By far THE BEST Walgreens Pharmacy in Birmingham possibly the Southeast! They are always slammed, but they’re in a prime location, and everyone I’ve encountered in the pharmacy is patient, and kind! Folks, they are busy! If you feel like they’re rude or coming across as short, look at the job they do. I’m not a pharmacist, never worked in a pharmacy, but I imagine there’s probably a ZERO margin for error and they’re focused on their job and doing it correctly and professionally!

Apparently there is some fancy new nail clipper that is all the talk and all the rage. Courtney and I have been on the prawn looking for it but have yet to be successful. Rumor had it that the mail clipper could be found at Walgreens. Since we were in the area for dinner and dessert, we stopped inside this Walgreens. Unfortunately, they did not have what we were looking for. Overall,the Walgreens is very nice. Tons of space, all the shelves were nicely stocked too. I'll definitely be back.

Pharmacy takes forever. They never answer the phone. I cancel a prescription to fill elsewhere and it is still “canceling” a week later so I can’t refill it. And no one will answer the phone

Cannot speak to the retail store, but I spend a lot of time picking up prescriptions for my older mom and brother with disability. Drive thru is almost always long and slow and prescriptions aren’t always ready when they’re supposed to be. Do not recommend. I’ve also encountered rude pharmacists on multiple occasions, though the techs are always friendly.

This Walgreen’s location is an absolute mess. They hardly answer the phone, and when they do I have been fed competing information by each pharmacist I’ve spoken to. One pharmacist told me over the phone that an Rx had never been sent by my doctor… it definitely had been sent far in advance according to the pharmacist I spoke to the very next morning. They don’t seem to keep up with their inventory at all. I’ve been waiting for 5 days for a shipment that I was told would come in the day I called to refill it. Also… The app apparently has nothing to do with the actual filling or refilling of RX’s or even booking vaccine appointments. I waited for two hours after my appointment time for a booster. Apparently the app and the stores don’t share info? Bizarre. 0/10. The effort to switch to an entirely new pharmacy outside of Walgreen’s has been worth the many phone calls.

Today was by far the worst experience I've ever had with Walgreen. As, I await a call from their corporate office. As well as the Alabama Board of Pharmacy complaint review of Jessica Busby and her partner Megan Sarsfield . These two partnered up against me as an African American woman in a community I've lived in for over seven years. Jessica Busby interfered in a civil conversation I was having with a Pharmacist technician. I asked her not to over talk me and to lower her tone and she immediately abused her power as a person who could deliver my medicine. In short, they assumed I had picked up meds on the 10th in which I didn't. I was threaten to get out of drive thur or she was calling 911 via paper head in the window. I told her to call them because I was about to come in. I simply did not know what was going on until I got inside. The Pharmacy technician who waited on me on the 10th greeted me ,I began talking and Jessica Busby told him to stop listening and he continued to talk then called him by name to come to her and that's when Megan appeared. Both of these hate filled, women didn't know the generic name for the med I picked up on 10th. They treated me as if I was a drug addict even saying they will run the cameras back. I said please do. After , they went and whispered to each other. Megan came back and said I thought that medicine was that medicine and you can come back in a hour and a half . No apology for the humiliation, disrespect, bullying, and abuse of power. Jessica had a smirk on her face the entire time. I will not change my Pharmacy to inconvenience myself. These two ladies will change their attitude or their place of work. Keep in mind they were at fault and I was threaten with the police and cameras. Being pulled. I mentioned going to another Pharmacy Megan said it would be easy to do so. I think it will be easier for meto remain in my neighborhood at my neighborhood Pharmacy. Jessica appeared to be the one under the influence with her actions.

Do not get your controlled medications filled here. They are continually out of a very widely used medication, and there is nothing I can do. I got this rx filled ONE time at another Vestavia location for the same reason. They were out of the medication!! So now I get to hope and pray I don’t go into withdrawals or end up in the ER until I speak to my Dr’s office in two days. DONT GO HERE!

This Walgreens was amazing under the previous pharmacy management. 6 stars!! Macie was the BEST. Since she has left I’ve had nothing but trouble with the pharmacy. The wait at the drive through is 10 minutes at the window BEFORE they speak to you at times. I’ve so often gotten half my order, they haven’t gotten my medication, just one thing after another. Be prepared to wait 20-25 minutes in the drive through. There are a couple of techs that are great but by and large I’m afraid I’m going to have to find a different pharmacy after 15 years there. I even had a pharmacist lie to me about something- which I double checked with my doctor. Walgreens - please review the pharmacy management at this store.

The absolute rudest pharmacy staff and most unprofessional people I have dealt with in a long time. I called to see if I could walk in to get my COVID vaccine here. The person on the phone told me I could as long as I wore a mask in the pharmacy area. I showed up and the pharmacist/pharmacy tech was INCREDIBLY rude. Spoke to me like I was an idiot after I told her that the person on the phone assured me I could walk in. She asked to see which phone number I called and then rudely asked me to leave as they were not taking walk-ins. It was enough to be inconvenienced after an employee clearly gave me wrong information, a whole other thing to be spoken to the way she spoke to me which was entirely unnecessary. I will never return to this Walgreens.

Worst experience as for pharmacy needs. the incompetence is strong with this location. I highly recommend Walmart in Vestavia, they fixed the debacle Walgreens created.

The pharmacy use to be great. Lately the service has deteriorated.. The pharmacy tech are rude. She had an attitude. Not a pleasant experience.

Ordered a spiral bound manual from the printing department, but it did not come out as expected (for example, it didn't have the frosted vinyl cover as advertised.) The staff member tried to give me the pages twice without the binding and wasn't looking at the selections I made at the kiosk. I was picking it up over my lunch break and did not have time to have it redone. I have had much better experiences at other Walgreens locations.
