First 2 times we went for lunch takeout, and everything was very good. Today we went and ordered chicken with waffles. The chicken was a premade frozen kind, and was cooked burnt the first time, with a frozen raw center. I sent it back and they served me the same chicken, charcoal at this point and still raw. Their food is usually very well made so my assumption is whoever was cooking at the time did not care to put any effort in, but considering how dangerous raw chicken is and the lack of care, we're most likely not coming back.

Perfect stop in a small town on the way to Havasu. 5 star food in a one horse town!! Well stocked full bar and fantastic very well priced. I can't compliment the food and the service enough. You must try this!!!Food: 5/5

Love this place, just wish it was closer. I always stop when I run up to our property in Peeples Valley. Great little gourmet Cafe in congress. Worth the trip of you're near.Food: 5/5

Have been to Nichols West many times and have enjoyed the food, today not so much. The Shrimp Avocado Benedict was bland and tasteless with only 2 shrimp.The Smoked Salmon Benedict had a nice favor. The have recently repainted and it is looking nice.Food: 3/5

We were traveling through Congress, Arizona, and were delighted to find Nichols West! The breakfast and the service were both excellent, as was the ambience of this cheerful little eating establishment. A traditional 3 egg breakfast sandwich for my husband and a traditional egg, bacon, sourdough toast, and the best melt-in-your-mouth hash browns....wwwooooooowww. it was all very tasty! Pinned on the map, for sure. Love the artwork!

Love your place, but you need to update your Google listing which said yesterday, 5/23/23, Tues., you were open til 7PM. We drove 85 miles r/t from Prescott only to find an empty driveway and sign on the door saying closed Mons and Tues. Also your phone has no outgoing message at all, which could say days/hours. Just a suggestion.

Seafood, miso bowls, homemade pot pie, French culinary touches to a varied menu that is not the standard rural mom & pop fare and will delight with too many “must-try” items. Treat yourself to the citrus-blossom fragrant courtyard in the back under brightly colored umbrellas. If the Phoenix metro area folks discover this place it will be a line out the door wait list as seating is limited. Prices have risen with an average $15/ person for just about anything but the discovery of the food offerings was worth it.

We are new the areas and this is our 3rd order from Nichols West. I ordered lobster Mac for lunch the first time and waited for them to prepare it. The ladies were great and the food was yummy. We ate in for date night the second time. The young man who served us was so sweet, but my husband ordered lamb and got a pork chop. He didn’t want to waste the food so they gave us dessert in them. We were disappointed but the food was ok and the service was great so we summed it up to a simple mistake. Also, I got a Caesar salad and was not impressed at all. The dressing had a sweet taste which isn’t for me. Tonight I ordered pasta to go. Shame on me for not checking the bag. I saw two items and assumed it was the pasta and my side salad. I was disappointed to open up my salad and find the bread that comes with the pasta. They close in a few minutes and I didn’t want to drive back out to eat a cold entree when I got home. The young lady wasn’t super apologetic. It’s closing time so I understand rushing. Just a warning to check your food if you order it to go. My shrimp and lobster salad is yummy!

Great food, and I’ll definitely be back. Service was slow, however, and it was because there were lots of customers and only one waiter who was working hard to see that everyone was attended to. It wasn’t his fault, but it did create a slower than usual dining experience.

Walked in when they were super busy. Waited over 30 minutes for service, but the food was worth it. The ahi tacos were perfect, the burger was on point. My only criticisms are 10% more fries, rice or beans for the tacos. And a place this good should be hiring.

Tried to call twice last night to make a reservation. The lady who answered hung up each time because she was too impatient, and the connection was not perfect. Great food and service on previous visits. Guess being nice to customers is conditional.
