Holy moly this place is AMAZING! We had the duck and shawarma, my family had the steak, burger, and honestly half the menu. All the cocktails were fantastic. We don’t eat seed oils and this place only cooks in real oil and butter. Wish they had some more gluten free options but it was still incredible! And the owner was super nice.

I loved this place! Very unique. Everything is made from scratch, which is very different these days. The staff was friendly, and the drinks were good.Everyone enjoyed there meals at our table. I had the Duck. It was a little dry for me but tasty. The Mussels were excellent!! Everyone else had various beef dishes, and were raving about how good they were. I would definitely recommend this place!!

Wonderful as always: finest produce & ingredients, both local and thoughtfully sourced. Incredible dishes, attentive and kind staff, and overall incredible. Buttoned up but casual, refined but raw, and grounded yet elevated. I’ll continue working through the menu anytime, any day. Thanks all!Vegetarian options: Not missing much with the veg. Everything crafted purposefully and not just subbing-in for a meat dish. STANDS IN ITS OWN TWO FEET!

Our server Lauren was friendly but absent. We were the first reservation of the evening. After receiving our first round of beverages and ordering our food she disappeared. We asked the chef about ordering more drinks and after several minutes and receiving our food she eventually reappeared. 2 in my party had undercooked burgers and I ordered the wood fired squash that was burned out the outer edges but not cooked enough to be soft on the inside. We explained to Lauren and she looked unhappy but informed us she would get the chef to come talk to us. He addressed the burger situation and recooked but didn't ask me about my squash which remained uneaten. I later asked Lauren would I need to speak to the chef about my squash, at that time I was informed that " he usually doesn't do anything about personal preferences". I was charged for the inedible squash. Ironically this restaurant is named persephen... A phonetic spelling of the same word. My perception of how I was treated as a customer was that the chef was more concerned about food cost than my experience. I spend a lot of time dining and this was not a hospitable act. The customer isn't always right but they should feel cared for. Maybe it was because as the server Lauren put it..." It's our Friday". Try another day besides Sunday if you choose to come here if at all

I recently dined at this delightful scratch kitchen, and it exceeded my expectations. The commitment to sourcing local meats, produce, and spirits truly shines in every dish. The chef, Jason, who also happens to be the owner, adds a personal touch with a perfect blend of fun and informative elements. Each bite felt like a celebration of local flavors, making it a must-try for any food enthusiast.

Better late than never to post a review, especially for a well deserved restaurant such as this. I called Saturday January 6th, in the morning, fairly certain that I wasn't going to get last minute reservation for Sunday the 7th. I had the pleasure of speaking with Jason. I explained we'd be visiting, and headed to this restaurant after the Seahawks game, and was hopeful to be there by 7:00. He offered a time of 6:45, and when I said "ish" he accommodated and said "see you 6:45 ish". I knew then it was going to be a great time off the customer service alone. Jason happened to be our server... and probably he's the owner too, but was elusive on his response when I asked- keeping the mystery, which I loved. He sat down with us and talked about the food, the sustainability, the process... a menu that changes and that is composted after meals, drinks that were $6 (that would normally be $18 elsewhere), and several different selections of goodies that could be made gluten free. Hubs ordered the pork, mom ordered the scallops, and I ordered steak. And the squash. And pickled vegetables. And a hot fudge sundae. And a chocolate cake... okay, so you can see, if you've made it this far, there are plenty of options. And in all fairness, I can't precisely remember what each dish was called (who cares, it was delicious). I did ask if I could tell Jason what temperature I wanted my steak- and I was told told no- I trusted the process and I am glad that I did! The restaurant is rustic- cozy, I imagine, if it is full of people. It was clean, and the food presentation added to the experience. We will return!

Way overpriced for the quality. Lamb burger was over seasoned, underwhelming, and had very little lamb especially for $32. 1 cocktail, a burger with fries, and a beer for $79…I’ve dined all over the world and that is VERY expensive especially for sub-par quality and delivery.

What a phenomenal dining experience! The waitstaff was great, but let’s be honest, we were here for the food. We started with the escargot and they were delicious and the bread that came with it was hot and delicious. Then we had the firecracker eggplant and it was out of this world! Every bite was a perfect bite and I literally used the spoon to get every morsel of sauce. That was followed by the scallops and they were perfect. Each dish was surprising and fantastic. We finished with the key lime pie and that too was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back again, and again, and again!!

The food was extremely delicious! We had the luxury of sitting at the bar and watching the chefs prepare the food. Very talented people. The atmosphere was warm and was filled with the sound of live music. The service was a little slow because it was rush hour, but it was worth the wait. We had the Escargot, Lamb Steak, and Bourbon Braised Apples. I would 100% recommend all 3 dishes.

Amazing food served by courteous staff. The chef came out to check on us and the vibes were immaculate. Perfect place for a date or family if you’re foodies.

It’s alright. Like most new american style restaurants, the menu is a jack of all trades but master of none. Some reviews warned about portions being not enough and I would agree. Not a place to e a t.For the price, there are some plates (90 day aged steak, duck, fish) we had left wanting. There’s nothing bad, just the food was indifferent. and for the price you can get a better time outside of Midtown because it feels more you’re paying for the sourcing of ingredients and the rent, than the preparation.Would prefer the menu to look like a menu, rather than a college student’s resume.
