I totally just had the greatest U-Haul experience. I was contacted by Jocelyn via phone this morning regarding a small issue with my online truck rental reservation. We spoke about my itinerary, time frame, and my deadline. She pulled a bunch of strings to make sure that I didn't hit any speed bumps with my schedule. Just when I was starting to think U-Haul was extremely dull, she's the that makes the company shine!!

If you own this U-Haul please know, your employees do not close at 7pm on Tuesday nights, they close at 6:15pm. When I tried to get my propane refilled at 6:15 pm last night (12/19/23), they told me they were closed. I said how strange, online it says you close at 7. It was explained to me by the two younger gentlemen working there, that in order for them to close at 7, they begin closing much earlier. They had already gone through the arduous process of putting a chain and padlock on the propane station. Clearly this would take them all night to unlock, fill my propane, and then lock it all back up again!

I drive halfway across town to go to this location. I know they will have my reservation ready to go and in working order. They are helpful with hooking up trailers, answering questions and checking in equipment. I will continue to visit U-Haul Moving and Storage of Downtown Chandler for all of my U-Haul needs!

The team was friendly and welcoming. I scheduled and appointment to have a bike hitch out on my car. They made sure I had purchased the right rack for my vehicle and it matched the hitch I paid for. They were also good to remove unnecessary add ons and were able to help me with a lock for the hitch as well.The space was clean and organized. Team was friendly, helpful, and informative. The experience was great and seamless.

I was given a truck with an empty tank, but told it had a quarter tank, phot evidence shows it did not. I had a reservation with the uhaul coverage, when I reviewed my receipt the employee at the store had removed it. So I was left without coverage or knowledge of that act. The truck was dirty and so worn out I did not feel safe driving it. When I returned it I mentioned the extraordinary amount of play in the steering and he asked what I ran into. I have rented from uhaul for years. My account proves that, and this was the worst I have ever faced. I fully expect a refund and a phone call. I got nowhere with the local team.

Rented a box truck and they gave it to little bit past half tank, when returning it they wanted a full tank of pay a fee 125$

Reserved a rental. Had to change the time for it on the following day. They were very courteous and help me with no problems.They also went out of their way to find me a more suitable trailer, for what I had to move.

Employees don't know what they are doing and can't even explain the differences between the insurance packages they sell and no managers are ever available, what a joke!

I have used this location twice now. The first time I did a mobile pick up and the second time my phone crapped out so I went inside. I'm not exactly sure of the gentleman's name but if the employee that signs you out has their name on the bottom of the page next to your signature, then I was helped by Brent Decker. While I always prefer to avoid human contact due to my crippling depression, Brent made the process extremely easy and fast. Somehow returning my truck was even faster. I felt like I was at the Ritz-Carlton because as soon as I pulled up and put the van in park Brent was at the door like a valet waiting to park my Lamborghini. Anyways, I told myself not to write a novel here but when you receive excellent service you should always take a moment to leave a review and recognize the employee or employees outstanding performance. I picked up my van Thursday January 12th at 8:30 a.m. and I dropped it off the next day just before 8:30 a.m. Has anyone else noticed that it's been pretty much the same price to rent a U-Haul for several years. I seem to remember it being $19.95/daily for years now. How can you beat that? I was talking to my partner telling her you all must be the most reasonably priced company on the planet I mean seriously. Anyways I will be a returning customer. Thanks Brent

I had temporarily misplaced the key, I grabbed a spare from them and returned the vehicle. I asked them to give me a couple days and I would return the original key in which he said I would be reimbursed the $100 dollars they charged me to cut another keyNeedless to say, they did not return my call or refund me the money. So I am officially selling a Uhaul key to a Ford Transit frequently parked at this location to anyone who wants it for $100. If they won't pay me they can pay to re key it.

I've used this location for random rentals, picking up new furniture, taking stuff to goodwill etc. a few weeks ago my apartment flooded. I had to move all of my belongings from one unit in our complex to another. My complex is also less than 1 mile from this location. I rented a van for 2-3 hours on back to back days. Both days were virtually identical.. 4-5 trips from one unit to the other and then back to uhaul. We're talking 5 miles max. One of the two rentals got messed up and i was charged $180 when i was quoted about $50. Turns out the van i used (AND CHECKED BACK IN TO AN EMPLOYEE) was driven 360+ miles. I was charged for the miles. Once i realized what the charge was for, i initiated a customer service call. After 1 1/2 hours i got a rep on the phone.. who disconnected after about 1 minute of me explaining the situation. No call back. Then I initiated an online chat. The rep from the chat was incredibly uninsightful, but provided me with a dispute number and told me that I should expect a call from a supervisor in 48-72 hours. 96 hours later and i have heard nothing. I drive to this location and ask for the manager. Manager, Brent, completely unapologetic about the issue- he continued to point at his screen and show me the miles accounted for "during my rental." I rented that van for 3 hours.. it's not possible to drive 350 miles in that amount of time. I'm pointing out some type of processing or system issue that i am evidence of, and Brent could not care less. He tells me he's going to contact his superiors and i should expect a call within 3 days (again) .. this review comes 24 hours after my interaction with Brent. Depending on the resolution I may update this review. In the meantime, Absolutely avoid this location at all costs, you may be charged quadruple for a rental and then treated like a liar when you try to get it fixed. Again, DO NOT, use this location. If i dont hear from Brent or his superiors within the 72 hours then I'm handing this over to my attorney- purely out of principle. I've lost more than $200 worth of my time.

I rarely need to get any kind of uhaul but when I do I use this one not I don't anymore. (What happened was I went in asked for a 6x12 open trailer he said it's 41 dollars I said is there any kind of discount he said yes but I'm not giving it to you. I replied and said are you serious right now that you can be disrespectful towards me. I just went there for a uhaul after that he said yes I can take the price down but he won't because he doesn't care who rent it. Wont be going back leaving a review for the bbb and yelp google make sure he gets fired even tried to fight me. I left and went to the one in Mesa way more respectful.

Brent did a amazing job today. Had me in and out in under 15 minutes for the 3 tanks of propane that I needed filled. Service with a smile and fast service. It's why I keep coming back. Thanks again Brent!!!

Austin was my U-Haul rep and he blew me away with absolutely incredible amazing customer service! I work in customer service myself and definitely I was impressed! Give Austin a raise and promotion!
