I stood there for 15 minutes at the service counter completely ignored not even acknowledged with an agent in front of me. Not even I'll be right with you. Zero eye contact. I asked for a basic estimate he refused to give me one. The guy said the best thing to do would be drop off the car first thing in the morning and then someone would be in touch later on. Terrible customer service. I wanted a guestimate to know if it was even worth it to drop off all day. I needed 2 door handles on a Toyota Corolla. No reason to do business here.

Never work here for Uber. They steal your email then your bank account use your money to pay somebody else's deposits and then recharge you and after you pay it all ... You've been taken for 5700. In 2 months for nothing but pennies. Bad bad people work t hertz rentals w Uber. Uber handles the money and then calls me a fraud collusionist after I had to pay all that money over again because they lied and said I didn't or the bank did, well both we were always on the phone with the bank.

They just didn't have my reservation (booked a week ago), said we'll call you later today or tomorrow when your car is available. What kind of rental place is that ????

This location rented me a lemon. It completely broke down and had to be towed. Weeks later, I’m still trying to get a refund. The location manager called me and asked for a chance to make it right. I always try to give others the benefit of the doubt and reserved another vehicle. The cars I was shown were beyond disgustingly dirty. In the end, all three vehicles had mechanical issues or were otherwise unable to be rented. I left without a car. There were no apologies. The location manager even tried to process payment before I had a vehicle. I was not offered any compensation for transportation back home. Still trying to get my refund as well. They blew me off to help others who arrived after I did.

I left my bag in the car. Hertz doesn't even have a valid number associated to this location and customer service hangs up the phone. Before I contact the BBB and make a complaint, I will leave this review to see if I can get a response. When I try to report a claim to lost and found this location isn't even an option.

I want to leave this review for the corporation of Hertz but there isn't a good way to do that directly, just like there isn't a way to directly do just about anything except fork over a lot more money than advertised tenfold. Nothing about this program is transparent or straight forward or honest. I feel horrible for the employees at every hertz location that has to bear the brunt of irate and disgruntled and traumatized customers day after day, open to close. I have rented over ten different cars with uber/ lyft hertz and avis and other smaller boutique companies in different states. Hertz and avis should be ashamed of themselves for how they conduct business behind the veil of this corporation. The tesla program is the biggest scam for the consumers who desperately are looking for another outlet to make a living. If you want to drive Uber nonstop for 7 days a week at least 8 hours a day to turn a marginal profit, by all means go for it and let me know how you feel about existing as a human being in society after driving as much as you need to to make this worth it for you. I have over 15k rides on uber, and thousands of doordash, instacart and lyft trips. PLEASE TRUST me on this, do not rent a car for uber from Hertz. They will traumatize you if you do it long enough. Most of the people who drive uber and lyft have absolutely no clue how much money they actually make in general because they are not keeping accurate records of their budget and getting a clear number of their NET after taxes and expenses. I have had very unique circumstances that led me to rely on uber full time for far too long and thought I needed to use a rental car to make it happen going the distance that you need to make money doing this. I promise you if you need to do uber, get your own used car like a prius or kia or hyundai, finance your maintenance when you need it, PAY YOURSELF FIRST and pay your car payment down early if you can. But even if you have to make costly repairs on your own vehicle, at least you know what it's going to. Hertz will literally charge you thousands of dollars months after you rent your car and it is repossessed or returned on time and all paid up and literally give you no explanation or breakdown of charges. The employees at every location have no idea what kind of things hertz is actually doing and how to help customers and that is intentional. THIS REVIEW IS FOR HERTZ CORPORATION, PARTNERED WITH UBER, NOT ANY EMPLOYEES AT HERTZ UBER PEP BOYS IN CHANDLER ARIZONA, because the human beings that sit in there deserve so much more respect for going through the turmoil that being the face of this evil monster provokes. The tesla program is strictly to be a cash cow for these two corporations, and if you think its going to be cool getting to drive around the tesla, you're a sheep in a clowns mask giving your life blood to these two vampires. I thought I was in control of my time and my own boss for quite a while foolishly exhausted on all levels. IF YOU WANT TO KNOW IF YOU SHOULD BUY A TESLA THE ANSWER IS YES. That is why these cars are perfect for uber because the corporation of hertz can be completely lazy and disengaged for hundreds of thousands of miles until they have to put a cent into maintenance. All they do for inspections is literally walk around the outside of the car and write down your miles. They make it like pulling teeth to get tires put on the car when you need it and takes absolutely forever to get approval for a set of tires from tons of their "recommended" vendors. I waited hours numerous times to be told NO hertz will not approve any of these tires that are TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE TESLA WITH 18/19" RIMS THAT ARE EXTREMELY LOW PROFILE.I GUESS IT IS MORE PROFITABLE TO SKIMP ON THE MAINTENANCE AND PUT DRIVERS WHO NEED TO DRIVE 300-600 MILES EVERY DAY AT RISK RATHER THAN GIVE THEM QUALITY, LONG LASTING TIRES THAT ARE RECOMMENDED OR THAT COME ON TESLAS FROM THE FACTORY.Please trust me, give your money to someone else, preferably yourself. Find a way to build your credit and f

So far so good! Am loving my rental and plan on keeping it for a while... Would recommend to anyone looking for a ride share vehicle. Only issue you might have is lack of inventory. It took me 3 weeks and 4 reservations before I was actually able to get a vehicle. Be patient and things will work out! ?

Renee, Marie, Nolan, Kevin are all very helpful. Everytime I come in, they are all very diligent about their work and help in any way they can. They get very busy, but I can see that all of them do their best to help everyone that comes in.

Prices are different then quoted.. cars aren't upkept well.. ppl that work here can't help with anything so don't expect that. You can't get the car you want cuz either they don't have it or that have no idea why. Their knowledge of the EV cars is like talking to a wall.. they have absolutely no idea. If ya don't need to I would recommend going somewhere else to rent a car through Uber. Maybe try Avis maybe they are better equipped to handle things! I believe I will be trying them next. To add they stole almost 800.00 dollars from me and refuse to give it back should be a minus 5 stars.

Horrible Customer service. You’re just a number at this location and good luck getting the vehicle you reserved on time if at all. When you do get a vehicle it will be dirty inside and out.

Rented a vehicle for 5 days from Hertz at the Chandler, AZ San Marcos location and opted to purchase the Lost Damage Waiver for peace of mind and so I could just drop the keys off and go when I returned. I opted not to pay for gas as I filled the tank before drop off. I thought everything was great when I dropped the car off and headed home. I was surprised when I received the receipt a few minutes after returning home and was charged for fuel because it wasn't full! (see photo).I called to find out why they charged me $25.50 for not having a full tank and was told the gauge didn't read full (I don't think this person counted on me driving all the way back to confront the BOGUS CHARGE!!) I did drive back and (again, look the photo AND miles to empty) confronted the "person in charge". We walked all the way out to the car and looked together and he insisted it wasn't full! This employee insisted he had a photo to show the fuel tank somehow even fuller than when I returned the vehicle! After 20 minutes waiting for him to find pictures of the fuel and odometer at the time of rental he tells me "this is your lucky day, I can't find any pictures" even though I personally walked around the car as a different employee took pictures inside and outside the when I rented the vehicle. Besides, how would they know the beginning mileage when I rented had they not taken pictures?!? Yea, My lucky day huh!?! I realize this employee was trying to save face because he was confronted but to tell me it was my lucky day to have to drive back and deal with obvious "error" (my quotes, I'm trying to be nice), was way out of line!Had I not driven back to Hertz this charge would have appeared on my credit card and I would have played Hell trying to get a refund. The picture posted is my photo upon drop off! FUEL TANK NOT FULL MY A$$!I will not put names in this review, but I will forward higher, you can bet on that! I own a Travel Business and you can believe this is going on social media and I will caution every client I have when booking Hertz...ESPECIALLY the Chandler San Marcos location.

I would not recommend renting a Tesla for Uber driving. The battery does not last and you have to charge it 2-3 times per day and each visit is 17-22 dollars plus you have to wait there. The Staff knows this and they don't disclose it to you .. Total cost for a week's rental is North of 700 dollars

This place is absolutely horrendous, no customer service, argumentative, can’t fix any issue, system is archaic, take hours to resolve any issue, all the cars are up for maintenance, they want you per contract to take their cars to get fixed. You will lose wages dealing with this branch. I understand why all the reviews are negative. This is not how you conduct business. Unprofessional way to provide a service. You can totally tell this is a cash grab for hertz. They don’t seem to care at all. This is purely for customer to understand, hertz will not care just continue to charge you regardless.
