I purchased a Cub Cadet electric lawn mower September 1st and still have not been able to use it due to some defect that Home Depot has not helped me resolve. I called and talked in depth to customer service who advised me to call Cub Cadet who was not easy to get in touch with. Then Home Depot suggested I call the extended warranty company number which I did not have and had to call the store back to obtain that number since I purchased the extended warranty. Then I was told I could contact myself a company in Mobile that Home Depot uses replacement parts since my lawn mower was not charging, and it was thought to be the charger. Mind you, the store never started the lawn mower before delivering it to my house the following Tuesday to see if the lawn mower actually would turn on. They were supposed to call me 30 minutes prior to delivering and did not, and I have no idea how long it sat outside my garage door before I noticed. I went to charge the mower, and it would not charge. I eventually was able to get in touch with Cub Cadet who sent a new charger that just arrived yesterday ( it took 8 days to arrive, and mind you I am still without a lawn mower). I went to attempt to charge the battery, and it will not work. I attempted multiple times to call Home Depot in Daphne, Alabama, was repeatedly put on hold even after being told I would be transferred directly to a manager who then still put me on hold. I feel as a customer who has been without the use of a lawn mower since September 1st and has gone through all the hoops I was told I had to go through with no further help or results Home Depot except a refusal to help that I at least deserve to talk with someone regarding the situation and have not been able to do so. I will not be purchasing from this store in the future and will be leaving reviews elsewhere and telling friends and family about this situation. Hopefully this situation can be resolved soon as I have been now dealing with this situation approx 1 month.

Home Depot lost my business today after two attempts at ordering flooring for me and both orders were lost in transit.I have paid my contractors for three weeks of work without any flooring to place. Today I went to the store to cancel the order and it took 20 mins to get a salesperson. Then, that salesperson didn't know how to cancel an order. He called a manager, who supposedly canceled the order, but the credit was not received in my credit card for over 6k. This is a poor excuse for "how Doers get things Done!" Lowes has much better staff that are more knowledgeable and efficient. Wish I had not ever ordered from Home Depot.

It all starts from the top-down and I blame the incompetent managers at this Home Depot for the dreadful customer service I received at this Home Depot! Just walked to 2 HD employees chatting about something in the hardware isle and wanted to ask them something. They see me standing there eager to ask a question but continue to chat away - so I walked away. Only after I walked away, one guy say "May I help you sir". I waved them off with disgust. I later proceed to the self checkout which is run by the equivalent of Seinfeld "soup nazi" ... an older lady with major attitude- she's condescending and gets pissed and annoyed at everyone. How terrible!!!

I've been a longtime Home Depot customer but since moving, they've lost my business to Lowe's. Customer service is subpar and every pickup order I've had over the past 5 months has been filled incorrectly.

Home Depot delivery service is the worst. They deliver defective merchandise that you would never buy if you were in the store. I ordered 4 bags I fertilizer and one was delivered taped up and only half full.

I went in today, 6 people I counted standing around, could not get help finding what I came for and asked2 different people and both gave me wrong answers, then only one check out open and all those people standing around. I called 4 times to talk to a manager and hung up on every time, this is non acceptable, I am purchasing appliances in the next 2 weeks and Home Depot will definitely not be getting any more of my business!!

Whenever I have a gardening project to do I go to this Home Depot. There is a gal that is usually there in the morning as soon as it opens who is very welcoming and helpful. She knows what plants are there and where I can find what I'm looking for. It took me several days to complete my project and I get to this Home Depot as soon as it opens so I can work in the garden in the morning, each day she has been there at the garden entrance smiling and ready to help. The bonus has been an cold bottle of water that she offers from the cooler (the August heat and humidity is tough to garden in). I've found the plant prices to be better than the other home improvement store and the availability, variety and quality of the plants better too.

Ryan D. was a pleasure to work with. We had stood at the flooring/blinds desk for about 10 minutes waiting to be helped before Ryan walked up and offered to assist us. We had received a call from Trinity but she was on lunch, but Ryan was knowledgeable and pleasant so we appreciated working with him. He compared prices for us between a few different options we had considered, and we wound up placing an order then. Trinity later came back from lunch and tried to railroad her way into the meeting which we did not appreciate. Hearing some of the things she said came off as problematic rather than solutions; we'd have preferred her leaving us alone to work with Ryan. Things that did not matter to us or even pertain to us/our home were interjected into our meeting. We could tell it was annoying for everyone involved. It would've been a more pleasant visit had we been left to work with Ryan alone... Based on his helpfulness and knowledge, we'd come back and seek him out if we need something again. Thanks Ryan!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I have never in my life seen such awful customer service along with lack of taking responsibility for mistakes. To begin with, I paid for someone from Home Depot to come out and measure my home for a flooring install. I proceeded to go pick out my flooring and paid immediately for the project after the flooring was decided on. I was told a maximum of 3 weeks for project to be scheduled and completed. 2 weeks later I finally get a call to schedule my install. The crew shows up a week later and starts all the prep work only to tell me once the carpet had been laid out that Home Depot screwed up and got the measurements wrong and they would have to put 4-5 inseams in one small/square bedroom to make it work. I said absolutely not! The crew left and I called Home Depot and got the run around. They only wanted to order a closet piece which was never the problem to begin with since the carpet was measured wrong and short for every single room. They never sent me inseam layout to sign off on and still have yet to do so. It has now been 1 whole week since this project started and not only have my kids had to sleep elsewhere I have a living room full of furniture with no end in sight. No communication unless I call and leave multiple messages and still no answers. I am in the process of hiring a lawyer today for not only the half done job and lack of communication but for the unwillingness to fix the problem and for leaving exposed tack strips for so long in a home with small children. This job was suppose to be completed in 1 day just so we're clear on that (2 small rooms and a hall). Do not have Home Depot install your flooring!

Well i tried to buy vinyl planking for 475 sq ft. The floor is $3.49 sq ft and labor is 1.99 sq ft. I cannot get a straight answer and i have been to store 3 times. My estimates keep running over $4100 and up. That is over $10 sq ft. For vinyl click flooring.

Employee working in appliances to lazy to get up and help. Associate from another department tried to help. She should be paid what lazy person in appliances makes. But all big box stores are the same.

Came to look at kitchen countertops and gas ranges. No employee to be found to help. We flagged down an employee in another area. She called for help to come, yet still no one showed. Off to Lowes.

I have been waiting to have a new dishwasher installed since Dec 13. The delivery came missing the proper parts in the install kit(which I paid for as part of my order) to install the first time, so they left and sent me to go buy it again saying they would be back the next day. They never showed, I then called to find out what was up and was told they couldn't be back until after Christmas leaving me with no dishwasher for all this time during the holidays. On the second scheduled install, they pulled a no show. I called again and was told they were short handed and would not be coming. Rescheduled for a third time on Dec. 27. Got a call the night before saying they would be here at exactly 10am. Called at 1030 to see where there were and was advised they were aware there was a "glitch" in the computer and it should have said between 10-2 and that the driver would call when he was 30 min away. At 12:30 the driver called saying he was on the way. 1:30 comes and he still is not here. I called again and was told he decided to stop and eat after he called and said he would be here in a few minutes. They finally showed at 2:00 and did not have the power cord on the truck that I paid for. They left leaving my water to the kitchen turned off and saying they would return at 9am this morning. Naturally, no one showed again. Called the delivery company and they said I had been rescheduled again until January 2. I've been on the phone for hours with Home Depot and the delivery company and no one is offering any solution whatsoever. Highly advise you do not purchase anything for delivery through this company.

I love Home Depot when I need nothing and have time to kill. It it the home improvement version of TJ Maxx. One day I lingered so long I was invited to a contractor's lunch thing on the side. It is just a very happy place to wander around and see lots of fun stuff. Needing something is different. It is a bit sketchy but sometimes kills it. Check out is fantastic.

Went to the "Pro Desk" and asked for someone that know about mortar for cinder blocks. Was told there in only ONE person in Home Depot that knows this type of work and he was helping another customer. Asked two HD guys if they could help me and they said they didn't know about cinder blocks. I didn't know it was such specialized work! Waited 10 minutes and still no one to help me. I kept asking the pro desk if they could get someone else? They said no. Finally the guy came up to help me. He told me what bag to buy. It was a 60 pound that was at my head level and toward the back of the shelf. The guy didn't offer to help or move the bags closer to the edge of the shelf. He just left. I couldn't reach the bags and they were stacked on each other. I had to get a cart and stand on a rolling cart to get the bags. One bag broke and got all over my shoes and clothes. This kind of experience gives Big box stores a bad name and deservedly so. I will go to Lowes next time!
