After having a bad experience a few months ago, I found myself shopping at the Best Buy next door to this hardware store. Even though I had a poor experience with a rude employee, I went back in because it was close. What a mistake!
I went in looking for shelf paper (contact paper). They didn't have it. I understand them not having an item, especially if it doesn't sell well . That's a business decision. However, because I was sure that I had seen contact paper there before, I told the lady in the front that I was going to walk around the store and browse.
I could hear a couple of the employees saying extremely unprofessional things over their radios (walkie-talkie type radios), which eventually led to two of them talking crap about a customer that they didn't like in the store. I honestly couldn't believe what I was hearing. This happened on 11/11/25 at approximately 12:15pm. What a great way to honor Veterans on Veteran's Day.
I will never go back in this store. I honestly had high hopes for it, but the staff are just condescending idiots. I honestly hope they go out of business. It was disgusting and they had no compunction whatsoever about saying it openly so anyone in the store (nearby) could hear it.

I only went in because they had the Magnolia paints (which are gorgeous, well priced, and good quality by the way!) and I was blown away by how friendly and helpful the staff is. I even had someone open the door for me on my way in. I’ve gone in three times for paint samples and there is always someone there at the register asking what I need right away. It honestly makes it feel more like a small town store. All the staff has been wonderful and I will be back!

The people are great here, the selection is great and pricing had me take a second look at how low it is. It's priced like years ago and the people are fantastic there. The family activities on the last Saturday got me going there and I'm glad they do them.

Great new Ace Hardware location next door to Best Buy. Ordered softener salt online. Easy process. Cheaper than other Ace locations. In a short time got an email ready to pick up. Went to the store, where multiple bags of salt were packed already on a cart. They wheeled the cart out to my car and loaded the salt into the car. Could not be easier. Good location and prices, courteous staff. I'll be back.

Wanted to avoid the big box hardware stores. Needed some hedge clippers. The nice man behind the register told me exactly where to go. In and out in 10 minutes.

Tried to return an ACE branded faucet cartridge and was refused service because I did not purchase the item at a Van Marcke ACE hardware. So why does ACE have franchises that don't honor their policies? Or, why does Van Marcke proudly declare they are an ACE Hardware store and not honor their products. Officially the place with the unhelpful customer service.

Needed some wire management for a job, and Home Depot was a bust. Van Marcke's ACE was the next closest hardware store. I didn't get 5 steps in the door before I was greeted and directed to an associate who could help me find what I was looking for. The store was clean, and the sales associates were super friendly and very knowledgeable. I wish all stores had friendly helpful staff.

The staff in the back is absolutely wonderful. The most helpful, caring staff for the most part… the grey haired cashier is, unpleasant to say the least. She rarely greets anyone and multiple time have I seen customers have to get her attention to get them to check her out. If she isn’t ignoring customers she has a crazy attitude… but like I said, the rest of the staff is the absolute best and are very hard workers
