The Vestavia location is my favorite. Hoover is great as well in Birmingham, I cannot attest to other locations but Vestavia will treat you right!

I've been going to the OTF in Vestavia for over a year now. Coaches are great, Owner is great, workouts are always challenging and fun. Would definitely recommend going, regardless of your fitness level.

I tried Orangetheory for the first time (1st class is free!) today here and loved it. My right arm and leg are amputated but the coach adapted my exercise and I got an amazing workout. You alternate between rowing, floor exercises with resistance and weights, and treadmill. The class is designed to be bootcamp like to get your heart rate up. We all wore trackers to monitor performance. At the end of an hour I burned ~450 calories (I have a slow metabolism other participants burned ~600). I also had a lot of fun! Although the class is challenging, Jaime (the coach) was very motivating. The class playlist also had great beats to keep us going. The unlimited membership is $159/mo which makes sense for anyone working out 4-5 times a week.I will definitely go back!

I HATE to workout, but since joining Orangetheory, I actually look forward to it. One of my favorite parts of the class is that I don't have to think about what exercises to do - the class is planned, and the trainers do a fantastic job of walking you through each step. Unlike other workout programs and gyms I've tried, I've never been made to feel bad that I'm not at the physical level of others in the class. I am empowered and cheered on to do what is right and best for ME. Because of that, I have actually been able to push myself and perform better than I have before.

I have been going to OTF for about 2 1/2 years. I've had to pause after orthopedic issues but the coaches are fabulous for helping modify the workout to fit my abilities. As an older member I urge folks to give it a try because you can do this workout. If you can't run, you can walk. If you can't walk you can use the bike or strider. The Vestavia branch has THE best coaches and administrators. They work hard to make this feel like a team effort. The workouts are varied and fun-especially when they're over.

Love this place! The workout, the coaches, the front desk staff, everything about it A+++! If you’re in the market for a new gym or just trying to be a healthier you, I highly recommend giving OTF a try.

One of the best OTF locations I have been to! Really big, very clean, and great instructors! The manger, Justin, is friendly, professional and welcoming! I took a class with Courtney, and she was awesome.

The workouts make cardio suck less. Shoutout to Jessie for being a superstar instructor. She pushes the whole class and still checks each individual’s form to make sure you’re getting the most out of your workouts.

Was in Birmingham on business and away from my home studio in Hendersonville Tennessee. Went to this Orangetheory because it was close to my hotel. Irvin the coach was very good and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Studio was clean and easy to locate. If I am in the Birmingham area again, I will visit the Vestavia Hills studio again. Thanks for the hospitality.

Had never been. Went for the first class. Arrived early (over 15 minutes before the class began) but evidently not enough. They require 30 minutes to have you sign some forms and show you how to use a treadmill and row machine (which I have used) so they refused to let me take the class. The prior class had not even left yet. I have been to several different fitness classes (bootcamp, barre, yoga, etc.) in the past and it never takes 30 minutes to be shown around and sign releases. Needless to say I will never go back. The instructor was dismissive and rude about the situation.

I got to orange theory to try my first class 20 minutes early, and they would not let me into the class because I was not 30 minutes early, effectively wasting my Saturday morning. I pleaded with the front desk, as I couldn't believe there wasn't some way to figure out how to tell me about the work out in 20 minutes, but they would not budge. I will not be coming back to this or any orange theory as the policy has always seemed to me unnecessarily burdensome (when trying to squeeze in a work out -- or try something new -- who wants to add 30 minutes to that?), and clearly I was right. Instead, I'll go to other establishments who are more rational about when and what policies they enforce.

I like how the workout is very competitive based. However, you're not just in competition with others but mainly yourself! The idea is to push yourself to do YOUR best. Your best is not necessarily equivalent to someone else's best. The best thing about OTF is that it allows you to actually see your progress. OTF workouts are unlike your typical workout classes! OTF workouts cater to where you are personally and allow you to still get a good workout whether you are just starting out or are a professional athlete! If you're tired of the same old workout classes that treat everyone the same and don't truly challenge you, try OrangeTheory Fitness!!!

I was told on the website to show up 30 minutes early for a class. When I arrived, the elderly woman at the front (Jennifer, apparently) told me I needed to be there 45 minutes early and could not be helped that day. I had come with a friend who they also would not let leave without charging because she had signed up for that class. The fact that a gym needs you to be there for two hours just to teach you how to work out and participate in a class is absolutely ridiculous. I have been a constant gym goer for years, which I explained, and teaching someone how to run on a treadmill doesn’t take an extra 45 minutes. The customer service at this location was appalling and the woman was so incredibly rude! I am shocked they allow her to own it, or manage it, whatever it is that she does.
