I came here for a few little things and wasn't sure I would find them. I didn't even have to ask for help! Courtney came and asked if I needed anything then, proceeded to exceed any expectations I had for a small trip to the beauty store. She showed me plenty of options and was kind and courteous during the entirety of my visit. She even gave me some really helpful tips and cracked some fun jokes! I will definitely be back here to see her and recommend this Sally's to everyone I know! Thank you Courtney for such a great experience, you were made for this job, I appreciate your expertise, you rock! :)

Sally's is my go to for hair color. There isn't quite as much help or inventory available as there was pre-covid but it is understandable.

I’ve always ventured to Sally’s whenever I decided it was time for a change- having someone basic knowledge of instruction from school- I would feel confident but sketchy. I was always afraid I would cause my hair to fall out by listening to the Sally’s Employees(youtube??) - I’ve trusted none, but 1! Lyda, the branch manager for the Cottonwood Verde Valley location(which by the way, is now a national shipment stores) she is amazing. Her love for the industry and her background as a professional hairdresser, it has really changed the meaning of DIY hair...I mean she loves what she does and she is so knowledgeable- she knows hair guys!! I don’t even have to say a word, without her recognizing what will work best. Time and time again, I am greeted with warmth, kindness and a genuinely beautiful person inside and out who literally just has a passion and desire help others, and just use her knowledge and passion as a driving force- and I’m sure her success shows in areas of her life rather then the store. For me, small town influences say a lot. I promise you, This Sally’s has come leaps and bounds from what I knew it in the past. Thanks for making Cottonwood Hair Great Lyda! You are recognized for your truly amazing work, knowledge and passion. Thanks again, DIY “quarentine” edition! suggestions that actually, work....

I would like to share a traumatizing and embarrasing experience due to one associate at the 1100 AZ-260 Ste D-3, Cottonwood, AZ 86326 location. I came to this Sally Beauty location to get haircare products like I do back home at a Chicago location. I came in; asked questions about a hair mask; and purchased my items. I left the store and went to Fry's (which is in the same plaza) to buy groceries with my friends. Some minutes after, THREE policemen approached me INSIDE the grocery store indicating that it was reported I stole a 3 dollar facemask from Sally. The latter happening in the middle of the grocery store with people all around which made it EXTREMELY embarrassing. I explained to one of the officers that I did not purchase a facemask and opened my Sally bag showing my items - a container of Cantu conditioner and a coconut hairmask. The same policeman asked if I had a receipt. I stated I did not. He asked why not and I responded that I did not ask for one - which is a common occurrence in retail. He requested for me to go back to the store to clear the whole issue, which I agreed. At that moment, as a minority - I am Caribbean Afro-Latino -, I was extremely anxious and feared for my life because of the country's current political climate. I would appreciate for whoever is reading this to imagine what it would be like to think that you were about to be arrested or even worse, be killed, on the day of your birthday due to a wrongful accusation of stealing a 3 dollar facemask. We got to the store and I was immediately accused by the associate of stealing a 3 dollar facemask. I informed her that there was a misunderstanding and showed her my bag with the items I purchased. She stated to have seen me grab the 3 dollar mask and put it in my bag when I walked to another part of the store. She went on and reported to have been able to see the facemask in my bag when I left the store. I do not recall the associate's name, but I can describe her. She had fair skin, framed glasses, multi-color bangs, and brown hair. She was working the same shift as another associate who had black and green hair. The associate that accused me checked out my friend's items on Register 2 (which is the receipt information provided). I attempted to find her actual name on my friend's receipt, but was unable to find it. I spoke with friends of mine who work in retail and they informed me that an employee is to approach an individual suspected of stealing - unless Sally has a different policy. After she finished with her blatant accusation and me attempting to explain it was a mistake, one of the officers asked her what she wanted to do. She stated that there was nothing that could be done, but kept indicating to want the item back. I offered to pay for the missing item in question to clear the issue. She indicated that it could not be done because "it would throw the inventory off." I consulted with friends of mine who are managers in retail and they stated that unless Sally has a different policy in inventory management, the inventory can be manually adjusted. I suggested to look at the security cameras together to proof my innocence. She interrupted me before I finished my sentence stating, "I don't have access to those." All solutions I was suggesting, she kept shutting them down. The officer ended up suggesting to not come back to the store. This was one of the worst experiences in my life and even when asked to never come back to this location, I already have scratch out Arizona as a travel destination and will be informing my family and friends about this disturbingly traumatic experience. The whole sole reason I wanted to visit Sedona was to heal from these types of experiences that are deeply hurtful.

The employees at the store are not knowledgeable about hair care. The prices in the store tend to be up to double what they are on the Sally website and sometimes triple what they would be from the manufacturer.
