Had a horrible experience with a transmission rebuild. They lost our original transmission we dropped off and some of the needed connections and parts for the rebuilt trans we received and would be required to have to be installed. The trans we received had the wrong torque converter and bell housing. It was also spray painted terribly including electrical connections which needed additional work (cleaning) before they could be used. We ended up requesting and receiving a refund which we received after b eing cussed at and told to leave. We received a different "core" transmission because we didn't trust them. Sure enough when we brought that core transmission to Porks Torques to continue the rebuild process bur we were told the core which we gave them from Affordable was so bad that they would not recommend using it!

If you call that number, a recording says he is only doing "bench work" right now. I didn't know what that means, so I called the cell phone number in the recording. I thought I might need my transmission to be rebuilt. He said he couldn't do that for me, but he asked about the problem and gave a very detailed description of a much simpler solution. He even said I could give his number to my mechanic down here in Homer, and he could relay the technical details. At no point did he mention money, and he wished me a Merry Christmas.People who are this personable and walk with that kind of integrity are a rare thing these days. If he can help with your vehicle, I have every confidence that he will do you right.
