I'm not sure if this location has had a major turnover in employees, but their ratings are ENTIRELY too low. Both the ladies I spoke to this morning were SO helpful. They practically held my hand like a little kid as I tried to figure out how to forward my parents their mail to their new home. They greeted me as I came in, smiled the entire time, and were genuinely just all-around pleasant ladies. Why the reviews are so terrible, I have no clue. They were the sweetest staff of any USPS I've ever been to, AL or otherwise. In an era where no one wants to work and people are basically paid to stay home, these lovely employees, despite plenty of rude customers, I'm sure, were cordial, knowledgeable, and professional. Almost wish I had more mail to send! ?

These people are lazy…. And USPS doesn’t have the capability of printing a label. Super disappointing to know our tax dollars goes to such a lazy, inefficient operation. I had to go to FedEx to print my label (for free) and return to USPS just because that happened to be the return label shipment. I’ll be happy to tell the shipper not to use USPS for my deliveries in the future.

I have the best experiences at this location. The employees are fast and helpful. As a realtor, I send mail a good bit, and this location and their employees -- including those who come to my house daily are so kind!

Pathetic line speed, and you won’t allow someone to use tape to seal a package. Atrocious waste of 20 minutes waiting in line and no empathy from the staff.

The Hoover post office needs an overhaul. I mailed a letter from Hoover post office to Vestavia. It's been 8 days, still not delivered. A gentleman shared with me when he was hired at the Hoover post office, he went in full of energy wanting to do a great job. The manager told him specifically slow down there fella we don't ’t move that fast. HELP!

Got there at 0850, third in line.Opened promptly at 09, no problems for me. But when I looked around, more than 20 people were in line, and only one person behind the counter to help them. And why do the employees always act so sullen?

I order two phone cases, the first one said it was delivered in my mailbox (it usually takes me a week to look in my mailbox, lol lazy) but there was zero phone case. I went to the usps LITERALLY right beside my house they said to come to this one, after waiting in this long asz line she tells me “oh it says it was delivered but the mail lady is running the mail again today she might have just put it in the wrong mailbox.” Lol she said it ever so casually, and told me to leave my name and number but no one had called me. HORRIBLE SERVICE. the other phone case was supposed to come three days ago, they said usps received it but it hasn’t been out for delivery for three dam days…smh.

The Worst Experience I have ever had at a USPS location. They had NO Mail forwarding forms for people that moved to the state of AL. Since I moved, I asked them can we find out which location has one? The answer is no, just drive and if they don't have then, drive again to another location (20 miles away). I waited 20 minutes in line, and the response was do it online, and dont get your coupons to save $ with vendors. INCREDIBLE RUDENESS, AND LACK OF DOING THEIR JOB!! And they loose $6.9 Billion a year, CLOSE THE USPS in America.

Worst ever!! The cashier I worked with today just about refused to walk maybe 10 to 15 steps in the back to get a Priority box. I asked her how much it would be to mail. She refused to answer me. Which is ridiculous. She could have quickly punched it in to let me know. She said I had to fill out the address first then get back in line that was out the door. No sense of urgency to help customers. She had a horrible attitude, rude and lazy! The next customer came up to her window she was overly friendly and flirting with him. She definitely had a attitude with me. Guess I'm not the right color.

On many occasions our postman replied to Amazon that there was a problem delivering an item. Most recently I went to the branch and they tell me that he should have delivered my item and they don't know why he didn't. Of course they are the only delivering service from whom I have this problem. "Government like cats don't bark are not efficient." They should not be in this business because they have not incentive to do well. This should be handled by the free market suppliers only. I have asked Amazon not to use USPS for my deliveries.Very frustrating!

Lake Cyrus resident. Never answer the phone. Packages say delivered and they aren’t delivered till next day. Packages status change to held at post office at request of customer, when this was never requested. Oh I noticed On my ring camera that the trash can was left by the city right by the mailbox so instead of a driver who is delivering mail getting out of the truck she set my mail as pick up at post office. Whoever delivered the mail at lake cyrus 9/27/2021. Talk about laziness. I wish I can call the 800 number and report this but they don’t ever answer the phone either.Next day came in to check status of my packages. RUDE!

Substitute mail woman just threw our package off the back of the mail truck into the street then hit it with her mail truck as she backed up. Needless to say our item is busted. Really?

Bad training and responsibility. Today 8/4/21 we found all our mailboxes wide open. A couple years ago I thought the service couldn't get any worse. I have to bite my tongue and say I was wrong. There is clearly a management issue at this branch.

If I could give 0 stars I would… this is the worst postal service office I ever dealt with by far…. They are constantly delivering my packages to the wrong address, also come at different times, mess up my mail… no one answers the phone at the office either forcing you to make a drive into their office… just all around terrible, not one good thing to say

Driver pulled out in front of me and almost hit me he didn't even stop at the stop sign he was texting and driving black Male man
