the one in Homewood thinking that it was the closest location. Now that I have been to both locations I feel as though I can compare and contrast them both. This one is very large and more spread out as the other one is a bit smaller. I have seen some other reviews highlighting the renovations that have been done to this location. Though I cannot speak on what it looked like in the past, I can comment on how amazing it looks now. Everything has a space and an aisle that it belongs in. The staff is very nice and are helpful. I wanted to see if this location had the Milo's tea that the other location has. As the other location has the extra sweet version, but I managed to find one of the extra sweet ones here and I of course scooped it. The prices are very good here and there is always some sort of special going on. I even noticed a whole arrangement for Christmas/holiday candy which I needed to keep myself away from. Overall, I am very happy to know there is a closer location to my place. I will most defiantly be returning.

As a lifelong customer of Piggly Wiggly, I was extraordinarily disappointed on my trip there tonight to see employees not wearing masks. It's selfish, self-destructive, and within the city of Birmingham, illegal. So why does management allow this behavior? I don't know where this guy's been, who he 's seen, what precautions he has or most likely has not, been taking, and I'm supposed to be ok with him breathing all over my food? When I saw that, I very nearly just left without my items, and really wish I had. I don't see how I'm going to be able to actually consume or otherwise use them around my house. I'm just disgusted.

The renovations are looking great ! I can't wait to see the finished product- currently, the fresh salad bar is up and operating . There's a fruit bar and an olive bar. A few soup options are available as well! I'm not sure when the renovations will be completed but it's coming along really well. The new layout is more of an open concept , brighter and refreshing!!

Great customer service and great selection of wine and beer with knowledgeable staff to help you select whatever you need! Also, free wine/beer tastings on Fridays from 4-6.

This is my neighborhood Piggly Wiggly. I don't come here as much as I should, but every time I come here I can find really great deals in their meat department especially. This is possibly one of the best places for high quality beef. This store is small, but you can get what you need. The staff is friendly, and this location is very convenient for Highland Park and Forest Park residents.

Honestly, for a neighborhood grocery store, it really doesn't get much better. This is my go-to when I'm on my way home from the office and need to just swing in for a few things. The very best things about the Pig? 1) Great selection of local, small-batch, and hand-crafted baked goods, sauces, and snacks. It's almost like a small specialty goods store. 2) Incredible wine selection: and these folks know how to steer you in the right direction if you don't know anything at all about wine. 3) Cheap, cold beer: They sell local beers at a discount. This is the cheapest place I've found to get good quality local beer, and they often have sales and weekly specials.

This Pig is a pretty good grocery. Not my primary store for everything, but they excel in several areas. The craft beer selection is pretty extensive, with prices that are very competitive. There are also a lot of products from local makers for sale. Western is pretty good about this, too, but since they're in the process of closing up, offering local products will set the Pig apart further. The selection of Mexican items is outstanding here. Whenever I am cooking something in that vein, this is where I come with my grocery list. There are hot sauces galore, fun stuff like Mexican sodas, etc. I have never bought meat here, so I don't know how it is. The produce selection is okay, but not that great in terms of selection or freshness.

Oh Piggly Wiggly, where do I start? The chain is a staple of southern grocery and consumer lifestyle, and this particular location is no exception. Walking through the doors under the partially lit neon signs is like walking 25 years into the past, reflected in both the cheap prices and antiquated decor. Daily deals in the dairy section, meats and non-perishables are certainly great reasons to come here, as is the always friendly Wiggly staff. The prepared foods portion of the store is unfortunately underwhelming, filled with cold egg salad sandwiches and microwaveable fried chicken bites. I know it's no Whole Foods, but don't come here expecting to walk out with a ready meal in-hand. The produce and deli meat sections and ambiance could also use a significant upgrade, so I complement my visits to the Pig as needed to Publix or other grocers. It's a great experience for the friendly staff and some discount foods, but doesn't quite meet the needs for one-stop shopping.
